00:13Following the cancellation of the government of all POGO licenses in the country since December 15,

00:19the government is hastening the process of revoking POGO sites in favor of the government.

00:26That is the answer of Malacanang in front of the push of some senators of the Anti-POGO Act

00:31that will give way for the government to take over the assets and properties,

00:36including the house where the POGOs were operated, facilities, materials such as gaming equipment, and gaming paraphernalia.

00:44According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bresamin,

00:47there is a law on the forfeiture of properties through any crime,

00:52so there is no need to lower the directive of the President on this.

00:56However, the forfeiture process of these only takes a long time.

01:00Actually, there is already a law, there are already laws that can be forfeited,

01:04but the forfeiture process is very slow.

01:07It comes usually at the end of the proceedings.

01:12Even now, the government is doing everything to speed up the process.

01:16But they will still be careful about this

01:19to be fair to the owners of the POGO sites.

01:23I read that in the newspapers, I know that it is the Senate that will look into it.

01:28But we are already doing everything to hasten the process

01:32except that we have to give the process to whoever appears to be the owner of those assets.

01:39We cannot just grab it.

01:41But we have already in place 16 laws and regulations about forfeiture.

01:49The question is where will the owners of the POGO sites plan to use the forfeiture?

02:00Yesterday, the largest POGO hub in Island Cove in Kawitkawite was closed

02:04under the leadership of DILG, PAGCOR, PAOC, and PNP.

02:08It should be noted that the directive of President Marcos Jr.

02:11in his 3rd State of the Nation Address on the banning of POGO sites in the country

02:16The government also assured that they will stop the POGO guerrilla operations

02:19or activities of these sites despite its total ban in the Philippines.
