00:00I feel humbled to make the movie and to have this cast give me their trust so we
00:14can create the story and the characters and it's very exciting when people or
00:20audiences feel excited by that. It gives the movie more life. I had the privilege
00:23of working with Christian and Amy in The Fighter and with Bradley Cooper and
00:27Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Lining so it was very exciting to combine them. It
00:31was exciting for them to all be together and it was and so you could feel it on
00:34the set to have to have them all take risks they've never taken before, to play
00:40roles they've never played before. It's a blessing when you have so many wonderful
00:43voices and amazingness in a picture. I mean I thank them for everything they
00:48brought to the picture. It's a piece of magic. The awards or the festivals like
00:52Dubai are very useful because they make cinema exciting, they reach a wider
00:57audience. That's what it means to us. It's a privilege to be part of it in any way.
01:01It's exciting if you aspire to do your best so you can be part of it but you
01:05can't do it because of that. The Dubai International Film Festival has been
01:08absolutely a wonderful experience because of two reasons. One it's brought
01:12me in front of all you wonderful people. What I realize is that when you have
01:15films coming from all over the world and it actually has united all of us so this
01:21platform I feel has been like cinema uniting all of us together. The best
01:25moment is to meet all my old friends, all the filmmakers and to get to know
01:30new filmmakers, serious filmmakers who want to make a change in this world.

01:45They put me in contact with the director of the movie and it was such a pleasure
01:49to be able to, since my goal was all this time is to merge Middle Eastern music
01:54with rock music, it's been such a pleasure to be able to do it in a movie
01:59such as American Hustle with all these major actors trying to introduce our
02:04culture, our music to the world in a more subtle and you know nice way.
