00:00Good morning it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Monday January the 20th
00:04just bringing you some of our headlines today. First of all I'm just putting out
00:09this morning Doncaster Restaurants is in the finals of the British Kebab Awards
00:14I've put something out late last year about them reaching the
00:18semi-finals they're now in the finals there is a link on there how you can
00:22vote for them the ceremony itself takes place at the end of February so if you
00:28want to vote you need to get in there sharpish like I say that's going to be
00:32going online very shortly. Then something we got from the police this morning an
00:36urgent appeal has been launched for two missing 15 year old girls which are
00:40believed to be in Doncaster the initial report came from North Yorkshire police
00:44who were searching for the pair they were missing from the Selby area last
00:49night there's a couple of pictures on there of the girls so if you do see them
00:53get in touch with the police and if you want to share that story get it
00:58further afield then please do so. And then finally a nice one for you
01:04council tax the council tax in Doncaster will remain the lowest in Yorkshire and
01:08one of the lowest across the country according to Mayor Rose Jones she said
01:13that the council tax will increase by 1.99% which means the authority will not
01:18be raising the rate by the maximum amount so that is good news I know a lot
01:23of people you're not happy paying the council tax but it looks like you're
01:28not going to be getting an increase rate or not a major increase so like I say
01:32that story's on the website today for those for anything else that's coming in
01:36just visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and obviously you can keep up to date
