00:00Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Cordillera, in the 2024 manipulation of 1,440 anti-drug

00:51Our conviction rate is at 55%.

00:54Looking at it, it's good considering the data that we've had in the previous years wherein the conviction rate was much lower.

01:04The manipulation of 1.6 billion illegal drugs, including 673.71 grams of shabu, 0.76 ml of liquid shabu, 84 pieces of ecstasy,

01:1998.72 ml of ketamine, 6 million pieces of marijuana plants and seedlings, 2.1 million grams of marijuana bricks, dried leaves and stalks,

01:293 grams of methacid and 9,135.15 ml of marijuana oil.

01:36There is a demand for shabu in the region as a top drug of choice. However, our sources are not inside the region.

01:43They're normally brought in from other centers of gravity.

01:48Accordingly, in 1,178 barangays in Cordillera, 798 are declared drug-cleared, 382 are drug-free and 18 are drug-affected.

02:00The program will continue in the drug-free workplace.

02:05In 2024, the Department of Tourism, DILG, NCIP and NAPOLCOM will declare a drug-free workplace.

02:15The Provincial Government of Apayao signed the Memorandum of Agreement with Mountain Province,

02:20Santa Marcela Luna Apayao and Barangay Ambiong La Trinidad Benguet in Pideya to establish a drug-free workplace.

02:28Again, I would encourage all our fellow government workers to definitely exercise being drug-free or practice being drug-free.

02:38There's no better option than that.

03:11The Police Regional Office of Cordillera Administrative Region is conducting an inspection of Baguio City.

03:19This is the mandate of the Internal Affairs Service of Cordillera to ensure the continuity and discipline of the police.

03:28One of the inspectors is wearing a police uniform and accessories issued firearms.

03:38Actually, for us, it is actually a mandate of the law of the Republic of 8551 to inspect and assess the performance of units and personnel here in the PNP.

03:54Despite the high level of discipline, the inspection is still ongoing and it can be seen that the police officers are still working hard.

04:05The quotient is very minimal. Generally, it is very successful.

04:12If we can see, nationwide, the Cordillera Administrative Region Police Office is tagged as the most disciplined cops in the whole nation, in the Philippines.

04:30That's why we are very lucky, the community here in Baguio and other parts of Cordillera is very lucky.

04:4070 police officers were present at the inspection.

04:44It is clear that the role of Baguio City Director of Police, Col. Ruel Tagal, is the responsibility of the police.

04:51This is the reason why it is important for the police to be involved.

04:57Ultimately, this proactive initiative reaffirms that the Cordillera with Baguio City as the show window is indeed the home of the most disciplined cops.

05:09Thus, let us approach this exercise with open minds and a spirit of cooperation.

05:14By working together, we can not only meet but exceed the expected standards, ensuring that Baguio City Police Office continues to uphold integrity and trust bestowed upon us by the public.
