00:06in the capital of Sinulog in Cebu City.

00:09Even though it's a street party, it's also prohibited for the sake of everyone's safety.

00:13That's what Jesse Atienza of PTV Cebu reported.

00:21The opening of this bar-restaurant on Bango Avenue in Cebu City,

00:26one of the entertainment hubs of Lungsol,

00:29coincided with the fact that they are near the route of the Solan Food Procession and Sinulog Grand Parade

00:34on the 18th and 19th of January.

00:38The timing is really perfect because of the Sinulog.

00:42This is a better and bigger bar compared to the two branches we have.

00:48So, we will be more than glad to welcome from tourists to the locals and foreign guests.

00:55Not long ago, an executive order was issued by the local government

01:00prohibiting the entertainment and the sale of alcohol during the opening of the Solan Food Procession and Sinulog Grand Parade.

01:08The bar-restaurant was immediately notified that they will follow it.

01:12That's also our support to the city government of Cebu City,

01:17just to make sure that the crowd is safe.

01:20Because I'm sure that's the only intention of the city government.

01:23The LGU of Cebu City is also prohibiting street parties,

01:28one of the destinations, especially for young people.

01:32Okay, just know that I want that the roads are free from any obstruction.

01:43And so, that is why I am banning street parties.

01:48The conduct of street parties is strictly prohibited in any area within Cebu City from January 18 to January 19, 2025.

01:57This is to ensure that public thoroughfares are free from any disruption and obstruction

02:02which may affect immediate emergency response or rescue operations and rendition of government services.

02:09And to ensure the maintenance of public security and safety for all.

02:14Cultural and religious activities for the celebration of Sinulog will be held one after another.

02:20That's why the Executive Order is expected to help to make the celebration of Fiesta Senor more peaceful and chaotic.
