00:00The House Quad Committee will recommend a case that does not fall below the 10 personalities

00:07listed by former and current officials related to the issue of illegal drugs

00:13and the extrajudicial killings of the previous administration.

00:19Some congressmen have called on the Philippines to become a member of the ICC.

00:30The House Quad Committee recommends a case that does not fall below the 10 personalities

00:35listed by the ICC.

00:38According to the ICC's lead chair Robert Ace Barbers,

00:41the case will be released next week.

00:44The former and current officials of the government

00:49are among those who can file criminal and administrative cases.

00:52This is in line with their investigation into the issue of illegal drugs

00:57and the extrajudicial killings of the previous administration.

01:01Aside from this, they will also hold new hearings.

01:05On Wednesday, the ICC will continue their hearing.

01:10One thing is for sure, this committee hearings of the Quad,

01:14totaling a number of 12 hearings,

01:18has produced more or less around 15 new legislations.

01:23Remedial legislations.

01:25So that's a big thing.

01:27Because a lot of people are saying,

01:30you're just doing hearings, you're not finishing anything.

01:33You don't have any reports.

01:35So we will show, we will report to the people

01:39that we are doing something.

01:41We have new laws.

01:43Following the recent issues in the Quad,

01:46some congressmen have called for the return of membership

01:50or for the Philippines to become a member of the International Criminal Court.

01:55According to Batanga's 2nd District Representative Jervin Loistro,

01:58this is a big thing as a help to our own courts

02:03and will strengthen the legal framework of the country.

02:07For other lawmakers...

02:09We really have to look at the grounds also.

02:12I mean, what is the reason?

02:16The pros and cons.

02:17Because if you look at the US,

02:19they're not a member of the ICC, right?

02:22And yet, they're there.

02:24They're a democratic country.

02:26So let's look at it.

02:28I don't see any reason why not.

02:33Because if you don't have a problem with your courts and your local,

02:37it's okay.

02:38But again, we are a founding member.

02:40So for me personally,

02:42this is just my opinion.

02:44This is not the thought of the whole House of Representatives.
