00:00The start of printing balotas for the Hatol ng Bayan 2025 is already scheduled for Monday.

00:19The balot phase that will be used to print balotas for the 2025 National and Local Elections

00:24is already scheduled for Monday.

00:31According to COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia, the Commission of the Election Management

00:36System has already finished where the list of candidates for the 2025 elections is included.

00:43You can see on the COMELEC website all the ballot phases that will be used

00:47in each town and city across the country.

00:49Meanwhile, the start of printing 73 million balotas for the 2025 elections is already scheduled for Monday.

00:58The balotas will be printed first for the Overseas Voting and Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections.

01:05COMELEC's target is to print balotas after April 14.

01:09For now, COMELEC can remove names until the printing of balotas has started.

01:16But they can't add names to the EMS because it will need to change the source code.

01:22Meanwhile, COMELEC is saddened by the spread of candidates even though the campaign period

01:28for the 2025 elections has not yet started.

01:30According to Chairman Garcia, there is no law that prohibits premature campaigning.

01:34In addition, the Supreme Court has a decision where only the candidates who obtained their

01:40COC or Certificate of Candidacy at the start of the campaign period will be considered as candidates.

01:44For now, COMELEC has no power to remove the said materials.

01:49What they are doing now is that there is no election law that will govern them.

01:54There is no prohibition, no violation, except if they violate city or municipal or provincial ordinances.

02:02COMELEC has a reminder to the candidates who are early in the campaign.

02:06We should not underestimate the intelligence of our countrymen.

02:13The Filipinos are very intelligent.

02:15The 10-day campaign is already long.

02:17The 45-day campaign, in my opinion, is already long even for the local candidates.

02:22Therefore, we should be patient and be patient.

02:26Under COMELEC Resolution 10999, the election period will start on January 12

02:35and it will last until June 11.

02:37The campaign period for running Senators and Partylist Representatives will start on February 11

02:45and it will last until May 10.

02:47As for the running candidates for local positions, their campaign period will start on March 28.

02:55The campaign period for running candidates for national and local positions will be suspended on Wednesday and Friday, April 17 and 18.

03:05Tomorrow, COMELEC will look into the generation of serialized balot face templates
