00:00The Gawad CCP is a prestigious institution and is known for its contributions to music, theater, film, literature, and other arts.

00:12In their works and literature, they continue to promote our culture and inspire each and every one of us. Let's watch this.

00:22Some of the Filipino artists say that they put their whole heart and mind to contribute to the establishment of the culture, art, and literature of the country.

00:34And as a contribution, the prestigious institution of the Philippine Cultural Center, the Gawad CCP for the Arts, was established.

00:44We look at the various fields of the arts, such as dance, music, theater, literature, film, visual arts, and design.

00:56And we look at who are the people or organizations that have a great contribution to the condition of our arts and culture.

01:06Aside from that, we also give prestige to some groups or people who serve for their culture of their region.

01:15As well as the people who have a great contribution even if they are not artists.

01:22The Gawad CCP Board of Trustees went through each field and established the Gawad CCP for the Arts.

01:29And some of the people who have a great contribution are Joel Ayala in the field of music, Generoso Karinal in the field of dance, and Maria Leia Carmen Salonga in the field of theater.

01:44I feel fulfilled by the work. The awards are nice. I mean, it doesn't matter where they come from, if they're in the US or here or the UK.

01:53It's nice and I do appreciate them. But the fulfillment for me comes from creating something that you hope other people will enjoy and be entertained by.

02:05And hoping that it might affect someone else. That's really it. That's where the fulfillment lies.

02:12The President's sister, Irene Marcos Araneta, also shared a message from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

02:20To our Gawad CCP para sa sining awardees, thank you for reminding us that we are indeed a nation capable of great beauty, depth, and meaning.

02:33Maraming salamat po at mabuhay ang sining at Kultura ng Pilipinas.

02:38Pansamantalamang nakasara ang pangunahing gusali ng Sentrong Pangkultura ng Pilipinas, ay patuloy pa rin ang pagpapalaghanap ng sining sa ibat-ibang bahagi ng dansa.
