00:00Let's take a look at the events that took place at the National Age Group Aquathlon in Cavite.
00:07This is what Paulo Salamati reported.
00:12There were tears, there were laughs, and there were joys.
00:15These are just a few of the mixed emotions that can be seen after the 2024 National Age Group Aquathlon
00:22that was organized by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines in Vermoza Sports Hub in Inos, Cavite this week.
00:28First on the list was the defense of 2023 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist Andro Kim Remolino,
00:34her title in the men's elite category of the competition,
00:37while the women's elite division was run by Filipino triathlete Erica Burgos.
00:42The key for this race was consistency.
00:45I find this as my happy place.
00:47The past few months was a bit hard for me and I find that training or racing or just doing something that you love
00:54is definitely a great way to heal and to enjoy yourself.
00:58Aside from the national triathletes, the kids also showed their skills,
01:02where some of them were the first to participate in this kind of sport.
01:08Early on, I was very tired and my barefoot hurt,
01:12but I just wanted to run so that I could be in first place.
01:15This is for my mom.
01:17This is for my family to be proud of me.
01:21The race was very fun and exciting, but I also got tired really easily.
01:25That's good because I know I have learned something over there.
01:28I learned my mistakes.
01:31In the next aquatlon, I will do the correct race.
01:35The race is very fun and I'm very tired.
01:40The triathlon team coach, Anthony Lozada,
01:44and Trap Secretary General Sarita Zafra are among the participants in this year's competition.
01:51This is a big help, especially in promoting the sport.
01:54You can see that there are a lot of kids.
01:57When you start them young, they get to love the sport.
02:03Some age groupers from Singapore even traveled to the Philippines to join it.
02:08Here, you can gauge the most competitive athletes from all over the country.
02:14This is a gauge for their best time.
02:19After the National Age Group Aquatlon,
02:21the National Age Group Triathlon in Subic will be held next year
02:26here at Vermosa Sports Hub in Cavite,
02:29Paulo, Salamatina for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
