The UK rail watchdog has revealed how many complaints train passengers made last year. The data revealed that punctuality and reliability were the main sources of frustration for passengers.

00:21There were reportedly 158,721 complaints between April 1st and September 30th last year.
00:29According to the regulator, this was a 9% drop from the previous six months.
00:34Whilst Avanti West Coast saw 103 complaints per 100,000 journeys, the rate of complaints
00:41decreased by 21% year-on-year.
00:44Lumo saw an improvement compared to the same period the previous year as complaints decreased
00:50by 50%.
00:51LNER recorded 94 complaints per 100,000 journeys and it saw a 21% increase in complaints between
01:00April and September compared to the same period the previous year.
01:04But it's reported that the increase in complaints for LNER was due to disruption out of the
01:08company's control including overhead wires coming down and loss of signalling.
