00:00Although a show of force through numbers sends a strong message, as far as the Department of Justice or DOJ is concerned,

00:07the recently held peace rally will not affect the ongoing investigation on the threats made by the Vice President against the first couple and the House Speaker.

00:22The Department of Justice assured the public their investigation of Vice President Sara Duterte's threats

00:28against President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez

00:35will not be affected by yesterday's INCP's rally and huge turnout of supporters.

00:41According to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, due process in the rule of law will not be pressured by yesterday's activity.

00:49We just have to look at the law as something that equalizes everything between all of us.

00:56That's why we cannot give special favors to people because of standing.

01:03The DOJ clarified it respects yesterday's peaceful and mass gathering by INC members.

01:09However, the DOJ will still continue with the investigation and perform its mandated work.

01:15Even the Task Force on Extrajudicial Killings is still in search and review of possible cases to be filed against the previous administration's war on illegal drugs.

01:26Moreover, the DOJ said it will still proceed with the investigation despite the pronouncements of VP Sara.

01:33She is seriously considering to run for the 2028 polls.

01:37It's not an issue. The issue is whether or not a criminal act was committed.

01:43We have to look at it from the merits standpoint, the merits of the case, case or cases.

01:51As of now, the DOJ still awaits the full report of the National Bureau of Investigation's probe on VP Sara.

01:58The National Prosecution Service said it will still look into the report if it needs further case buildup before filing the complaint.
