00:00What's, what's going on everyone, Mike Kadlik and Taylor Kyles here for CLM's Media and
00:18we're laughing because we don't know what to say.
00:20The Patriots are coming off a 40 to 7 week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers from right
00:26behind us at Gillette Stadium.
00:28We are inside because we didn't feel like putting in much effort to get outside because
00:31the Patriots didn't put in much effort today either.
00:33Again, losing 40 to seven, they fall to three and 13 on the season and they come into the
00:38bi-week or out of the bi-week Taylor, four games left.
00:42And our main thing about, you know, Gerard Mayo's job and this team and where this team's
00:46going and where they're going to be heading into 2025 was you can't get embarrassed.
00:51And two out of the last three weeks so far, they've gotten embarrassed.
00:54Justin Herbert throws three touchdowns on them.
00:56Chad McConkie scores two on them who the Patriots obviously, as you I'm surely well,
01:01well know now traded back in the draft with the pick that the Chargers ended up taking
01:05McConkie and they take Jalen Polk.
01:07McConkie had more yards today than Jalen Polk has had all season.
01:11Ian Arapaport before the game said that Gerard Mayo is basically safe barring a calamity.
01:16Now what we're going to discuss on this show is, is this, was this a calamity today?
01:20Did this warrant the Crafts making a serious decision, at least having a serious conversation
01:25about Gerard Mayo's job, uh, puts his foot in his mouth again, says Ramon Drew Stephenson
01:29is not going to start the game.
01:30He ends up starting the game at running back.
01:32Now granted, he only gets two carries compared to Antonio Gibson's 12.
01:35So we got a lot to get to.
01:36We'll talk about job security.
01:37We'll talk about Drake May coming back from a, uh, or what looked to be a concussion.
01:41And then he returned to the contest.
01:43Christian Gonzalez leaves with a concussion as well.
01:45We'll talk about the offense.
01:46We'll talk about the defense.
01:47We'll come to you here live from Gillette stadium for all of them.
01:51First and foremost, Taylor, general thoughts on this game.
01:54Everything really great.
01:55Even, uh, when, before we just came on here, I read the box for a wrong thought, Hey, they
01:58didn't have any penalties.
01:59We're like, Oh, there's at least one good thing that came out of this game, but it doesn't
02:03even look like there is again as they fall 42 seven.
02:05So quick thoughts on the game before we really dive into it.
02:07It's bizarre.
02:08I feel like I almost didn't watch it.
02:10It was just so much bad.
02:11And obviously the weirdness with Drake may get in the concussion and then him leaving,
02:14coming back, God's Oh, gets the concussion.
02:16So mentally you're kind of just like, wow, okay.
02:19Going to be one of those games where obviously Drake may came back and that was great.
02:22But just so two potential big injuries to your blue chip guys.
02:26Also not a hundred percent sure that Drake may, like we were joking about this after
02:30the game, not a hundred percent sure that he wasn't concussed because there were some
02:33weird misses, a couple of throws he made that I thought were just a little off.
02:37Like there was one, a hunter Henry, he threw between two defenders, wasn't really close
02:40to anybody.
02:42So I don't want to get too deep into that because Drake still had some positive plays,
02:45but just an embarrassing day.
02:47That's all there is to say.
02:48Like, I don't think this is going to be a very long show.
02:49Cause there's not a whole lot to cover, to be very honest, right?
02:53The run defense was fine.
02:54I guess past defense was, this is one of the worst performances all year.
02:58Jonathan Jones.
02:59This is the second time this season.
03:00Mostly he's been pretty good, but he looks slow today and you don't really see that a
03:05lot from John Jones.
03:06Obviously he's lost a step, but against Ladd McConkie, a guy who ran a four, three, nine,
03:10you really saw how age is starting to kind of wear away at Jonathan Jones's game and
03:14McConkie just went off and then offensively just couldn't get anything going.
03:19Typically this has been an offense that can move the ball up and down the field pretty
03:22well, but then the red zone issues are really where they kind of get in their own way and
03:25obviously penalties, but it just didn't feel like anything was working today.
03:28It didn't feel like it was necessarily the penalties and they weren't moving the ball.
03:32Even when Drake got in there, obviously like Jacoby said, one throw that he has in the
03:36entire game during his series, wild miss that wasn't even close.
03:40So just-
03:41That started the many boosts.
03:42Right.
03:43Exactly.
03:44In the stadium.
03:45He had the fire, the fire Mayo comments, which he said he heard Devon gotcha, heard he was
03:49not happy about.
03:50We're going to get to that later because he had some interesting comments after the game.
03:53And honestly, you're starting to see it in the fan base.
03:56We've said throughout the season, like the crowd just haven't really been as big as they
04:00typically are today.
04:01It was bad.
04:02There was not a lot of people here when we pulled in, there weren't a lot of people in
04:05the stands during the games.
04:06As it got worse, even more seats looked like they opened up for me, literally the most
04:10entertaining part of the game.
04:12Other than DeMario Douglas's touchdown.
04:13That was absolutely sick.
04:14Was watching the Chargers fan below me, trolling Patriots fans.
04:17He was just like flaunting his Jersey and just telling him like, bye.
04:20It was honestly kind of hilarious.
04:22I hate to see Pat's fans having to take that L, but I mean, for the team, it was deserved
04:26because this was a horrible, horrible performance.
04:29And like we said, a stretch where you desperately needed to show signs of improvement.
04:33Now the goodwill you got from that Bills game, which should have been able to kind of carry
04:36you through the season.
04:37If you were just competitive against the Chargers, that's out the window.
04:40And we are once again, talking about whether or not Gerard Mayo deserves to keep his job.
04:43I know the reports have said, you know, Justina Anderson, the entire game was tweeting about
04:48how Gerard Mayo still should be safe and that there are going to be big upgrades made around
04:51him pointing out how he's still in his first season, bringing up Dan Campbell.
04:55This is not the same as Dan Campbell.
04:57I tried to give grace.
04:58I was like, all right, let's see what they do after the buy.
05:00You know, it's a long season.
05:02They already had maybe get some rest.
05:03You come back rejuvenated and firing on all cylinders and tighten up things you need to
05:07as a coaching staff that hasn't happened.
05:09So with Dan, with Dan Campbell, it was very different.
05:12They go 0 and 10.
05:13Then after their biweek, they did show those signs of improvement and they've shown gradual
05:17improvement since then.
05:18And at the very least, you could say Dan Campbell's team is tough.
05:22They want to play physical.
05:23They want to punch in the mouth, XYZ, all the things that Gerard Mayo has said he wants
05:26this team to be.
05:27But we have seen almost none of it throughout the season.
05:30Run game has been okay in spurts.
05:31The defense has been fine in spurts, but not nearly enough consistency for anybody to sit
05:37here and honestly say that Gerard Mayo deserves a chance because of Dan Campbell.
05:42You don't know what Mayo has to hang his hat on anymore.
05:45And I'm sorry.
05:46I don't know what, how you could possibly justify bringing him back next season outside
05:50of the fact that Kraft handpicked him.
05:52And obviously it's his first season, but I don't care.
05:54This clearly looks like a pretty big mistake.
05:56I'll get Elliot Wolf a bit of a pass because he really wasn't a tough spot.
06:00Obviously taking poke over lad.
06:01Yeah, that's a mistake, but they couldn't do a minute.
06:04Yeah.
06:05No, I can't.
06:06What am I going to say now?
06:07I can't say anything.
06:08We've got to get Dennis on here.
06:09We'll give him the, uh, the old jail and pull treatment.
06:11It was a pick to fill a role, which again, we acknowledge that during the draft, we still
06:15said that if they didn't take offensive players in the next couple of rounds, everybody would
06:19have exploded, but still my cocky selling offensive players.
06:22So I'm fully willing to take the L I'm learning.
06:24No, seriously.
06:25I learned every single week.
06:26I'm trying to get better and I don't want to be like the Patriots.
06:29I actually want to get better.
06:30So just, I don't even know where I was going on my rant, but just Mayo does not deserve
06:35to keep his job because he hasn't shown any reason to hold onto it.
06:38I would say with Wolf, I give him a bit of a pass.
06:40Let's see if he can actually capitalize, spend the money that they have capitalized
06:44and having four top 100 picks, do those things and maybe prove that you belong here.
06:48Cause he's at least made some positive moves.
06:49Draft Drake may the Matthew Jude on trade, where you get a third round pick for a guy
06:53who's barely doing anything this season.
06:54Like there are things you could point to for Wolf and say, okay, you know, you had your
06:58L's, but you also had some dubs.
06:59I don't know what dubs you can point to for Gerard Mayo outside of their opening win,
07:04obviously against the bangles where they got some momentum.
07:06And then a couple other wins were looking back on it.
07:08It's not very convincing because those were tight games.
07:11It wasn't like they were consistently good.
07:13They just managed to pull it out a couple of times.
07:15So let's yeah, I'll cut off Taylor Kyle's rant quickly just to, you know, we'll kind
07:20of get into what the Patriots are, where they're at heading into this final week and about
07:25Gerard Mayo's job security.
07:26Because the entire season, for the most part, we've sat on here on Patriots postgame on
07:30Patriots daily.
07:31And for a majority of the season, basically until right after the bye week, we have been
07:34firmly behind the idea of giving Gerard Mayo the chance at a multi-year rebuild.
07:39He's a young head coach.
07:40He's never really done it before, which, you know, it could be an issue in its own, right?
07:44But Robert Kraft handpicked him, had the confidence in him.
07:47He's been through it here.
07:48And we knew, you know, and basically every report that comes out about it is, you know,
07:52the lack of personnel, the lack of roster help that frankly, Bill Belichick and company
07:56set him up with has given him or should give him the opportunity to have this multi-year
08:01rebuild.
08:02And three and 13 Patriots at best can match what they did last season.
08:06And so Ian Rappaport reports this morning, him and Tom Palacero on NFL network that barring
08:12some type of calamity over the final two games of the campaign, the expectation is that Kraft
08:17gives Mayo another season to prove him right.
08:19And I think that that's the interesting part is to say it's to prove Robert Kraft, right?
08:24And a bad look because a real bad look, because it doesn't even, right.
08:27It doesn't even sound like, you know, they're going to give him the chance because they
08:30think he deserves it.
08:32Because, oh, we made this decision.
08:34We want to give him another chance because I don't want to look bad and think, okay,
08:38I had to fire this guy after one season.
08:40It's almost like you need to be able to admit you're wrong when you're wrong.
08:44Like I was going to say, like Taylor Kyle's with Ladin McConkey over Jalen Polk.
08:47Obviously I'm just, I was, I was talking about Mayo too.
08:50I love the storyline of a guy who came up, was a career Patriot, was, you know, baby
08:54Belichick as they always called them, then led the defense.
08:57Like there were signs where maybe this is another D'Amico Ryan's.
09:00Obviously that was the, that was the first comparison.
09:01A lot of people were making, and of course, Ryan's had a much better Texans roster in
09:05his first season as a coach, but you could also see that that team had an identity on
09:09both sides of the ball.
09:10Patriots don't have any of that.
09:11And I really was rooting for Mayo.
09:13I wanted to see him succeed.
09:15I thought that Kraft is someone who had seen him grow up over, over a decade, did have
09:19a good sense because he's hired bill Parcells.
09:21He's hired Pete Carroll.
09:23He hired bill Belichick.
09:24So it felt like, you know, Kraft kind of had the juice and knew what was there to find
09:28those good leaders.
09:29I think Gerard Mayo outside of obviously the whole head coaching thing, I think on a person
09:33to person level, I think he has been pretty good, but that doesn't matter if you can't
09:37put results out on the football field.
09:38So that's another place I will fully take my L. I really wanted to see Gerard Mayo thrive
09:42here.
09:43I thought there were reasons why he could, but the fact they didn't do the head coaching
09:46search, which I didn't think was a huge deal, again, kind of trusting Kraft's judgment.
09:50Now it looks terrible.
09:51Now that completely blew up in your face.
09:53So like people like me who were kind of saying, Hey, give Gerard a chance.
09:56I got to take my L2 and I need to recognize, but I'm not in leadership.
10:00I can't make any decisions.
10:02And I really hope that whatever happens by the end of the season, the crafts can honestly
10:06look themselves in the face and say, do we need to make a change?
10:08Because I don't know that anybody other than Justina Anderson is giving reasons why Gerard
10:12Mayo should keep his job.
10:13And that's kind of what I want to get to here is what are the reasons to keep him right?
10:19And the one is the roster, I guess, but somebody else can take on a bad roster and try and
10:24do a better job there.
10:25The other one that we've mentioned is the locker room.
10:27And another one we've kind of asked, what does he do well?
10:31And you even asked Devon Godshaw this after the game, and he wasn't even really able to
10:35give an answer.
10:36Here's what Godshaw said to Taylor when asked about what Gerard Mayo does well.
10:39What is it that Gerard Mayo does behind the scenes and kind of helps him for this team?
10:43I mean, everybody play a part in it.
10:44It's just not Gerard Mayo.
10:45You know, I don't know, you know, that's way above my pay grade.
10:49Everybody plays a part in it.
10:50Players, coaches, front office, everybody, you know, so we just got to get better as
10:54a whole.
10:56You know, and the players got to take accountability because we're the ones who didn't put the
10:59film on tape.
11:00You know what I'm saying?
11:01Mayo can't play no more.
11:02His year's been done.
11:03But, you know, I mean, the fired Mayo chance is ridiculous.
11:06We just got to get better as a team, as a whole organization.
11:09We just got to get better.
11:10We got to do more.
11:11We got to do more.
11:12And we're going to see better results.
11:13You know what I'm saying?
11:14I believe in this organization.
11:15I believe in the players I go to work with.
11:16We just, we just, we just had probably the best team in the NFL playing right now on
11:21the ropes last week.
11:22You know, and everybody's talking about fired Mayo chance and the Bills probably considered
11:25probably the best team in football right now.
11:27I mean, they're definitely the hottest team in football.
11:29So I mean, we had them 14 to zero, should have won the game, you know, did a player
11:33to play, play, play better and we beat the Bills.
11:36But I don't believe in all that, all that other ridiculous stuff.
11:39I mean, the guys first year, I mean, it's just ridiculous.
11:44So that's Devon Gottschall on the, the situation with the coaching.
11:47Now he does give, you know, quite a bellichicken answer there where he basically pivots from
11:51your question.
11:53And turns it into something else.
11:54But you know, it's, he's, so he doesn't answer what Mayo does well, but he's also not wrong
11:57in that.
11:58It's not just Gerard Mayo.
11:59I mean, the front office last year into this year, haven't put them in a great spot with
12:04talent.
12:05I know obviously LA Wolf Brins and Drake Mayo, like you mentioned, it makes a couple other
12:07good moves with Judon and things like that, but a couple of the mistakes there, they don't
12:10have the talent on this team to compete with not, not just the likes of the Buffalo Bills
12:14last week, but the likes of the LA Chargers.
12:16And so that's kind of where we are with that.
12:18I know Keon white, who spoke out, we mentioned on the podcast yesterday, I spoke out with
12:22Karen Garigi and this is another, just, just the nonsense around what Gerard Mayo says,
12:28what Gerard Mayo doesn't say, what he tells the media, what he doesn't.
12:31And you know, we talked about her already with, he said pregame that Antonio Gibson
12:34was going to be the starting running back.
12:36And then they try to remember a Stevenson out there.
12:38Go ahead.
12:39And just to that point, I know players don't care about those things.
12:41A lot of the time they'll bring up like when there's criticism of Mayo, they'll say like,
12:44Oh, you know, the comments, we don't really care about that.
12:46We just care about what happens in the locker room.
12:48They may not care.
12:49The craft should care, right?
12:50Because it makes your organization look bad.
12:52We nationally, people know that Gerard Mayo is known for walking back comments.
12:56And if that was the only thing he was doing wrong and they were still competitive, that's
12:59one thing.
13:01But the crafts have to be honest with themselves and say, you are making, or even Belichick,
13:04he struggled, you know, obviously the talent acquisition, like he wasn't great in his last
13:07season either, but you still saw the fight and he wasn't going out there and making the
13:10team look bad at press conferences.
13:12And that is what Gerard Mayo has done.
13:14So it may not make the players upset, right?
13:16If I'm the crafts, I'm saying, dude, and we know that obviously he started, it looks
13:21sloppy.
13:22It just seems like he doesn't have a very good grasp on what's going on with his own
13:25team at times, or the disconnect with Alex van Pelt.
13:28We're like, this is one decision where it's like, okay, did van Pelt start him?
13:31And you didn't know he was going to start him.
13:32You've had other comments where they kind of don't seem like they're on the same page.
13:35It's just all of these things where I, you can't, I can't, I don't, I very rarely listen
13:39to what Gerard says and think that something good is happening behind the scenes.
13:42Again, I've tried to say, you know what, he's young, maybe just iron some things out, but
13:47he has said himself that the measure of success was going to be how this team played after
13:50the buy-in down the stretch.
13:51And the result has been horrendous.
13:52So I am very curious how Gerard Mayo feels, and if he thinks he deserves another chance,
13:56if he was giving himself true serum, because I just, I don't see what you hang your hat
14:01on.
14:02And again, I'm going to go on another rant again.
14:03Let's talk about the locker room and kind of the guys being behind them, because that's
14:06something we've continued to mention on this show is that so long as he has the locker
14:10room and the guys in the locker room, that it's hard to fire a coach after one year.
14:14And now Drake may still has confidence.
14:16He mentioned it today.
14:17He mentioned it last week and that's a quarterback.
14:19That's quarterback speak.
14:20He looks like he's been to the Bill Belichick media school already.
14:22He knows exactly what to say when he gets behind that microphone.
14:25But Jonathan Jones today, you know, mentioned, what did he mention again?
14:28You just said it.
14:29And now I forget.
14:30Um, Jonathan Jones, basically that they weren't playing hard down the stretch or something
14:33like that.
14:34Let's read this.
14:35Okay.
14:36This is Daniel Cawley.
14:37Jonathan Jones said something similar, but Daniel Cawley speaking with Andrew Callahan
14:39after the game said, I feel like towards the end of the first quarter, first quarter, it's
14:43been a long year.
14:44I feel like towards the end of the fourth quarter, some of the guys just gave up and
14:48some guys played to the whistle to speak for myself.
14:51I've seen a lot of stuff out there.
14:53It feels like a lot of guys just started giving up when things get hard.
14:56He also said, I feel like guys got a bite into what we're doing here.
14:59Like we know we're going to hit adversary.
15:00That's what builds character.
15:01I feel like when we hit adversary adversity, that's when we've got to come together and
15:05try to finish things the right way and play together.
15:07So again, it sounds like some guys are playing hard.
15:09Some guys aren't.
15:11Jonathan Jones had some pointed comments later on as well.
15:13But to that point, Taylor, where the locker room is out, I actually want to mention Keon
15:17White, who I know we actually have.
15:18Well, I'll get to you.
15:19I want to get to his, his, his audio here first, where he spoke with Karen Gregan earlier
15:24this week and mentioned that he wants to sort of take a look at where his future is going
15:27to be in the next or after heading into the next couple of seasons said he wants to be
15:32able to produce more and things like that and that the NFL is a production based business
15:36and he didn't know where his career was headed right now.
15:39And so then Gerard Mayo said pregame 295, the sports hub, that he and Keon White had
15:44a long conversation and that his comments were basically taken out of context.
15:49Keon White was then asked after the game, what did you mean by your comments?
15:52And White said, I meant exactly what I said.
15:54Here's more of what Keon White had to say postgame about his future with the past and
15:57where the Patriots are headed under Gerard Mayo.
15:59Changes are coming.
16:01I mean, I hope so.
16:05If changes aren't made, then what are we doing?
16:08Again, the NFL is a production based business.
16:10So if we're not doing anything to change our production, which is loss, what are we doing?
16:18What changes are you hoping for?
16:19Guys, let's take two more here.
16:20Again, it's not for me to decide.
16:23First and foremost, I'm changing me, changing how I play the game.
16:28Not a bad answer from Keon as far as taking accountability for himself and saying that,
16:31you know, I need to change myself before anything else in the organization changes.
16:34But sounds like he's ready for change, whether that's coaching, whether that's players, whether
16:39that's DeMarcus Covington, personnel, something around the building has to change.
16:42I think that's the main point here, Taylor, is that I'm not, you know, from myself, not
16:46exactly sure what has to change.
16:48I mean, right now it feels like head coach because it starts from the top down, but you
16:51can't just run this back next year.
16:53And we've talked about this being a multi-year rebuild in a 2025 and beyond team.
16:58That's sort of been my, my cliches and what I keep coming back to is that give these guys
17:04a chance because the roster has been so bad, et cetera.
17:06But when it's this ugly and you don't see improvement in not only year to year, but
17:11as the year goes on, something's got to give.
17:13And at this point, maybe that goes, yeah, I mean, what Daniel equality's comments about
17:16the players kind of given up towards the end, Jonathan Jones's comment was that they start
17:20off slow and it seems like they don't have a lot of fight.
17:22There we go.
17:23That's what those are coaching comments.
17:24Like that's, you expect last year as bad as the Patriots were, you could see the buy-in
17:28they still had under Belichick.
17:30Those guys were still fighting their butts off.
17:33thing, but that feels like an indictment on Gerard Mayo that you feel like one, you're
17:37not getting off the very hot starts.
17:39I will also say the Patriots had this issue for the past couple of seasons, especially
17:43on offense in terms of slow starts.
17:44So not necessarily just a male problem, but the effort late in games.
17:48And we've talked about it a couple of weeks ago.
17:50I thought that was a massive, massive issue against the Cardinals where on the Cardinals
17:53last two drives where they scored, it felt like the defense really wasn't putting up
17:57that much of a fight.
17:58You got guys like Devon Dodge who he said, Hey, you're not pulling me out.
18:03I understand it's a blowout.
18:04Heineken's in there.
18:05I still want to play.
18:06I still want to compete.
18:07Keon White also mentioned something I thought was pretty interesting.
18:08He said that football is a violent game.
18:10He wants to play it violently, but it seemed like he didn't think that the team or the
18:13defense as a unit was playing that way consistently.
18:16And obviously we see it on the field.
18:18Also think it's kind of interesting that we hear players defend Mayo.
18:22Maybe it's because they haven't often been asked directly about DeMarcus Covington.
18:25I rarely heard anybody really go to bat for him, but it does sound like, you know, we've
18:29heard so many people do what Mario Douglas said that they needed to make changes.
18:32Keon White said they needed to make changes.
18:35So I mean, defensively, I feel like it's kind of leaning more towards DeMarcus Covington,
18:40but I think this team also just realizes that this isn't good enough and it just, it's just
18:44very striking to me because it seems like it falls into that bucket that we talked about
18:47where once the locker room starts saying certain things and that's what we figured was going
18:51to happen.
18:52If they get blown out in multiple times, things start to unravel.
18:55Players start to speak out and yes, like obviously there needs to be changed.
18:58It's not like they're saying anything that we don't know, but still those kinds of comments
19:02feel like you start not losing the locker room, but it just feels like you start losing
19:05the buy-in from the players, not just necessarily because the head coach, but just because they're
19:09frustrated.
19:10It's I'm trying to figure out how to transition this into our next thing and where we're going.
19:15I'm thinking about ads.
19:16I'm thinking about what just happened and it's just like, it's funny.
19:20We're on a post game show and this is supposed to be like instant analysis of the game and
19:23I have notes on the offense.
19:24I have notes on the defense, but I feel like we could just go on about the job security
19:28and the future of this team, mainly because the game doesn't really matter when it's 40
19:31to seven and what happens on the field and you know, we joke that we barely remember
19:35the actual contents of this game because of how ugly it was from the top down overall
19:40at a 30,000 foot view.
19:41So you just, you continue to wonder where this team is at and where things will go from
19:44here.
19:45I guess we can.
19:46I know we have actually some Drake May sound.
19:48Let's go to Drake May.
19:49He spoke and I mentioned him having that sort of quarterback speak around, you know, around
19:55the security of Gerard Mayo and Alex Van Pelt.
19:57Let's go to Drake May.
19:58Let's know what he had to say about Drake May.
20:01I can't do this.
20:02I'm losing my mind.
20:03What he had to say about Gerard Mayo and Alex Van Pelt.
20:05I got my bell rung on the first drive and I don't know if any of y'all ever played,
20:10you know, but you got hit, but sometimes you get your bell rung and you got to shake back.
20:14So I guess the spotter called down again and had to pass some teps, but I feel good, still
20:18feel good.
20:19I feel like I was good to go.
20:20And then just the game, I think, yeah, as things were rolling away, I think kind of
20:24felt like, you know, a little bit of Arizona, we really couldn't get in the rhythm offensively
20:27and obviously the pitch was unfortunate, just, you know, had a blitz off the edge that just
20:33happened to be a good call on their part.
20:35And then just felt like, you know, all day we were, nothing they were doing.
20:38We just, you know, got to play cleaner football and we got to help our defense out when they're
20:42moving the ball.
20:43We'll stay on the field.
20:44I think the first half of the session was, you know, pretty, pretty one-sided.
20:47They're not quitting.
20:48They're still, you know, coaching, coaching as hard since week one, they're still studying
20:54film as hard, still meeting, you know, still meeting as hard.
20:56So I think the biggest thing was this, you don't see those guys quitting.
20:58And I think, you know, the score may not tell today, but I feel like these guys, you know,
21:02these guys are still wanting to win.
21:03We're still leaving it all out there every week.
21:05And I think that was kind of, you know, my, my message to the team is give it all you
21:10got.
21:11It's our last two games and this one today.
21:13So we got one more chance next week and just, just leave it all out there.
21:15The toss to Demario Douglas, the fumble there.
21:18Yeah, just, um, every practice play for a long time, you know, I feel like we were,
21:21we were executing well and, um, they have to bring, um, you know, the nickel off the
21:25edge.
21:26And, um, I think, you know, he's kind of, you know, right by Pop, that's going to be
21:29unfortunate.
21:30Just, you know, good call on their part.
21:31Um, and then I got to give to him a better, better ball to catch.
21:34Um, that's, you know, really, you know, falls back on me.
21:36So I think, um, kind of Pop may have readjusted his thing a little bit, you know, his route
21:41of, um, or his path, um, just because of the blitz are off the edge.
21:45But, uh, yeah, I just got to give him a chance to, you know, can't turn the ball over.
21:51It was kind of helpful to get that comment about why the play went wrong.
21:54Because looking at it live, it's like, have they practiced this before?
21:57And apparently it's something that's been in the plan for quite some time, but yeah,
22:00there was that slot blitz.
22:01So he had him taking responsibility for both ends of it.
22:04Definitely could have been a better pitch.
22:05Like when it came out of his hand, I was like, where is this supposed to be going?
22:08I don't probably expect it pop to be somewhere else.
22:10And it's just such a bang, bang play because at first I was like, AVP, why are you calling
22:15something like that?
22:16Because it seems like those guys aren't prepared.
22:17So that's one area where I guess we can give AVP a little bit of slack.
22:20And I didn't hate the call itself because we asked for, you know, more, we were talking
22:24about before the game, more window dressing, more different ways to call the same play,
22:28handing it to different people.
22:29As long as guys are in the same spot, you get the same run action to get the same, uh,
22:33you know, line projection, et cetera.
22:34So I liked the idea of it, but the execution, it looked like they had never practiced it
22:39before may end up, ended up saying after the game that they had, you know, practice it
22:42a lot, but he also mentioned the time of possession Patriots lose the time of possession battle
22:46to LA today, 40 minutes and 34 seconds to 19 minutes and 26 seconds.
22:51So just not good there at all.
22:53Uh, he does mention, we go back to that.
22:55What is draw Mayo do?
22:57And he backs them.
22:58And all she says was he, we had these guys keep, he has us continuing to fight.
23:02They come to work every day, but you got to come to work every day if you're going
23:05to do your job.
23:06And the defense is saying they're not, um, they're not continuing to fight and they're
23:09kind of giving up their place.
23:10So it's just, it's all, I can't say that because then obviously like he's throwing guys under
23:14the bus, but yeah, there's a disconnect.
23:16It's like, well, the messaging is very different and you may think they're coming up and putting
23:19all this work in and maybe that's happening in practice, but it's not happening on the
23:22game field at the end of the day.
23:24That is what matters.
23:25Exactly.
23:26Let's try and get into this game a little bit.
23:27Taylor.
23:28We see Drake may get concussed on there.
23:29I keep saying concussed, but he came back and he gets hit in the head.
23:32He leaves with a head injury, goes into the blue medical tent, goes to the locker room
23:35and then ends up returning.
23:36He finishes, uh, the game here, 11 of 20, 12 of 22 for 117 yards, a touchdown, no interceptions
23:45for the first time in seven weeks.
23:47He does have a turnover on the fumbled pitch to DeMario Douglas sacked four times, um,
23:52a quarterback rating of 34 and a passer rating of 84.8, a lot of pressure in his face.
23:58The offense as a whole goes two of 10 on third down goes, Oh, of three on fourth, fourth
24:02down.
24:03He also takes two tough sacks on fourth down.
24:05One of them, it looked like he had Hunter Henry open the other one.
24:07I think the offensive line just wasn't able to hold up.
24:09So a poor performance from the O line.
24:11Drake may look so, so has the nice play to DeMario Douglas down the middle, gives him
24:15a chance.
24:16It was a, it was a good throw.
24:17I thought it was a better adjustment from pop Douglas where he put it in the right spot,
24:21but Douglas had to kind of get around that safety and go, he took a big hit as he let
24:25that go.
24:26And I think he knew, Hey, it's a free play.
24:27Let me just try to give pop a chance.
24:29It reminded me of the Cayshon booty catch against the, it was the Jets win where it
24:34was under thrown and he came back and slid and caught it.
24:36It reminded me a lot of that play.
24:37So amazing, amazing play by pop, very heads up play from Drake.
24:41Great play by the two of them.
24:42What did you make of May's performance overall?
24:44Kind of up and down, but again, a turnover that wasn't necessarily his fault.
24:47Yeah.
24:48I just thought it was, this is what I'm gonna have to go back and watch because again, like
24:50I said, I thought he might've not been a hundred percent right in the head because there were
24:54some weird throws and decisions that I didn't totally understand.
24:57There was also the throw to Cayshon booty, that deep target where booty ran a double
25:01move.
25:02I asked him after the game, cause it looked like he stopped running again.
25:06And I asked him what exactly happened on that play.
25:08And he said he didn't want to go into detail, but that he and Drake were on the same page,
25:12which to me sounds like he didn't think he was going to get targeted and didn't run a
25:15full route, which is mind blowing because we've heard of the, for the love of the game
25:20routes and all of that.
25:21Also, Drake is not the kind of guy who's always going to throw to who he's supposed to based
25:25on the player, whatever.
25:26You should always be running routes, hard Brady would have probably thrown him on the
25:30bench at that point.
25:31Cause we know he said, do not run a half-assed route.
25:33I could end up going to you based on whatever I see, right?
25:36You are never, Oh, you are never necessarily out of the progression.
25:39So that's just another frustrating element is like, Oh, another reason you need to upgrade
25:43this receiving core, especially it's cause it just seems like every week there's some
25:46glaring mistake from the wide receivers and it's whether it's effort, whether it's not
25:51knowing what they're supposed to be doing.
25:52And I do honestly think that Dan Pelt is a very detail oriented coach.
25:55Cause you see Hunter Henry, you see Austin Hooper, like those guys are doing the right
25:59thing consistently.
26:00Obviously you get the hold on Henry and things like that, but you don't see the same kind
26:04of struggles as with the wide receiver room, which kind of tells me that maybe they should
26:08make some upgrades at the wide receiver coach position as well.
26:11You know, as much as I was, I was intrigued by Tyler Hughes and I type one Underwood,
26:15really cool story coming back, actually worked with wide receivers at pits.
26:18So you're hoping maybe they could be a good group, but those guys have struggled.
26:21So yeah.
26:22But overall, going back to Drake May, it was second week in a row that I thought he was
26:25sporadic, but I'll have to go to the tape and release it for sure.
26:28Yeah.
26:29And it's, it's hard to blame him when everything else around him is so sporadic as well.
26:31And when you're in such a hole early as well, and like everything gets really predictable,
26:35right?
26:36Not a fan, like you said, of a case on booty slowing down for the love of the game route
26:39where, okay.
26:40On one hand, if you get lazy, that's just selfish because that's also opening up something
26:45for somebody else underneath where, Oh, I'm not going to get the ball.
26:47So I'm just going to half-ass my route.
26:48Like that's BS.
26:49And I think he's done a better job at being a team player this year than he was Latin
26:53now granted.
26:54He wasn't given a ton of chances last year, but early on making blocks, things of that
26:57nature, running, running his routes hard, even if it was coming his way, but we've seen
27:01a lot lately, him slowing down and kind of not staying in a group there.
27:05So hopefully.
27:06And also the comments were Mayo and Bam Pelt both acknowledge that they had to have a second
27:09conversation with him.
27:11You shouldn't have to have one of those conversations, much less two, if you already had the guy.
27:15Yeah.
27:16Oh man.
27:17Just another disappointing area.
27:18Yeah.
27:19Keyshawn booty.
27:20He's made some plays and you got to give him his credit for that, but it's also just like
27:23the inconsistencies in the ways that he's been inconsistent are very, very frustrating.
27:27And the reason why I don't have to make tomorrow, Douglas, I think we'll have a role in this
27:30passing game next year, Kendrick Bourne might as well, but I think you can upgrade it every
27:34single receiver spot.
27:35Yep.
27:36I'm with you.
27:37All right.
27:38We're going to get back to it.

29:08Let's find out how many rushing yards he had.
29:09Oh, yeah.
29:10That one big run.
29:11So I think he got it.
29:12I believe.
29:13Oh, he had five yards in the first half.
29:14Sorry.
29:15I got to pick up my game book on the ground here.
29:16Take this nice and slow before we talk about our other partners, Gibson.
29:21Oh, 63 yards rushing.
29:23You're right.
29:24He did.
29:25He did hit that.
29:26But we also had loud McConkey to have less than 70.
29:28That was that was real bad.
29:30That was tough.
29:31I thought he was going to get to get to get.
29:32I thought he was going to get that against zone.
29:33Yeah.
29:34That was the oldest I've ever seen.
29:35Jonathan Jones.
29:36Yeah.
29:37Very tough.
29:38Ninety four yards total for loud McConkey.
29:39So we miss on that prospects, but we'll be back at it next week with the Buffalo Bills

31:31You get twenty dollars off that first purchase.
31:34Terms apply.
31:35All right.
31:36Let's wrap up the offense here a little bit.
31:37Taylor, we talked about Drake May, but the rest of the offense, the offensive line, Cole
31:41Strange comes in, plays center for the first time in his NFL career this week.
31:45And I thought he played pretty well.
31:47Only a couple real hiccups.
31:49And then Demontra Jacobs on the right side doesn't play a great game, ends up getting
31:53I don't know if I want to call it benched for Caden Wallace, but I think it was just
31:56like, yeah, they end up giving Caden Wallace some added reps.
31:59They're the rookie out of Penn State who returned this week for the first time since
32:03October with an ankle injury.
32:04So what did you see from the offensive line in front of Drake May as far as, you know,
32:08pass protection goes, but then also the run blocking in front of our moderator, Stevenson
32:11and Antonio Gibson.
32:12Caden Wallace was kind of weird to me.
32:13I'm guessing they just didn't think he was healthy enough to play an entire wire to wire
32:16game.
32:17But like when he was out there, he played a few series.
32:20Honestly, his kick slide is better than anybody else that they have a tackle.
32:23I tweeted it was a breath of fresh air.
32:25I'm watching like, oh, my gosh, he actually looks pretty good.
32:29He's been working his butt off.
32:32He's a player who's been kind of thrown into a position where he's in over his head.
32:36But, you know, he's not the fleet is to foot, we'll say, you know, so that was kind of I
32:40see from Caden Wallace.
32:41But yeah, another not great game from Trey Jacobs.
32:44I know there was one run stop where he got completely whiffed on a block against Joey
32:47Bosa.
32:48Cool, strange.
32:49I think there was one play where he did come off a blitzer.
32:50It led to a quick pressure where Drake had to scramble out and throw away.
32:53I think there was another play where all the sack or Bosa and Cleo Mac met at the quarterback.
32:59Seemed like Cole might have snapped it early.
33:00But like we've been saying for weeks, whenever Cole was going to get in the lineup, we knew
33:04there was going to be some hiccups.
33:05He wasn't going to have a perfect game.
33:06So, yeah, overall, I think he was fine.
33:08Mike and one who had a quiet game.
33:10I don't think anything happened with the Darien low either.
33:11So Lane Robinson also is pretty quiet.
33:14So I'll have to go back and see where exactly what the pressures were caused by.
33:17You know, Derwin James obviously has two sacks, both on fourth down.
33:21One of them in particular, I think if Drake had a tick more time, he could have hit Hunter
33:25Henry for a conversion.
33:26But that was also when the game was pretty much out of reach.
33:29Tough to evaluate the offensive line.
33:30One thing I will say is the run blocking was damn putrid.
33:33That was awful for the entire game.
33:35They couldn't get anything going on the ground.
33:36That's kind of the second week in a row they've struggled with the ground game.
33:39Reminder, Stevenson had some success last week at times.
33:42Antonio Gibson really didn't get anything.
33:43He was getting hit in the backfield consistently.
33:46So this is the second week in a row that it feels like the run game has taken a step back
33:49after I've been giving them credit for a bit of a resurgence over the past.
33:52You know, it'd been like over a couple of months.
33:54So that was disappointing.
33:55That's protection.
33:56I'll have to go back and see exactly what the hiccups were there.
33:58But yeah, Cole Strange is really the headliner.
34:00I thought he did a good job.
34:01And Cade Malls also looked good in the brief time we saw him.
34:04Not a great day offensively, obviously, when you only score seven points and you go scoreless
34:08in the second half.
34:09So I think that'll do it for the offense.
34:10Again, we did a lot about the Gerard Mayo jobs here, and it will wrap up the show with
34:15a little bit more final thoughts there.
34:16But as far as the offense goes, Drake Bay looks OK.
34:19Run game, not great.
34:20The wide receivers, again, not great.
34:21Jalen Polk plays three snaps.
34:23Looks like he hurt his shoulder.
34:24He was walking around with ice on his shoulder after, again, really only taking three snaps
34:28with the also weird that they Mayo didn't like call for a deep or pass interference.
34:33Yeah, the defender was pulling his shoulder pad as it was not good tracking from Jalen
34:38Polk.
34:39I don't want to completely get him out of the woods, but we're not another weird kind
34:42of thing from Gerard Mayo where he was just standing there.
34:44And it's like you can see this man's shoulders being pulled on your sideline.
34:47I thought that was kind of funky.
34:49All right, let's transition here to the defensive side of the ball, because this is where I
34:54get really frustrated with this team because you bring in a defensive head coach to replace
35:00Bill Belichick, somebody who was supposed to be.
35:02I don't want to call him.
35:03He was never lauded as a defensive guru or genius or anything kind of like he was not
35:07the Sean McVay of the defensive side of the ball or anything like that.
35:09I don't want to put that on his shoulders, but he's someone who was supposed to come
35:12in here with experience.
35:13And again, what on the defensive side of the football linebackers coach essentially lauded
35:18as a co-defensive coordinator alongside Steve alongside Steve Belichick and the defense
35:22gets so much worse this season.
35:24This was the sixth game this year that they let up 30 or more points.
35:27The second time they let up 40 or more points.
35:30And today they had no pressure at all on Justin Herbert.
35:33Zero sacks.
35:34Lad McConkey goes for eight catchers, 94 yards and two touchdowns, who he's their go to guy.
35:38We talked about that for the last five weeks since we've started talking about Lad McConkey
35:42in the comparison with Jalen Polk, where as long as you take away Lad McConkey, the rest
35:47of wide receiver is not very good.
35:49We saw some tough drops from Clinton Johnson.
35:51Josh Palmer is no one to write home about the tight end is Will Disley, who, you know,
35:55take Will Disley or leave him.
35:56He did.
35:57He was good today because you didn't cover the guys you're supposed to.
36:01And it's like it's maddening where Lad McConkey, the go to guy, the eight catches, I keep talking
36:06about it, where in a Bill Belichick led defense, he would have he would have had one or two
36:10catches max.
36:11I'm telling you, because that's what they would do.
36:12They would take away your best guy and they would have you beat them with everybody else.
36:16The exact opposite happens today.
36:18And it's been happening all season long against the Patriots.
36:21Now, Christian Gonzalez leaves with the concussion, which that's that's tough as well.
36:24That's going to kind of hinder your ability to cover a guy like McConkey.
36:27He leaves.
36:28I think it was the second quarter and didn't return for the rest of the game.
36:31But yeah, not a great not a great performance defensively letting Justin Herbert throw for
36:35three touchdowns on the run.
36:37Defense wasn't great either.
36:38So your thoughts on the defense overall?
36:39I do wonder.
36:40I don't think they would have because typically actually, no, this is one week where I think
36:43they probably stuck.
36:44I'm pretty sure Gonzo was on the boundary and it sounded like that was what was going
36:47to happen all week.
36:48I do wonder if they would have made an adjustment and put him in the slot to cover McConkey
36:52if he'd been available.
36:53I don't think they would have.
36:54But I wonder.
36:55And then just the bottom line is John Jones.
36:57Like I think going into the game, I was like, yeah, I think he could do well against a lad.
37:00McConkey is a guy who's seen a lot of really shifty and talented route runners, but really
37:04just the physical mismatch more than anything was tough.
37:07There were some times early on where one of the most frustrating things I will say is
37:11the Patriots said they knew the Chargers were going to have man beaters for their man coverage.
37:16But the Patriots had no answers on third down.
37:18The Chargers kept getting chunk player conversion after chunk player conversion on those third
37:23downs because the Patriots make no secret about it.
37:26They play a lot of man coverage because that's where they're best.
37:29But really just was not good enough on third downs is why the Chargers had so much success.
37:34Patriots tried to mix it up a little bit, play a little bit more quarters sometimes
37:37so they weren't quite as predictable.
37:38But still, I didn't really love the effort there, but it was a rough performance obviously
37:42from Jonathan Jones.
37:43He's really the one that you are most concerned about going forward.
37:46I would say.
37:47I think we knew that he had lost a step, but you're saying, okay, I kind of figured he's
37:50an automatic re-sign for next season.
37:51Now I'm saying, I don't really know.
37:53Should they, should they not?
37:54Should they move positions?
37:55I'm really not sure.
37:56And then of course, Kyle Duggar as well.
37:59Now he was responsible.
38:01One lad McConkey put him in a bit of a blender on, I think last first touchdown, but Duggar
38:06was in the area for both of the, of the early touchdowns from the Chargers just still doesn't
38:11look like he's right.
38:12Still not moving well, but also just feels like there's been some mental mistakes too.
38:16Just it's really disappointing when two veterans are the guys that you're most concerned about.
38:20Like I thought Isaiah Bolden and Alex Austin actually played pretty good games for the
38:23most part.
38:24But yeah, that was really disappointing from the past coverage specifically.
38:27It was a joke all game, no pass rush.
38:29It's not really something you expect from the Patriots, honestly.
38:31You're hoping that Keon White gets a pressure there.
38:33He said that he was double teamed a lot, even though he did have a couple of successful
38:36reps, one quick pressure off the edge.
38:39That was pretty nice.
38:40Patriots weren't getting a whole lot of heat on Justin Herbert.
38:43You're seeing him just really easily go through his progressions.
38:45Herbert's a guy where even under pressure, he can make some really good decisions and
38:48really good throws.
38:49But when you give him all the time in the world, you're going to get a result similar
38:52to what you got today.
38:53So the pass rush was awful.
38:54Run defense.
38:55Devon gotcha.
38:56I said that he thought they stopped the run.
38:57Well, I thought they were fine.
38:59I thought that the Chargers were getting yards when they ran the ball, when they needed them,
39:02they just weren't getting a ton of explosive.
39:03That's the issue.
39:04The numbers of the numbers, but when you need a fourth or a third and two or what have you
39:07and you can get it, that's still not good run defense.
39:09When you can't stop the run when you know they're going to run.
39:11Exactly.
39:12Yeah.
39:13So disappointing effort there, I would say.
39:14And I just kept coming back to it in this game.
39:17For all of this team's issues up top, you know, things like that.
39:20I really think if they make a point to fix the offensive line and the defensive line,
39:26it fixes a lot of their problems because they're getting run on and they're not getting pass
39:29rush.
39:30How do you fix that?
39:31Build a wall up front with a bunch of bad MFers on the offensive side of the ball.
39:34Get a line where you can consistently run the ball, where they don't make a ton of mental
39:38mistakes, where obviously they can hold up and protect your third overall pick at quarterback.
39:42So I feel like if this team can really build up the trenches, even more so than the receiver
39:46problems, even more so than linebacker safety, what have you, I think those are the big areas
39:50where this team can improve pretty quickly.
39:52But, you know, there's a lot of luxury picks.
39:54I mean, obviously wide receiver.
39:55We did luxury picks on a mailbag the other day, but I mean, you look at we talk about
39:59the comparison to the Detroit Lions.
40:01They've improved and their offensive line is stout.
40:03Defensive line.
40:04Multiple first round picks.
40:05Yeah.
40:06Multiple first round picks like you said.
40:08It's those type of things where, you know, you got to get it done up front.
40:10You got to get it done on the defensive line.
40:13Obviously we'll see if they continue to do it.
40:15But yeah, they lose 47 today, Taylor, and things are not going well here in Foxborough.
40:20Any kind of wrap up thoughts here?
40:21I do want to ask.
40:23We've talked about what Gerard Mayo has to do to lose his job the last four weeks.
40:28Well, he's basically done everything he's had to do to lose his job.
40:31He'll lose three games to our blowouts.
40:32You play the bills close, which honestly, at this point, I don't even care about that
40:35one anymore.
40:36So what does Gerard Mayo have to do next week to keep his job at this point?
40:40Like if it is actually, if he is truly on the hot seat and they would actually consider
40:44firing him.
40:45Yeah.
40:46I'm still not convinced.
40:47I think they should, but I'm still not convinced that they're there.
40:49So you're on.
40:50So you're on.
40:51They should fire him, but you still don't think they should seriously consider it.
40:54Maybe not a hundred percent.
40:55And if you don't fire him, you need to make some serious acquisitions on the coaching
40:59staff.
41:00Maybe a senior defensive assistant if DeMarcus Covington isn't fired, which I still think
41:03he should be.
41:05I think in Mayo's ear to make his job easier, give him advice and just help him be a better
41:09head coach.
41:10Cause from what we've seen, obviously plenty of problems there.
41:12Um, and then what was the other one?
41:14I'm sorry.
41:15Just, uh, what he, what he has to do to keep his job.
41:17If he is, I'll have to blow the doors off of the bills backups.
41:21That is such, it's such like a stupid little caveat in it.
41:24You know, I, I, how much confidence is that inspired?
41:27Not much, but that's what you have to do.
41:28You're playing backups, make them look like backups have this same score, hopefully shut
41:33out for the bills offense next week.
41:35That's the only thing I think you could do to inspire any kind of confidence, which even
41:39still, I don't see how you end the season with people having any faith that Gerard may
41:43deserves.
41:44It's tough.
41:45The only thing you have right now is Drake may and Christian Gonzalez.
41:47Really?
41:48That's the only thing I look out with this team.
41:49Even guys like Keon white looks like he might want to be out of here.
41:52Christian bar more.
41:53It's tough.
41:54I would trade Keon white for a top a hundred pigs, right?
41:55The other one, the other top players, Christian bomb or the highest paid Patriots since Tom
41:59Brady.
42:00You don't know if you can rely on him and not nothing against him, but that's just the
42:04reality of the situation.
42:05So it's one guy on, on one side of the ball and Drake may Christian Gonzalez and the other,
42:09as far as I'm concerned with everybody else, figure it out.
42:12We'll see what happens.
42:13Everyone else is replaceable at this point with the Patriots as they lose this one, 40
42:17to seven falling to three and 13 on the year.
42:20As far as where I am on this Gerard Mayo topic, before we close this out, I'm, I'm on the
42:26side of, I think you really have to consider it because this was uninspiring.
42:30This is stuff where the team does not look like they're playing for him, for his job
42:35security.
42:36Keon white was asked to, I think it was by Mark Daniels.
42:38Do you feel like you guys need to play better for your coach?
42:40And he basically said, no, we have to play better for ourselves.
42:42And I mean, that's a good point.
42:44It doesn't, it doesn't necessarily have to be for Gerard Mayo, but play for pride, play
42:48for pride.
42:49Yeah.
42:50Play for yourself.
42:51But it also doesn't feel like they're necessarily as behind this guy.
42:54Even if it, as it felt like right before the bye week where, you know, it felt like there
42:57was still some buy-in, they felt like they were in the right direction.
43:00Things just continue to go awry here.
43:01So I don't know if they will.
43:02I'm kind of starting to think that with the fire Mayo chance today, with the lack of fans
43:07here with the blowouts, with Gerard continuing, you know, to step on his words and say the
43:11wrong things at the wrong time, twice, two more today, again, we talked about it, but
43:15the reminder of Stevenson's comment and the Keon white comment, it's like, he's not on
43:18the same page with people.
43:19He's not on the same page with his offensive coordinator, his players.
43:22It feels like the bottom continues to fall out of this thing.
43:24So at this point, I don't even think I would be surprised if they end up making a move.
43:28There's the Mike.
43:29Oh yeah.
43:30I don't think you'd be surprised.
43:31I was a bit more surprised, honestly, if they keep him and don't again, make those big changes.
43:35Yeah, that's fair.
43:36So we'll see what happens.
43:37Mike variable is still out there.
43:38I'm sure there's going to be more variable, more Josh McDaniels, rumors, Ben Johnson's
43:41out there could want to play or coach with Drake may.
43:44So we'll see what happens.
43:45We'll cover all of it this week here on Patriots press batches, the LMS media again, Patriots
43:49lose this one 40 to seven in Foxborough myself and Taylor will be back on the Patriots daily
43:55podcast this week, breaking this thing down.
43:58I don't know about tomorrow, but probably early Monday, try and get an episode out there
44:01to break this thing down a little bit further.
44:03Once we get some 24 hour, 48 hour treatment here and look at what happened in this game.
44:08So we'll be back.
44:09Patriots will be back next week as well.
44:10Take it on the Buffalo Bills here in Foxborough for their week 18 matchup.
44:14So thank you guys for watching.
44:15We appreciate it.
44:16Rate, review, subscribe to the channel, comment what you guys think on this video about what
44:20happens with the Patriots move forward, draw Mayo's future and all that good stuff.

44:27Take care of each other and we will see you all soon.
44:29Peace out, everyone.
