00:00At this point, let's talk about the update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President On The Go.

00:21First, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has already distributed the collection of funds of 2024.

00:29It is the highest in the past two decades.

00:33In a statement by our President in the 2025 BIR National Tax Campaign Kickoff at the Philippine International Convention Center, BICC,

00:41our President said that the BIR collected Php 2.85 trillion in 2024, surpassing the Php 2.52 trillion record in 2023.

00:53According to the President, because of the collection of funds last year, the new schools will be funded at Php 1,140,800,

01:05190,133 kilometers of roads, and 167,014 rural health facilities.

01:15Our President, Marcos, Jr., also called our fellow countrymen and reminded them to pay the right amount of funds.

01:22This means that every citizen who follows the correct payment of taxes becomes a part of the development of our country.

01:29Meanwhile, the BIR strengthened its tax collection by expanding the tax base, simplifying the process and documentary requirements,

01:37and digitalizing the tax system.

01:40These initiatives resulted in the registration of 74,656 new establishments in 2024.

01:48The total number of registered taxpayers is now almost Php 5.7 million.

01:52This is also the strengthening of compliance enforcement by inspecting and verifying 307,028 establishments

02:04where Php 257 million was recovered through compliance checks.

02:12The President also mentioned BIR banks against tax fraud, particularly the Run After Fake Transactions or RAF program

02:19that resulted in the filing of cases against ghost sellers and buyers.
