00:00The 13th Dubai International Film Festival concluded Wednesday night, with winners of

00:13the MUHUR Awards recognized in a ceremony.

00:15The Dark Wind, a film about a Yazidi couple preparing for their wedding directed by Hussein

00:20Hassan, received the MUHUR Best Feature, which came with a 200,000 dirhams cash prize.

00:26I'm very happy if I get this prize tonight.

00:30Thanks for Joy, thanks for the International Film Festival.

00:34Another big winner was Emirati director Abdullah Alkaabi, whose debut feature Only Men Go

00:39to the Grave went home with a 75,000 dirhams MUHUR Emirati Best Feature.

00:44Did I expect to win?

00:45You know, we all have our insecurities, so they've been coming up during the festival,

00:54so to be very honest with you, not really, because I was competing against very talented

01:00filmmakers.

01:01I saw some of the selection, especially the shorts were fantastic, but you know, in the

01:08end, we're not racing cars.

01:09In the end, we're all great filmmakers, we're all selected, we're all in the festival, and

01:13this is for all of us.

01:14A Made for Each, a documentary about the plight of domestic workers in Beirut, scooped the

01:19Best Non-Fiction Film in the MUHUR Feature for director Abi Samra, who also received

01:24100,000 dirhams.

01:25Lebanese actress Julia Kassar won the MUHUR Feature Best Actress for her role as Therese,

01:30a woman struggling to come to terms with her brother's death and husband's infidelity in

01:34romantic drama Solitaire.

01:36MUHUR Feature Best Actor was Ali Subhi for Ali, the Goat, and Ibrahim about a man who

01:41falls in love with a goat.

01:42The MUHUR Shorts Best Film went to We Are Just Fine Like This by Mehdi M. Baraswi, which

01:47was about an old man who is passed around by his adult children.

01:50Other awards were given in various categories, including MUHUR Golf Short, MUHUR Best Director

01:55and Special Jury Prize MUHUR Feature.

01:57Student Viraj Ashir took home the 2016 Young Journalist Award instituted by DIFT and Golf
