00:00And so let's dive in a little bit to the MVP.
00:02This could be correlated to the number one seed too.
00:04The interesting part about this is that Patrick Mahomes
00:07does not look like he's gonna win the MVP this year
00:09at 15 to one.
00:10He just hasn't had the offensive season.
00:12I probably would eliminate Goff and Lamar Jackson too.
00:15I feel like it's a two player race,
00:17but Vinny, I don't know that Josh Allen
00:20is the absolute lock.
00:21Like if Barkley goes off for a couple more 200 yard games,
00:25who's to say that if Philly catches Detroit
00:29and he's the number one offensive player in the NFL
00:31that he can't win it.
00:32I mean, I don't know that I would throw a ton on five to one
00:35but I don't think that Josh Allen is open and shut.
00:38Yeah, I mean, in the eyes of the voters, certainly not.
00:41I mean, there are different perspectives to have there.
00:43And if Saquon Barkley stays on the record rushing pace,
00:46by the way, he gets the worst run defense in the NFL
00:49this week and the Panthers, he could really pad that total.
00:52If he is headed toward the rushing record
00:55and we've seen it with big seasons from Adrian Peterson,
00:58who was the last running back to win MVP,
01:00he blew past 2000 yards.
01:02If you get to that mark and the Eagles end up being
01:05the second or best team in the NFC,
01:08it's gonna be hard to take it away from Barkley.
01:11But I think it's gonna be an interesting battle
01:13because again, this has traditionally
01:15been a quarterback award.
01:16It's basically gone to Patrick Mahomes,
01:18Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson for the last several seasons.
01:21So if it's not a quarterback, it has to be Saquon Barkley.
01:25But what has to happen is Allen needs to come back
01:28to earth a little bit with just the way that they're playing.
01:31I think Goff and Jackson have had those
01:33come to earth moments a little bit,
01:34Goff at the interception game and Jackson lost
01:36to the Steelers and Eagles back to back in big games.
01:40So when we look at all that, I think it is turning
01:43toward Josh Allen, but Saquon, again,
01:45if he gets close to that all time mark,
01:47you can't deny a guy that had that kind of season
01:50in any era.
