09:42With a short week on this Saturday hosting the Texans and a short turnaround to play on Christmas Day in Pittsburgh
09:51Buffalo was in prime position to earn that number one overall seed in the AFC

09:59the airwaves of the early line at least on Monday is that I had a
10:03KC to be the one seed in the AFC ticket that I bet like a month and a half ago at a minus
10:09150 number when it seemed to me the path was pretty clear for KC after their undefeated start
10:16Even if they lost a few games to hold on to the one seed
10:18so I cashed out of that bet for full value on what I had originally placed the wager and then placed my money on
10:26Buffalo to be the one seed with a plus 160 price because I was feeling good
10:32Now with Mahomes more than likely playing on Saturday
10:36And now that KC is a three and a half point home favorite against the Texans Donnie
10:41There's a good chance
10:42The Chiefs don't drop two of their final three but win at least two of their final three
10:47And if that's the case, even though Buffalo has the head-to-head tiebreak, it won't matter

10:54it's the right move you made though because you know handicappers are supposed to be proactive with the

25:44On Friday night, but you will still get big-time ratings at that point because it is Notre Dame and it is standalone
25:49I do think the ratings would be great on Saturday
25:52But you're right and also the NFL isn't giving you clunkers like the Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers
25:57Yeah, they're giving you really good football games as it worked out on Saturday
26:00So from an NFL fan and a college football fan, I think it's like maybe the perfect day so much fun
26:06So much meaning should be good games across the board and a lot of intrigue and also the newness of the college football playoff
26:12Like you're not watching a ball game
26:14But you're watching the playoff game where a team has home field advantage and how exciting that crowd is gonna be and how it plays
26:19Out so it's gonna be an awesome Saturday nonetheless, but that Friday night appetizer will be interesting to watch leading into Saturday's games

27:44ASC they square off tonight on a short week Thursday to begin week 16 inside SoFi Stadium in
27:52Los Angeles two and a half points spread in favor of the home team
27:56That would be the Bolts total stands at 41 and a hook DRS expected to be a close game
28:02But perhaps not a high scoring game tonight in LA
28:06Yeah, you're hoping for more points because it's usually more fun to watch it play up
28:10Let's understand the situation that we're entering in with the Broncos and the Chargers
28:13You're looking at two teams vying for when he may be the final playoff spot in the AFC
28:18So it's a de facto playoff game. Also, these two teams are divisional opponents
28:22They know each other well
28:23and then you throw in it's a short work week on top of it and we know that turns out and also the NFL the
28:29Later, you're getting to the season
28:31The harder it has been for these teams to get prepared and ready for a Thursday football game
28:35Not because they don't understand the concept of all we only have three days instead of seven days to prepare
28:40But these players now have played 14 games
28:42They're banged up their bruise coming in and they don't need to get the full seven games to actually make it and also
28:48an interesting twist in this one which we brought up yesterday to was the fact of the matter is this was supposed to be a
28:53Sunday game that got moved up this Thursday, but it wasn't the NFL saying well we do it whatever we want
28:59They actually had to call the Denver Broncos before they switch it to make sure they were okay with this and I like Sean Payton's
29:05Response. Hey, we'll play anywhere at any time
29:07But to be honest, I'm really surprised that they agreed to have this because one of the worst
29:12Disadvantages you can have is a road game. We have to get on a plane and play a division rival that week
29:17So I'm surprised it didn't decline it, but you know how one hand washes the other it's good for the NFL
29:22The NFL will probably look out for them the next two or three years in a spot that might not be so advantageous for them
29:27They'll be able to switch up that schedule
29:28So I get that part of it, but you are at a disadvantage if you're the Broncos tonight
29:32But there are high stakes to go through which again 42 and a half
29:35Yes, they don't fan duel 41 and a half today is the total and I agree with that because from a prop perspective
29:40Which we'll get into not a lot to love a tight end. Each team has one wide receiver
29:45Good luck figure out who's the top running back on either one of these teams tonight
29:49And then you have two quarterbacks who aren't really necessarily strong like Justin Herbert's throwing one game this year over 300 yards
29:55That's what I'm sort of angling to say, which is the way I'm playing this other than looking at the under
30:01The Broncos are the healthier side the Chargers continue to deal with injuries even with Justin Herbert who has multiple
30:08On a short week in Donnie when you look at that total

30:15It checks out both because it is a short week very late in the season and because right now there are three
30:23Defenses that are all tied at the top in terms of scoring output to the opposition

30:32Allowing seventeen point six points per game on average as your best scoring defensive units around the National Football League

32:22Are we going for this or if this was week number three against the Carolina Panthers?

32:26we got to keep the football here and see what we got because when you start to play where if you make a mistake in
32:31Your coaching decisions you might be out of the playoffs and your season is done. Sometimes you tense up just a little bit
32:37Are we going to see a double reverse pass here in a spot where you just pick up a first down around midfield?
32:42Which you might see in a normal regular season game. Maybe you don't see that tonight
32:46Maybe they take the three-yard handoff up the middle keep on staying ahead of the stick
32:49Yeah, those are my worries here for while we won't see scoring but also keep in mind you look at the time here

32:56You could be playing this game in denver and three feet of snow and 25 mile an hour winds and say oh that could really affect

33:03It's the perfect track and I could have any issues with weather conditions and that always helps on things like field goals

33:56It is four years in the nfl has been the only good thing for this chargers team that has been tasked with doing

34:06They went under in seven of their first eight now over in four of their last six

34:14Three of their last four as well, and they still are one of the best scoring defenses
34:20But in three of the last five games they have allowed at least 27 points to the bangles 27 to the ravens
34:2730 in the last week getting blown out by the buccaneers at home
34:33a 40 piece denver has also had some of its own defensive blows the last few weeks
34:39As well, but a defense that can also add to the scores
34:42We have seen nick benito score a couple of defensive touchdowns the last few weeks for denver
34:49As well and based on where they are in a trend perspective
34:53Nobody is a better favorite this year than the broncos a perfect seven and oh
34:58Ats the team right behind them though from a cover percentage standpoint
35:03That would be the chargers who are seven and two
35:06Against the number but donnie the only win in cover for the chargers as a favorite this year
35:13Against these denver broncos way back in week
35:17Number six the broncos were a dog in their first four games of this season
35:22They were three and one against the number two outright victories. The broncos have been booked as a favorite
35:29Four consecutive games so they are not used to being the underdog anymore
35:33It's part of their season outlook being so much better than we expected for denver this year
35:38Year number two under sean payton with a rookie quarterback in bo nix
35:43Yeah, sometimes we take a look to it recency bias and rightfully
35:46So you can't grade some of these games in mid september and early october, right?
35:50You're saying we are going to grade them late the reason why we pick up here and look at the denver broncos last four games
35:55Look at the offense and yes, there have been some defensive touchdowns, but still the total point structure 38 against the falcons 29 against the raiders
36:0241 against the browns 31 against the colts. That's pretty impressive
36:06And also when we talk about these two teams top five in scoring
36:09Did you see last week you wouldn't have known that from the chargers perspective as they took on tampa bay and got assaulted out there
36:15To 500 plus yards. So if you're looking at recency bias, you might still think there's an opportunity for points and there is
36:22There's quality play callers on both sides
36:24Quarterbacks that have shown their metal this year that they can put up big statistics when needed to but justin herbert over the past couple
36:29Weeks, what if it's wrong for ben buck 80 buck 90 to 10 buck 80 and those ranges here?
36:34So I just don't know if we get that high flying atmosphere that you need and as I brought up before
36:39We'll get into the props, but there's not a lot of guys like I look at this game
36:42We go donnie. Give me one player from each side. Well, sudden you think he's gonna have an honest effort. No doubt about it
36:46Then on the other side it's going to be lad mcconkie as long as he's healthy enough to go tonight
36:50But outside of that it is a true crap shoot across the board and we will start looking at the touchdown props
36:55Ben where most games like oh, yeah, this guy's gonna score minus 150 minus 160 minus 180
37:00Every single player is plus money in this game to score a touchdown which lets you know
37:05There's a lot of guys who you might have to get lucky on tonight
37:08But if you do are gonna pay a pretty good price back
37:11First game the chargers won 23 to 16. They covered as a short favorite
37:16It did go over a pregame number around 37
37:20Would be under tonight's total of 41 and a hook again
37:25Both of these teams firmly in afc wild card spots
37:29The broncos the sixth seed right now at nine and five a game in front
37:34Of the bolts the chargers still have a two-game lead over everybody else

39:35You're gonna have a mixed match of a couple guys getting in there
39:38So taking those running back props, you know, which we'll get to probably not as appetizing. But again herbert 228 and a half
39:45Sounds decent. But when you look at the past couple games, it's like yeah, that's why it's 228 any other year
39:49It's like just herbert 228. They're gonna air it out with all the wideouts they have and the play calling there
39:54That's not the case anymore. They're more. You know, what let's play good defense
39:57Let's make the plays when we need to and let's not extend ourselves
40:00Same thing with bo nix 223 and a half. You said it last week like hey, look at all the points
40:03They put up the production wasn't really needed from bo nix's side
40:07But if I were looking to overs in this game, which a lot of positions i'm not looking forward to that
40:12It's probably the quarterback position
40:13It's not a ton of yards 225 on either side basically putting in the ballpark for both of these quarterbacks covering and as I just told
40:20You I don't think we're going to get running backs 17 carries for a buck 25
40:25Stealing the show here if you're going to move the football tonight, it's probably going to be through the air
40:29So if there were overs to take you're probably looking at it from the quarterback position

45:21That's likely in over his head and a head coach that doesn't really manage games
45:25Well on a routine basis as part of the reason why some of his struggles have happened and I like raheem morris

45:33But he bears some of the blame here as the head coach as to why this team is struggling offensively
