00:07More medicines were added that were exempted from the Value Added Tax or VAT.

00:11In the released memorandum of the Bureau of Internal Revenue or BIR,

00:1516 medicines were added to the VAT exemption.

00:19Some of these are medicines for cancer, diabetes, and mental illness.

00:24First, President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. assured that the price of medicines in the market will be affordable.

00:33The Department of Health assured that PhilHealth will continue to provide benefits and services.

00:39According to the agency, all inpatient, outpatient, and special benefit packages will continue to be available.

00:46According to Health Secretary Ted Herbosa,

00:49who is also the chair of the PhilHealth Board,

00:52PhilHealth will continue to provide benefits to its members,

00:57whether they have or do not have a subsidy, from the General Appropriations Act.

01:10The National Immunization Program of the private sector is now being implemented by the Department of Health.

01:16According to the DOH-11, the expansion of access to vaccines will continue to increase and decrease.

01:23In terms of the immunization rate, Davao Region currently has 49% of the immunization rate in 2024.

01:33It decreased to 62% of the immunization rate in 2023.
