00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says the report submitted by the Royal Commission of Inquiry

00:05on Batu Putih, Middle Rocks and Southledge has unveiled treachery committed against Malaysia.

00:12Anwar said the previous government, namely the administration that Dr Mahathir Mohamad

00:16led from May 2018 to February 2020, should have fought to the end for every inch of Malaysia's

00:22territory.

00:23He said the RCI has revealed weaknesses, adding that any misconduct related to the handing

00:27over of sovereignty is major treachery.

00:30Anwar, however, said the legal process must be respected and he will allow that to take

00:35place first.

00:37Yesterday, the RCI's Declassified Report said Mahathir had unilaterally decided against

00:42proceeding with the applications to review and interpret the International Court of Justice's

00:472008 decision on Batu Putih.

00:50The RCI also recommended that a police report be filed against Mahathir, saying a criminal

00:54investigation should be initiated under Section 415B of the Penal Code for cheating.

00:59In 2008, the ICJ awarded Middle Rocks to Malaysia and Batu Putih to Singapore, while the ownership

01:05of Southledge was left for determination based on the delimitation of territorial waters.
