Transcript
00:00Here at Newcastle's Town Moor weather stages. It's getting set. It's getting there for Newcastle's
00:062025 Cowabunga Cup winners celebrations here, which will take place on
00:11Saturday March 29th. It's been
00:1470 years in the making, a wait for a domestic trophy finally over for Newcastle United. Have you calmed down yet? Has it sunk in yet?
00:21Well, I imagine probably not but it will become really
00:26real if you like, for those who maybe didn't get to witness it at Wembley, to see the full squad back together on
00:34that stage
00:35celebrating the win in Newcastle and really enjoying that moment. It's been 70 years in the making for Newcastle
00:43but really the club have had less than two weeks to get this all set up.
00:48150,000 people estimated to be in attendance just on the Town Moor alone. The club have put on a bus parade
00:54which will run from St. James's Park down
00:57Gallagher to Percy Street and then up Great North Road and then arrive turning to the Town Moor just behind me there on Saturday evening.
01:05So that is scheduled to take place between 4 and 6 p.m
01:10on Saturday evening. If you google map it, the drive is only about six minutes
01:14but you imagine a nice open-top bus parade will take a little bit longer than that. The event itself, fans are
01:21recommended to arrive anytime from 1.30 p.m. Tickets will be scanned. On entry
01:27there will be a full replay showing of the Carabao Cup final on the big screens yet to be set up. As for the event
01:33itself, fans are welcome to bring their own food and drink but no alcohol and there will be
01:38bag checks in place and obviously it will be an all-standing event as such. No chairs
01:43allowed to be brought in so players may not arrive until the Saturday evening.
01:48Just bear that in mind. In terms of the alcohol, you've got Weiland Brewery behind me there
01:55but that is closed for a private event. So you will have to venture further afield if you want a pint.
02:00It's Thursday now, still plenty of work still left to do but good to see it taking shape and
02:04I'll be there covering the event for the Shields Gazette on
02:10Saturday March 29th. Hope to see you all there. Cheers.
