Transcript
00:00 Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Friday December the 29th.
00:05 Just bringing you some headlines this morning. First up, a very, very sad story to bring you.
00:11 We found out yesterday that 10 year old Mason Williamson sadly passed away on Wednesday night.
00:18 He spent several years in hospital awaiting vital heart transplant surgery. He suffered
00:27 from hyperplastic left heart syndrome. He was very, very poorly obviously and his parents announced
00:36 on social media yesterday that he passed away late on Wednesday night. So our thoughts are with
00:42 his family and his friends at this really, really sad time after that long, long battle.
00:48 In other news, what have we got for you today? Right, so we had a story that came in about three
00:57 classic mini motor cars that had been stolen from a warehouse in Norton in Doncaster. The thieves
01:03 also got away with £120,000 worth of tyres and vehicles, quite a major haul. Obviously that's
01:16 quite a niche market so somebody somewhere must know what's happening. There were around 20 sets
01:22 of tyres stolen I think. Like I say, the whole lot had a value of about £120,000 so hopefully
01:31 somebody will come forward and let the police know what's happened there. And then lastly,
01:36 late last night we had a breaking story. We had some information from eyewitnesses regarding a
01:42 road traffic collision. Apparently it involved three vehicles in Cantley. We were told that
01:50 it involved a police chase ending in a three car collision. We have approached the emergency
01:55 services about this. There is a story online from what we gathered last night's picture and video.
02:01 We're just waiting for the official line about actually what occurred. So you can read that
02:06 today as well. So for those and anything else that's happening in Doncaster today, just visit
02:11 the website www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and have a great weekend. I shall speak to you in the new
02:19 year.
