00:24My immediate reaction was, absolutely not, because I don't want to dabble in,
00:28I don't want to risk inviting that into my life.
00:31And then of course I remembered that I've got bills to pay, and so this is Russ.

00:37He is a paranormal advisor, and he's going to show us around a very haunted pub in Wensbury.
00:42So if you wouldn't mind just explaining first to us where we are and what we're doing here.
00:47Okay, so welcome to the Leather and Bottle, the old Leather and Bottle pub, built in 1510,
00:54in the heart of Wensbury, in the West Midlands, and it is extremely haunted,
00:59but the main thing is, it is one of the best pubs you'll ever visit.
01:03So I work for the Haunted Exchange, and I'm a co-owner of the Haunted Exchange,
01:10and we do paranormal events up and down the UK.
01:15We do a hell of a lot of spiritual work as well.
01:19We help families and distressed people who are experiencing negative energies
01:24or troublesome spirits within their home.
01:27So this is the Snug.
01:29The Snug was an extension to the original building,
01:34and I believe the brickwork to make the Snug bricks were used from a local church,
01:40a local Methodist church.
01:42So imagine all the residual energy in that brickwork.
01:48So let's just try and speak to the local residential spirit that resides here,
01:54and it's believed to be a former punter.
01:57It's the Grey Man, an oldest gentleman who smells of tobacco,
02:02and he resides in this room.
02:05He can make the ladies in the room feel very uneasy.
02:09So I'm just going to try and communicate with him using one of my spirit radios.
02:14Can the gentleman in the corner there, spirit gentleman, come and speak to me?

03:22So let's make our way to the main room, the main area of the bar.
03:28Okay, so this is the main area. This is the lounge type area.
03:43Paranormal investigators I know have been in here doing investigations and calling out.
03:48But there's been numerous photographs taken over the years of children, children spirits that run around.
03:56And the case that enthralls me really is of a bride, a lady in white, a jilted bride apparently.
04:04She gets seen, that's one of the stories I've heard.
04:07And I'm sure there's a photograph in the domain somewhere of her.
04:11And she tends to reside around in the archway there by the bar.
04:15She gets seen.
04:16But the children as well, I've had an experience with the children in here.
04:20So I've been sat there.
04:22It was a Sunday afternoon carvery they used to do years ago.
04:26They don't do them anymore.
04:27I sat there and I just felt the child spirit, the child energy around me.
04:32It gave me a few goosebumps.
04:35I actually got poked in the back by the child.
04:38So I've been at tombstones and the name of the person's tombstone has come up on this box.
04:43There's no GPS, no intelligence.
04:45It's purely a word bank of 10,000.
04:48A spirit from the other side.
04:52Spirits of the leather and bottle come through please.

06:12So, to determine if a building is haunted or a location is haunted I will often do a, it's called a base check.
06:22So I'll have a walk around the environment that I'm going to be working in, researching in or hosting in.
06:29To check out where the hot or cold spots, depending on how you want to say it, where the activity will possibly lie for the evening.
06:39My own opinion in relation to a building being haunted or not is based on the pure energy and the vibe I pick up from the various rooms that I'm wandering through.
06:52Now my own theory in relation to hauntings and spiritual beings is purely energy.
06:59It's all energy and it's the way energy is manipulated.
07:04I'm a big believer in Tesla's universal field theory and what Einstein said in relation to energy cannot die.
07:12It just transfers into other matter.
07:16So Tesla and Einstein believed in spiritual beings or ghosts if you want to call them that.
07:22So wherever I go it's always about the energy and how that energy feels and resonates to myself, my medium friends or guests or other researchers.
07:34So you can walk into a building, say for example a murder has taken place.
07:41And your own internal energy field, your internal antennae can pick up this energy if you're with me.
07:49So you could possibly pick up the criminal's energy field in your internal antennae or the victim's energy field.
08:00But it all depends on your own internal energy or how open you are to spirit if you've got any blocks.
08:07So that is my interpretation. You can walk into a building and you are the receiver.
