Fair weather with isolated rain showers expected across most of the Philippines

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, Jan. 7, that most of the country will experience generally fair weather over the next few days, though isolated rain showers are still possible in some areas. 00:00At present, we do not see or monitor any LPA or typhoon inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility

00:08even though strong winds and shear lines are still blowing and affecting some parts of the Luzon area.

00:16Although we see that we do not see any heavy rains or any bad weather that could cause continuous rains all day long in any part of our country,

00:28we can say that generally fair weather conditions are the main cause of heavy rains today.

00:36Although it is possible that later tonight, the effects of the shear lines will be felt again,

00:43especially in the eastern part of the Southern Luzon area where there is the Bicol Region,

00:49and also possible in the eastern section of Visayas.

00:52So, later tonight, we will be able to experience the rainfalls of the shear lines in the aforementioned areas.

00:59And in the next few days, we still do not see any LPA or typhoon that could possibly affect any part of our country.

01:07So, we expect that generally fair weather conditions will continue in most of our areas until the next few days.

01:18So, the weather conditions here in the Luzon area will change.

01:21If we can see in our latest satellite image, the Northeast Monsoon continues to affect the northern and central zone areas.

01:31Because of the strong winds, we expect cloudy skies and light to moderate rains in Cagayan Valley,

01:39Cordillera Administrative Region, and also in Aurora.

01:44Because of the shear lines, it is also possible for heavy rains to fall in some parts of Quezon Province.

01:52In the eastern part of the Luzon, here in Ilocos Region,

01:56and also in the eastern part of the Central Luzon, as well as here in Metro Manila,

02:01the weather conditions will be clear except for the possibility of weak rains or typhoons.

02:09And in the eastern part of the Luzon, here in Calabar Zone, Mimaropa, as well as in Bicol Region,

02:16it is still possible for isolated thunderstorms, storms, or sudden heavy rains.

02:23For the temperature forecast, in the neighboring cities here in Luzon,

02:28it is possible to reach 30 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures today here in Lawag, Metro Manila, and also in Legazpi City.

02:37The temperature will be cold, around 2 degrees Celsius today,

02:40and it will only play from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.

02:44And in Tagaytay, the maximum temperature will play from 21 to 28 degrees Celsius.

02:50Here in Baguio, our temperature can play from 14 to 21 degrees Celsius.

02:57There will be times in the northern part of our country, here in Palawan, Visayas, and also in Mindanao,

03:05we do not expect continuous rains all day long.

03:09So we expect generally fair weather, hot weather in the afternoon,

03:14and there is still a possibility of sudden rains or sudden rains,

03:19followed by localized thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon or evening.

03:24As for the temperature forecast for the neighboring cities, in Palawan, Kalayaan Islands,

03:29it will play from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures today here in Puerto Princesa.

03:38As for the neighboring cities in Visayas or over Visayas area,

03:42our temperatures for Iloilo and Cebu, the maximum temperatures can reach 30 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius for Tacloban.

03:53Here in Mindanao, Zamboanga, and also in Metro Davao, our temperatures can reach 32 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures,

04:02and for Aguat, the temperatures today in Cagayan de Oro can play from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.

04:11As for the sea level, there is still a high chance of high waves or gale warnings in the north coast of Northern Luzon,

04:21in the coastal towns of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and also in the northern coast of Ilocos Norte.

04:28So it is still dangerous to sail, especially for our countrymen who have small sea vehicles.
