00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said over 100 victims whose homes were partially damaged

00:06by today's gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights will receive 2,500 ringgit each.

00:13Anwar also said the owners of houses that were completely damaged by the fire will receive

00:185,000 ringgit.

00:20He said that the responsibility to repair and rebuild the damaged homes will fall on

00:25the federal and state governments as well as patronas.

00:29Meanwhile Malaysian hypermarket chain Mighty Momma Holdings Berhard has offered 10,000

00:34ringgit to the victims.

00:37The massive fire, which spread to several houses and forced residents to evacuate, was

00:41finally extinguished by 3.45pm.

00:46At least 190 homes, 148 cars and 12 motorcycles were damaged in the fire.

00:52Selangor Menteri Besar Amiruddin Shari said 305 victims have been sent to temporary relief

00:58centers or treated at the Subang Jaya and Samui Medical Centers and the Serdang and

01:03Putrajaya Government Hospitals.
