00:11Tourism Secretary Cristina Frasco emphasized the importance of hosting the second International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress,
00:20which brought together representatives from 38 countries, supported by First Lady Luisa Araneta Marcos.
00:27The Congress highlights Filipino culture and traditional healing practices, such as Hilot, alongside the country's top-tier healthcare services.
00:37Around 80,000 to 250,000 foreign tourists are visiting the country annually for health and wellness purposes, ranking third in ASEAN and 24th globally in Medical Tourism Index.
00:51According to Agora Group, the country could see up to half a million international patients by 2030, with DOT setting a target of one million in the future through market expansion.
