00:02Thousands of victims of EJK went to the National Bureau of Investigation of the NBI

00:08to file their complaint.

00:11This is also a complaint for their experience of bullying and bashing online.

00:17They asked the NBI to help them

00:20with the spread of misinformation against the victims of EJK.

00:26This is Isaiah Mirafuentes.

00:31Unacceptably, this is what happened to the victims of EJK

00:37during the War on Drugs of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:41They were accused of bashing online

00:44after the International Criminal Court or ICC arrested the former president.

00:50The bashers played with their videos and pictures online

00:54and made fun of their experiences during Duterte's time.

00:59We just want justice.

01:02But what they do to us is to manipulate us.

01:05We will make fake news,

01:07manipulate our videos,

01:10the images that we hold,

01:12and say it's fake.

01:14Today, some of the victims of EJK went to the National Bureau of Investigation or NBI

01:19to file their unacceptable bashing.

01:23Among those who went to the NBI was Ms. Sheila,

01:25who was recently bashed online

01:28after her picture was spread with the picture of her child.

01:32They were accompanied by a human rights lawyer,

01:34Atty. Cristina Conti.

01:36They asked the NBI to help them

01:38with the spread of misinformation against the victims of EJK.

01:44They want to know the real name and address of those who posted fake news.

01:51According to the group,

01:53if they find out who these people are,

01:55they will immediately file a case like a libel.

01:59The attacks are vilification.

02:04They are harming people.

02:05And me, particularly, I have red tagging,

02:09which I think, especially in the context of the time now,

02:13has added weight.

02:16They believe that the pro-Duterte are the ones who are fighting against them.

02:21Atty. Conti also said that they have already talked to some well-known vloggers

02:25that they want to sue.

02:26They appeal to the NBI.

02:28It's easy to talk to these people

02:30because there was a big negative effect of bashing on the relatives of the victims of EJK.

02:35They also clarified that they will not sue people who just shared

02:39or reacted to fake news posts.

02:41But if they shared and gave a bad comment,

02:45they will sue these people.

02:47They also claimed that they will not allow Duterte to be released for the time being

02:52and they will continue to look for justice.
