00:00almost can't use as many superlatives as you want to use to explain the type of impact that he's had
00:07on the Eagles on the league this year. He is undergoing the greatest rushing season in the
00:13history of the NFL. When you include regular season and postseason, he's just 30 yards away
00:19from breaking the all-time record. It's not a stat we talk about very often, but it is indicative
00:24of how great a season he's had. And people will say, well, TD, Saquon has an extra game over TD.
00:31True, except for the fact that TD had 62 more carries to this point in the season than Saquon
00:38had. So Saquon is even more efficient. This is one of the most talented offensive lines of all time.
00:44People think of the 90s Cowboys, but these guys are right there with them. Unfortunately,
00:50the injuries that you just mentioned, Matt, we have to see how Landon Dickerson, if he's able
00:55to play, is Cam Juergens back any better than it was at the start of the NFC Championship game?
01:01I think those are real concerns going in, but clearly it didn't hamper Philly all that much.
01:08No, it didn't. And, you know, I think some of that can, you can look at the opponent. Obviously,
01:13Washington was a very good team. They're not as good as Kansas City is though. I feel confident
01:19saying that. So yeah, those things really matter. And I think too, from Saquon's perspective is,
01:25you know, normally with the MVP of the Super Bowl, it's going to be a quarterback. We look
01:28at quarterbacks. It's not always, but often it is. But I'll tell you what position it isn't all
01:34that often. It's not a running back. You know, you mentioned Terrell Davis. That was the last
01:39Super Bowl MVP running back, I believe. It's a very exclusive list. I want to say there was about
01:45seven running backs that were MVPs, and there has not been one recently. And I think when people
01:52think of that Philadelphia offense, they think of Saquon Barkley because of the season he's
01:56having, like you mentioned. Now, Jalen Hurts is obviously great. He's a key component. We saw him
02:01put up massive numbers in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs just two years ago. I mean, I don't
02:05think it's a foregone conclusion if the Eagles win, Saquon's going to be MVP. But at the same time,
02:10it feels like that's the narrative. That's almost the destiny of this team if they win it.
02:15So to me, that's a very interesting sort of a prop, a look ahead if you think the Eagles
02:20are going to win. Maybe you go that route instead for a little better payoff.
