00:00I'm Carla and Reggie's my XL Bully that I rescued from Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary in June of this year.
00:06He's approximately three years old and he now falls into the category of needing an exemption
00:11certificate because he's an XL Bully type breed. Okay the exemption process is very simple.
00:16You head over to the council's website and download an application form. It asks you simple
00:22things such as your dog's license number, their microchip number, proof of neutering and
00:29public liability insurance so proof of that. The Dogs Trust are running a fantastic
00:34scheme where they can educate you on that and help you with your insurance.
00:37All you had to prove was this one here which is your veterinary confirmation of neutering.
00:44It's the one that the vet will give a wee stamp to and you put it in with your form and it's
00:48really simple. It just comes right then in the post. The application deadline is the 31st of
00:52December and anybody that hasn't filled it in by the 31st of December will be keeping an XL
00:57Bully dog illegally unfortunately.
