The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, Feb. 25 said that warm winds from the Pacific, known as the easterlies, will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to several parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.

00:12As of now, we are still not monitoring any typhoons or low-pressure areas inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:21But we have two weather systems that are affecting our country.
00:26First, we have the Northeast Monsoon here in Mayluson.
00:31Meanwhile, we also have the Easter Leaves or the hot and humid wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.
00:38If we can see here in our satellite imagery, we have clouds here and this is the tip of the Easter Leaves.
00:46For our weather for today, we will experience cloudy and rainy weather here in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora and Quezon.
00:58This is the tip of the Northeast Monsoon or the hot and humid wind.
01:02For Metro Manila and other parts of Mayluson, we expect to see cloudy and rainy weather with isolated light rains or thunderstorms.
01:14Temperature for Metro Manila, 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
01:18Lauag, 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
01:21For Togegarau, we expect 20 to 28 degrees Celsius.
01:25Baguio, 14 to 23 degrees Celsius.
01:28Tagaytay, 20 to 28 degrees Celsius.
01:31And Legazpi, 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
01:35Palawan, 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.
01:45Aguat, 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.
01:51For Ibizayas, Carragan, Northern Mindanao and Davao Region,
01:58we expect to experience cloudy and rainy weather with isolated light rains or thunderstorms.
02:06For other parts of Mindanao, we expect to experience sunny and hot weather with isolated light rains or thunderstorms.
02:25As of now, we do not have a shear line that can affect any part of our country.
02:30But we expect this to return by the weekend and affect Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas.
02:37So be careful for our fellow countrymen in these areas.
02:41This is because of the rainfall of the past few days.
02:46Temperature for Ilug-Ilo, Tacloban, Cagandeoro and Cebu, 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.
02:52For Zamboanga, 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:55And Davao, 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:59We have a high gale warning here in Batanes, Cagayan, including Baboyan Islands,
03:04Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and Isabela.
03:07This is because of the rainfall of the Northeast Monsoon.
03:10So we are asking our fellow countrymen to be careful,
03:13especially those who have cars that are small for the sea.
03:16It is dangerous to sail here in the coastal waters.
