00:00Hello Newcastle! I have to say, that open top post parade, I knew you'd do Newcastle
00:19proud, but that just proves why you're the best fans in the entire world!
00:27It was absolutely incredible. There was kids in every tree, people fanning from every lamppost.
00:34It was absolutely amazing. It was a dream come true for us to be on the top of that
00:38bus. It was a dream come true. Me and Dec met on
00:41Biker Grove. You couldn't see, man!
00:44You couldn't see, he's blind! Back when we were 13 and we used to go and watch
00:50Newcastle. We bonded over a love of Newcastle United.
00:53In the Gallagher Ends, at the School of Laws, and when we were 13 and we were a little,
00:59well Dec was littler than he was, he's now. We used to try and start, we used to try and
01:07start chants and no one would ever join in with our chants.
01:10We were never very successful at it. Can you please make a lifelong dream come
01:14true and we start a chant together. Oh, let's start a chant.
01:18OK, should we do it? Tune! Tune!
01:23Tune! Tune!
01:25Tune! Tune!
01:27Tune! Tune!
01:29Tune! Tune!
01:31That's the first time it's ever worked. It's incredible.
01:34But I think it's enough messing about, isn't it, Hans?
01:37It is. I think the real reason you're all here, the real reason everybody's here today
01:42is to celebrate that team, that fantastic team that we all saw win 12 days ago at Wembley.
01:50And we'd love to see that cup lifted again on the Town Hall in front of us all, wouldn't we?
01:57So, Newcastle, please welcome to the stage, the winners of the 2025 Caramel Cup, Newcastle United!
02:12CHEERING

07:48That's the biggest one yet!

08:09Best groundsman in the league, him!
08:21Come on, Neil!
08:29Here's the kit man! One rear, yes!
08:34Why are the lads so small every week?
08:44Enjoy that?
08:51Come on, yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Here we go!
08:59Yes!
09:05Jody Boys, take that piss!
09:25All right, Bruno, can we pick one that's friendly, like, no swear words in it?
09:30Let's hear it one more time for the winners of the 2025 Carabao Cup,
09:35UCAS United!
09:42I think we'd like to hear from the goalscorers, from our captains,
09:46but let's start with the main man, the manager, Eddie Howe!
09:51Eddie, we'd love to have a chat with you.
09:53Talk us through that moment when the full-time whistle went at Wembley.
09:58How did you feel then? How have you felt all week? And how do you feel right now?
10:02Yeah, it was an amazing moment when that whistle went.
10:04It was a lot of time, obviously, the length of time since the club's won Eddie Silverware.
10:10We were aware of the importance of that.
10:12We wanted to try and bring success, happiness to everybody here,
10:15but the scenes today have just taken our breath away.
10:19A big thank you to everyone that's come and supported us.
10:21The loyalty, passion, devotion that you show us, we really appreciate it.
10:31As you said, Eddie, it's been 17 years since the last domestic trophy.
10:37It feels like this could be just the beginning. Is that how it feels to you?
10:42Well, we hope so. I think it's very difficult in football to make any promises,
10:46but the promise we can give is that we give absolutely everything,
10:50in every moment, in every game, to try and bring long-term success to this football club.
10:55It's what the devotion and the passion and the support you give us.
10:59It's the least we can do, and that's what we're trying to do from this day forward.
11:03Eddie, since the win at Wembley, you yourself have been awarded the freedom of the city of Newcastle.
11:12How did you feel about it? How did you feel?
11:14Probably deserved, right?
11:19Yeah, I got a text message, and it was my vote. I didn't expect it.
11:24It's an incredible honour, one that I'll take very gratefully. It means a lot to me and my family.
11:30I think we're going to walk some sheep through the town more soon, so...
11:34And black and white cows, yeah?
11:36And black and white cows, so I'm looking forward to doing that.
11:38You mean like a couple of cows in the transport office?
11:42Jason, I've got one question for you. Eddie's right, old man.
11:45Give it up for Mardon!
11:48And do you reckon that the win at Wembley was down to me holding up my Jason Tiddle scarf?
11:57Certainly a lucky scarf, Eddie.
12:00How did it feel for you? Because, I mean, great bunch of lads, great cap fan, great city, right?
12:06Oh, unbelievable squad, and, you know, even the guys that didn't manage to get on the pitch,
12:11the contribution they have made throughout the season, and especially in the cap competition.
12:16So, you know, everyone said that we've experienced it.
12:19Certainly the best fans in the world, for sure.
12:22And we want to thank everyone for such an amazing turnout today.
12:25Well said, well said, man.
12:27Ladies and gentlemen, and I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it.
12:31La-la-la-la-like it. La-la-la-la-like it.
12:34Here we go. Eddie Howard, Jason Tiddle.
12:39Sorry, Bruno, you wanted to talk there for a second, and I can't turn down the captain of UCAS United.
12:45How do you feel, my friend?
12:47Very good.
12:56Bruno, we saw you get emotional on the pitch at the full-time whistle, you seemed emotional today.
13:02How are you feeling, man?
13:03Unbelievable. Very good, very, very good.
13:06I think everyone here deserves it.
13:0817 years is a lot for our fans.
13:10Hopefully this is just the beginning.
13:12We want more, and we're going to work for it.
13:15Thank you very much.
13:17And can you sum up what these fans, these UCAS United fans, mean to you and to the players?
13:24A lot, a lot. We did it for them.
13:27We spent a lot of time together, so they deserve everything.
13:32We played for them as well.
13:34Thank you, Skipper. Absolutely brilliant effort.
13:38Yeah.
13:42Guys, guys, everyone, everyone with me.
13:56Again, again, again.
14:08Sandro Tonale!
14:11Sandro Tonale!
14:14He eats spaghetti, he loves mojete.
14:17He hates focaccia, no!

14:29He hates focaccia, no!
14:38He is Brazilian.
14:41UCAS Bolivar.
14:45We thank you so fucking brilliant.
14:48It's Jordan's turn.
14:52He is Brazilian.
14:55UCAS Bolivar.
14:59Bruno's going to pay for my holiday now.
15:04Well done, Mark.
15:05We're going to do a photograph with all of the team.
15:07I think the photographer's here, so we're going to turn around.
15:11Sabrina's here to take a picture with everybody.
15:13You're all in the background of this one.
15:15It's a history-making photograph.
15:18You're all in.
15:20Make sure you're smiling.
15:21That's it, scarves up, flags up.
15:24Get your scarves up, get your flags up.
15:26We've got the cover of the field.
15:27We've got the Carabao Cup winning team.
15:30We'll give you a countdown.
15:31Put your best smiles on.
15:34Here we go.
15:35In three, two, one.
15:40There it is.
15:41Two, two.
15:43Go, go, go.
15:44Two, two.
15:45Go, go, go.
15:46Two, two.
15:47Go, go, go.
15:48Go, go, go.
15:49Go, go, go.
15:50Go, go, go.
15:51Go, go, go.
15:52Go, go, go.
15:53Go, go, go.
15:54Go, go, go.
15:55Thank you very much, lads.
15:57We'd like the crowd to come in and the goal scorer.
16:00Dan Burr.
16:01Where's Dan Burr?
16:03He's gone blind.
16:07Yeah, look at this.
16:08Yes.
16:10He's gone blind.
16:12You've never, ever beaten Dan Burr.
16:15He's gone blind.
16:18You've never, ever beaten Dan Burr.
16:21He's gone blind.
16:24Dan, best fans in the world, first of all, aren't they?
16:28Oh, yeah, amazing.
16:31Special day, just buzzing out.
16:32We could do it for the city and the region, I think.
16:34Come out today and see how special it's been for everyone.
16:37I'll never forget it.
16:39You've been there on the terraces, supporting the team.
16:42You know, if there was an octopus parade back in the day,
16:45you would have been there on the streets.
16:47You know exactly what it means to everybody here, don't you?
16:49I mean, can you sum up how you feel about today?
16:53Yeah, tough.
16:54As I said, I felt a bit numb after the fight.
16:56I didn't really know how to feel,
16:58because we're just not used to winning trophies.
17:02But, yeah, I've been really emotional today.
17:04I kept saying how long I was having to compose myself on the bus,
17:07because you could just see how much it meant to people.
17:09And today's the first time that I've really experienced it.
17:14Can we talk about the goal?
17:16Yeah, absolutely.
17:17When Vladimir comes over, and when Callister stood there,
17:21it was like me walking in.
17:25No, he stood no chance, really, did he?
17:27What was going through your head?
17:30Hit it as hard as he can.
17:33I think it was just one of them.
17:35I'll probably never, ever do that again,
17:37but I've saved it for a special occasion.
17:39And as soon as I hit it, I knew it was in.
17:41It was just a shame it was in the Liverpool Inn,
17:43because I didn't know what to do when I celebrated.
17:45You just had to find some of the lads to celebrate.
17:47I just had to find someone.
17:48So, Willersteel, I was straight in front of him,
17:50so I ran straight for him.
17:53And then you left the next morning, joined up with England,
17:56made your England debut.
17:57How was that?
17:58Yeah, amazing.
17:59Everything I could have dreamt of.
18:02Amazing week to play in that game.
18:09Yeah, honestly, no big chance was gone,
18:11so to have that experience,
18:13like everything I've dreamt of,
18:15it's happened in two weeks,
18:16so it's, yeah, hard to put into words.
18:19You said you thought that dream was gone.
18:21There was a time you thought you'd never sign for Newcastle,
18:23wasn't there?
18:24You thought that that time had gone,
18:25and when the takeover happened,
18:26you thought maybe you wouldn't get a chance to come home.
18:30Now you have, and when you came,
18:32did you think you'd be part of a cup-winning team?
18:35Did you think that was on the cards?
18:36Well, I'd be lying if I thought I did,
18:38but I think the aim was just to stay up that first season,
18:41but, yeah, we've created something special.
18:43I said before the final it would have been a real shame
18:45if this team and this staff hadn't won something,
18:48so I'm just very, very grateful that we managed to do it.
18:51We're very grateful.
18:52Thank you very much.
18:53We'd like to speak to the second goal scorer.
18:56Thanks, Dan.
18:57Thanks, Dan.
18:58Where's Isaac?
18:59Alexander Isaac!
19:02Alex, the Geordie crowd love you.
19:06We love you.
19:07Teammates love you.
19:08When that second goal went in,
19:10when the ball came down to you and you rifled it in,
19:13how did that feel?
19:16It's impossible to describe the feeling.
19:20I scored a goal a minute earlier.
19:23It was called offside.
19:24A very good goal, by the way.
19:25Yeah.
19:26Not wrong with that.
19:27Yeah, no, but that goal was probably the biggest goal in my career,
19:32obviously to get us the win in the end,
19:34so it felt amazing.
19:40Today, going through the city on that open-top bus,
19:44you could see how much it meant to everybody in the city.
19:47How did it make you feel on top of the bus?
19:50Yeah, I think it means the world to all of us,
19:53but it probably means more to see how much it means to the people,
19:57and we're so happy to be able to give the city and the fans a trophy like this.
20:03We love you guys,
20:06and we especially love players who come to Newcastle United
20:09and try the Geordie dialect and try to speak like a Geordie.
20:13I've heard you on Instagram do a couple of things.
20:16Give us your best Geordie to this crowd today.
20:19Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye.
20:25Are you walking?
20:29That'll do it.
20:30That'll do it.
20:31Alexander Isak!
20:39Yes, Bruno, Bruno, you can have the microphone
20:42as long as you cut the swearing.
20:45He doesn't understand.
20:46Boys, with me now.
20:48Campione, campione, ole, ole, ole.
20:55Campione, campione, ole, ole, ole.
21:01Campione, campione, ole, ole, ole.
21:09Campione, campione, ole, ole, ole.
21:15Thank you, thank you very much.
21:17Bruno, let me just ask you one question before we let you go.
21:21As captain on the day at Wembley,
21:24what did you say to the boys before they went out for that final?
21:29Well, I said to them,
21:31today we go to the pitch as a player
21:34and we leave there as a fucking legend.
21:36And you know why.
21:49Eddie, I'm sure you'll keep it clean,
21:52so we'll leave the last words with you.
21:54Anything you want to say to the Newcastle United fans
21:57and the Newcastle United faithful?
21:59Yeah, I think the overall message is a big thank you.
22:03So first I'd like to thank the staff who work incredibly hard.
22:07We've got the likes of Tony Toward who's been here for so long.
22:10Give Tony a round of applause.
22:16There's Tony, does a brilliant job and he's done it for so long.
22:20Ray Thompson, step forward, Ray, please.
22:23Incredible.
22:24Mick Curran.
22:27Neil Stoker.
22:28Neil Stoker.
22:31Brilliant people.
22:32Paul Catterson.
22:33Paul, come to the front, please.
22:36Glenn Patterson.
22:39Matt Hodges.
22:42James Bunce.
22:43Come to the front.
22:50Jordan Drive.
22:53Swanja Lau.
22:55Adam Bartlett.
22:59Have I missed anyone?
23:02Darren Eales, come walk to the front.
23:04Do the walk.
23:13I'd like to thank the players for their effort,
23:16their professionalism, their commitment.
23:19But I think the big thing for us now as a group is we have to go again.
23:22We've got ten games to go in the Premier League season,
23:24we've got to go again.
23:29Finally, for me, it's a big thank you to you, everyone that supported us.
23:34Not just this season, but all the seasons before us.
23:39We could and we're nothing without the support of you.
23:43And the one thing we have to do is match your passion on the pitch
23:48and that's what we're trying to do from this day forward.
23:52Thank you very much.
23:58Thank you, Eddie.
24:01And thank you.
24:02Let's hear it one more time for the winners of the 2025 Paralympic Games,
24:07UCAS United!
24:13Thank you, lads.
24:15Thank you, lads.
24:16Good luck against Brentford.
24:17And we're the lads!
