LEXIE is a masc presenting person who describes her look as ‘authentic, creative and sustainable.’ The creative director and entertainer said: “I'm definitely more of a baggy tomboy aesthetic. That's really what attracts me to the masculine aesthetic - it's cosy and comfortable and I think it's swaggy. It's cool.” Lexie said she was a tomboy growing up but dressed more ‘girly’ for a while until high school where she discovered her sexuality, which inspired her style. Lexie said: “I feel like being masc gives me more of a purpose to be that representation for people who don't have it or didn't have it growing up.” In this transformation, Lexie is switching up her look from masc to femme with an Insta baddie-inspired makeover with the help of makeup artist Brittany. She’ll be getting a glam makeup look, changing her hair with a wig and having her tattoos covered. What will she think when she sees herself in the mirror? Lexie will then be heading out to meet her friends. She explained: “So today would be the first time that I'm going to be fully femme out in public since, like, middle school.” BUT her friends have no idea this makeover is happening. Lexie said: “My masc bros are about to see me as a girl.” She added: “I think they're going to hit on me for sure.”

00:00Feel like being masked gives me more of a purpose to like be that representation for people who don't have it or didn't have it
00:06Growing up. It's cozy and comfortable and I think it's swaggy. It's cool. I am going from full mask to full femme
00:17Wait
00:20My mask bros are about to see me as a girl
00:30Hey, I'm Brittany the makeup artist. Nice to meet you. Oh, I'm scared you're about to turn me into a girl
00:38Hey, what's up? My name is Lexi and I would describe myself as a mask
00:43Presenting person if I could describe my look in a few words
00:48It would probably be
00:50authentic
00:51creative and
00:54Sustainable. I'm definitely more of a baggy tomboy
00:57Aesthetic that's really what attracts me to the masculine aesthetic. It's just that it's cozy and comfortable and I think it's swaggy
01:04It's cool. I'm a creative director and an entertainer. I'm a dancer
01:09Model actress you name it. So Lexi is actually a super masculine
01:15beautiful
01:16Tomboy, but we're actually gonna turn her into an Instagram baddie
01:20I'd say the key features of a femme and so baddie look would be just someone with big lips big lashes
01:27Long blonde hair. How do you think she'll look after the makeovers completely? I think she's gonna look perfect
01:32I mean, she looks beautiful now, but I'm excited to turn her into someone completely different just for fun
01:38All right, Lex. Are you ready to go?
01:40Not really
01:42It's gonna be so fun
01:50Growing up I was always a tomboy. I remember like going into like middle school and feeling like I needed to fit in
01:55I started like wearing skinny jeans and started dressing more girlier. It wasn't until high school
02:02That I started discovering my sexuality which then inspired a lot of my style and my fashion
02:08I feel like being masked and being mass presenting gives me more of a purpose to like be that
02:13Representation for people who don't have it or didn't have it growing up
02:17How are you feeling about the transformation? I'm a little bit nervous
02:22I'm definitely I think like
02:24Leading up to today. I was excited. But now that it's like the day and my makeups getting done. I'm absolutely terrified
02:31Why are you terrified? I'm the type where like if I put anything girly on or like
02:37Sometimes even like too much makeup. Like I feel ugly really. Yes. What if you actually really like it?
02:43Girl you're gonna have to do wonders over here
02:46So what type of products are you using on my face today? So I use a lot of NARS
02:52Products some Natasha Denona. I use a lot of Patrick Todd and a little bit of Dior
02:59When I think of a femme or an insta baddie, I think
03:05Full face of makeup. I think hair done
03:08So, who are you gonna be revealing this look to you later?
03:11I have like my whole friend group is like all masculine presenting people. How do you think they're gonna react when they see you?
03:19Girl
03:20They're literally gonna be dying on the floor laughing
03:22So I'm using this Natasha Denona bronze palette because of her outfit later
03:26I want to keep her look pretty bronze so it won't clash with what she's wearing. This is my holy grail product
03:32It is Patrick Todd major dimension number three
03:35And it has cool tones warm tones and it basically helps me create any look I want
03:42Holy grail
03:44I know I'm going full femme, but there's a lot of different ways to do that
03:48For example, like I have tattoos like are we covering my tattoos up? I'm a little nervous about that
03:56So today would be the first time that I'm gonna be fully feminine
04:01So today would be the first time that i'm gonna be fully femme out in public
04:07Since like middle school. Do you get judged for the way you look or dress when I first?
04:13Started dressing more masculine. I was judged by everybody left and right nowadays
04:18how I get judged is usually from people who are either uneducated or like
04:23Not exposed to women dressing more masculine when people judge or like look a certain way
04:28It's like I could kind of like take a moment
04:30I'm like, oh like they're not surrounded by a diverse crowd where this is normal or you know, like not confusing
04:37I don't know
04:38Honestly, I think the best word to describe is humorous because whether I like it or not like I still laugh at it
04:43I know who I am
04:44I'm confident with who I am
04:47Why did you choose this type of transformation
04:53Honestly now that i'm in it, I don't know why I chose it
04:57So lexi, are you ready? Nope, i'm terrified. I feel like a bad bitch, but I don't know what I look like
05:05Oh my god. I'm scared. You ready? No. Oh my gosh. You ready? Three two
05:10one
05:12Wait, hold on guys
05:17Hold on
05:19Hey
05:26So
05:31I literally if i'm being honest, I look like my sister. You look so good my little sister. I think I look like a baddie
05:39Do you recognize yourself? Nope, not at all. That's really funny. Wait, the makeup looks incredible. Thank you
05:47I can't believe I have no tattoos. I kind of like it off like i'm really surprised that I like it
05:53I wouldn't dress like this but like
05:56For the experiment
05:59I like it all how does the transformation make you feel?
06:02It makes me feel
06:04It makes you know, I always say get you a girl who could do both
06:08And I think it's making me feel like I can really do anything I want
06:13What do you think your friends are gonna think? I have no idea. It's me. I think they're gonna hit on me for sure
06:18I think lexi's style is very authentic to lexi. Yeah for sure
06:23She's really just always dressing in a way that like
06:27Whatever she has on the outside is just mirroring what she's feeling on the inside
06:30She just has that spirit and that energy that it's just like you just got to snap your head my mask bros
06:36Are about to see me as a girl
06:39Wait a minute. What the fuck?
06:41Sorry, we're in a public area
06:46Hey, I don't know how to feel
06:54I didn't even notice it was you. I was about to be like, I think this is a closed area
07:01You look great
07:04You look great, whoever did your makeup. Hey, she would still turn heads in the club. There we go. It's giving the makeup
07:11I love the makeup. I love the makeup. I love the outfit. I think it's fine. Which stall do you prefer?
07:17Mask or fam, you mean lexi mask. I prefer her and whatever she feels comfortable in. Yeah, let's be honest
07:24No, no, no, i'm for real if tomorrow you came and you're like i'm gonna switch it up. I would be like
07:31Which is really funny because that's like what it was in high school for me. I was dressing really girly
07:34I feel like a lot of us though when we were younger dressed girly because we thought we had to yeah
07:40But we were trying to fit in and not be like the rules of a girl
07:45And I actually I personally felt more like a woman when I started dressing how I wanted than when I was like
07:51Dressing. Yeah, you know what I mean? Yeah
07:53one of the questions we wanted to ask you guys is like
07:55If I were to dress like this and let's say you didn't know me like would you hit on me or date me type of thing?
08:00Well, I think rainy made it clear. Yes, because you
08:05I think my friend's reaction was exactly what I thought it was gonna be just now when I was like waiting in the car
08:09To come in I started like getting the shakes like it was like nervous shakes
08:13And I really think it's just because like of how uncomfortable I am dressing like this
08:17but i'm really proud of myself for like
08:19Being out in public dressing like this because what this really taught me is that like one
08:25Nobody cares and then also just that like as long as you're being yourself and you're confident you could pull off anything
08:31So confidence is key
08:42You
