00:51This is the message of House Speaker Martin Romualdez in the adjournment of the session of the Camera last night.
00:58There is a motion to direct the Secretary General to immediately endorse to the Senate the impeachment complaint.
01:05Having been filed by more than one third of the membership of the House or a total of 215 members,

01:29In a historic occasion, the congressmen formally impeached Vice President Sara Duterte.
01:37This is the first time in the history of the Philippines that the second president of the Philippines has been impeached.
01:44Culpable violation of the Constitution, betrayal of public trust, graft and corruption, and other high crimes are the grounds of impeachment.
01:55A total of 215 congressmen or more than one third of the House members signed the complaint,
02:01so it was quickly included in the plenary and was transmitted to the Senate.
02:05It was first mentioned by Presidential Son and House Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos,
02:12while at the end of the list was House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
02:16Even if he is impeached, it does not mean that VP Sara will immediately leave office.
02:22The Senate will serve as impeachment trial court.

02:54All 11 will prosecute the second president, including the lawyers.
03:00I'm honored to be selected as one of the prosecutors. I think this impeachment process is a good venue.
03:06This is a good opportunity to lay the evidence for this impeachment complaint.
03:11And it's also the perfect opportunity for the Vice President herself to be given due process.
03:17For now, the complaint will be discussed in the Senate.
