It's that time of the year again - Halloween. Not too long now and many of us will be out donning our finest fancy dress and celebrating the occasion. I'm here to speak to people here in Birmingham to find out where they think the spookiest and most haunted places are here in the West Midlands.

00:00 Well, I'm looking at it now. I've been told some very spooky stories about the Odeon cinema on New Street.
00:05 And I went there once to watch a horror movie. It wasn't quite spooky, but it was a little bit uncanny in some ways.
00:12 But yeah, apparently it's a very old building, and therefore could be haunted.
00:16 That forest near... what's it called? The Priory? Close, is it?
00:23 Yeah.
00:24 That forest near the nature reserve, that place scares me. Oh my god. It's not the fact that it's a forest.
00:33 I think it's the fire that it gives. It's really eerie. I mean, it scares me.
00:40 Yeah.
00:42 Digbook, maybe?
00:44 Yeah, it's a bit creepy, isn't it? It's just dark, isn't it? It's like good venues, but you don't know where you're going.
00:51 When you see someone stood on the side of the road in full black with a hood over them, you thought, "I just stood there, so I'm a bit like..."
00:57 Yeah.
00:59 I'll take it that's something that's happened.
01:03 I think it would definitely have to be Digbeth. It's just that it has that vibe of Victorian-style buildings that makes me kind of uneasy.
01:14 So I'm not sure if it's quite haunted for sure, but it gives that atmosphere and that vibe. So yeah, I would say definitely that.
01:23 So that would be the Black Country Living Museum. Obviously, there's a lot of history there.
01:29 I have read up on it a little bit, and there's been quite a bit of death.
01:33 Being into the paranormal myself, I think that's somewhere I'd definitely go ghost hunting.
01:39 But as for around Birmingham, I'm still exploring, so...
01:44 I don't know where the smoothest place is, but if somebody could point me to it, I'd like to discover it.
01:49 Birmingham is certainly replete with famous haunted sites. Aston Hall, for example, is one renowned haunt.
01:57 This building, constructed in the early 17th century, is steeped in macabre tales.
02:03 Visitors often report sightings of the White Lady, alleged to be the daughter of Thomas Holt.
02:09 As the story goes, he confined her to her bedroom for 16 relentless years after she tried to elope with a commoner.
02:16 Moving into the heart of the city, you'll find the Alexandra Theatre, a location gripped by a history of tragedy.
02:23 It is a breeding ground for a multitude of ghostly spectres.
02:27 It's very often, it's the shivers down the spine, rather than actual visual sightings, but been a number of those.
02:37 There used to be a bar in here, it's been a number of things over the years.
02:42 There used to be a bar actually over there, just a little one.
02:45 That bar is long gone, but not apparently the Grey Lady, who is sometimes seen around this area, who may have worked at that bar.
02:56 So, for paranormal enthusiasts, Birmingham offers a multitude of options for you to delve into this Halloween.
