Operation Christmas toy drive weathered the storm that cancelled many festive events in Skegness, with a van load of toys heading for the local Storehouse Food Bank and the children's ward at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston. Helping volunteers load the van were MP for Boston and Skegness Richard Tice and Mayor of Skegness Coun Adrian Findley.

00:32So this is our third annual toy drive, we've been amazed at the generosity of the community so far.
00:38The boxes are just piling up now and we can't wait to deliver them to all the causes.
00:42Absolutely amazing, congratulations, I mean it's such a brilliant local initiative.

01:11and obviously this morning you can see that the response, not just locally but south nationally,
01:16has come together to bring this, to make so many people happy.
