00:00Good morning it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday January the 22nd.
00:04Just bringing you some headlines this morning. We have a story out of officers investigating
00:09a prolific Doncaster shoplifter have secured a three-year criminal behaviour order against him
00:15which bans him from two stores in Woodlands. Paul Greaves targeted Heron Foods and the co-op
00:21which are both located in Great North Road during a five-day stealing spree back in December.
00:28He's stolen lots and lots of items, food, toiletries, all sorts, cleaning products, chocolate.
00:34So you can read about what he's been up to on the website today.
00:39Last night, late afternoon going into tea time, a lot of people got in touch with us.
00:47There was a major road traffic accident near to the racecourse Roundabout. We got some
00:54information from the ambulance service quite quickly. They said four people
00:58were taken to hospital. I understand there were actually four ambulances at the scene as well.
01:03We're yet to hear from the police about what actually happened but we'll bring you that
01:06hopefully at some point this morning. I'll keep you updated when I do get some information.
01:13And then finally, a story that was sent out over the weekend at a gathering pace.
01:19Save Tickles Tree Campaign. A group of villagers have gathered together protesting and boycotting
01:27over proposals to chop down two trees in Tickle Village which are nearly 130 years old.
01:33The Cherry Lane Garden Centre have proposed the trees being cut down and that's met with a lot
01:40of anger from residents. So they were out protesting yesterday morning. There were some
01:45TV crews there as well to take stock of what was going on. So for that story and obviously
01:52we'll keep you updated on that and then for anything else that's happening in Doncaster
01:56just visit the website www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk, Facebook and X and have a great Wednesday.
