00:00Let's get to the National League playoff picture less than two weeks remain in this MLB regular season
00:06We're nearing only ten games left over an area of a hundred and sixty-two
00:10Around MLB this year again as we look at the divisional races
00:14There is not much at stake the Dodgers are going to win the National League West for the 11th time in the last 12 years
00:20They have a three and a half game lead over San Diego. That's the closest one
00:25But when you look at division prices on the FanDuel sportsbook only to remain none in the National League
00:32It's just the AL East in the AL
00:35Central National League East we're going to have a new divisional champ for the first time in seven seasons
00:40The Braves have won six straight the Phillies an eight-game lead over the Mets right now and the Brewers
00:46Maintain a double-digit advantage in the National League Central ten games up over the Chicago Cubs
00:51So that's kind of taken care of the question Joe with the division leaders is the order of those
00:59Three will it be Philadelphia one la to Milwaukee three might we see a change in these final two weeks
01:07Yeah, and you could very well and and it actually means a little something right because because they're the new structure with the playoffs
01:15And the extra team band we got buys are involved this year
01:18So it's actually not a just get in it and win it
01:22We don't care heck if you can get that number one locked up, man
01:25You get that number one locked up. It gives you all the advantage with rotations and everything else moving forward
01:32It is a really interesting debate Joe
01:34If you remember the debate last year in the MLB postseason as we saw wild card teams in both leagues
01:39Face off in a world series the Rangers who knocked off the top overall seed in the AL Baltimore in the division round the D
01:46backs, of course
01:48Catching fire at the right time to play in the World Series. It was the rest versus rust age-old
01:54Debate was earning those top two seeds in the opening round by past the wild card round into the division series
02:01Actually a benefit will have those same conversations
02:04I am sure as we get to this October and this MLB postseason. Here's a really
02:10intriguing and frankly wrong
02:12Market discrepancy on the fan dual sports book
02:14The Dodgers are the favorites right now to have the best record in all of the bigs at minus
02:21150 the Phil's have the second best price of plus 110
02:24But Philadelphia with the one game advantage for the best record currently in the National League is a minus
02:29145 favorite to be that NL number one overall seed
02:33There is no way the Dodgers could have the best record in
02:37Philadelphia the best seed unless they would pay you out in the dead heat rules applying
02:42Because Philly does have the advantage in the season series
02:45Over LA and thus the tiebreaker if they ended up with the same record, that's an interesting odds distinction on fan
02:53Yeah, it's a very interesting and what does it say about what we are thinking about this Dodgers team?
03:00What we thought about them where they are currently right now what the market still thinks is going to happen here
03:07I mean as far as I'm concerned
03:10The team that I trust the most of those three been as crazy as this is the Milwaukee Brewers because I think they've been the most
03:17Consistent that we can trust here to do it. But the way the schedule is lining up here
03:22It's probably if the Phillies handle their business
03:25The Phillies are gonna be your number one seed
03:28But can you say that with confidence that they'll go ahead and just run the table and handle it?
03:33I I can't not with that not with the way they've been playing since the all-star break
03:37Of course, Philadelphia who has made the NLCS each of the past two years, but it's done
03:42So from the wildcard category Atlanta has won the National League East for six consecutive seasons
03:49Philly was really bad up until August 23rd 12 and 20 since that all-star break in Arlington since that point though better baseball
03:5716 and 6 despite the loss yesterday in
04:01Milwaukee so Joe Philly's going to win the National League East for the first time in seven seasons
04:05The Braves not going to win the division crown for the first time snapping a six
04:10Season streak and might miss out on the postseason. Here's where it gets fun
04:15San Diego three and a half games up over, New York two and a half in front of Arizona for that top wildcard spot
04:22The D backs just a game in front of the New York Mets
04:26We thought San Diego and Arizona were comfortably going to be those top two seeds
04:31We shall see as both teams have cooled off since their torrent starts after the all-star break the Mets walk it off yesterday
04:38Against the Nationals at home in 10 innings courtesy of Sterling Marte the pinch-hit RBI winner for New York
04:45The Braves get blanked losing 9-zip in the fourth and final game of their extended weekend set against the LA Dodgers
04:52So here we are
04:53Entering the final two weeks of this MLB season in the Braves trail the Mets for the third and final
04:59National League wildcard position by a full game
05:03Yeah, and I listen I've been saying it for weeks now that the Braves are going to be on the outside looking in for the
05:09first time since what just at
05:112017 since they've last missed the postseason and
05:15And rightfully so I mean quite honestly how many more injuries there's only so much you can do here
05:21Then I mean and again you see the bats have been an issue all year long a lot of guys
05:26Underperforming in that lineup the stack all the injuries to the rotation and everyone else there and
05:33It's just too much to overcome and quite honestly
05:35It should be because the Mets have been playing the best baseball since around middle of July right through here
05:42They deserve to be where they are
05:44And I would much rather have the Mets in the postseason
05:47Then the current the way it's rostered right now with this Braves team who in all likelihood would get bounced right away anyway
05:54So the Atlanta Braves are a minus
05:57170 favorite to see the postseason the New York Mets are a minus
06:01168 favorite to see the postseason and the Arizona Diamondbacks are minus
06:05620 not all of those teams can be a minus money favorite to playoff berth
06:11Because San Diego doesn't even have a price listed
06:15They have such a substantial cushion for that top overall wildcard spot
06:20So, how about the team to earn the National League succeed?
06:23That would be the third and final the D backs at plus 165 the Braves at plus
06:27190 and the Mets at a plus 200 number
06:31I think the fan dual sports book has been hesitant to move the Atlanta Braves fully out of that
06:37postseason picture in the wildcard bubble because of where the Braves were
06:41Starting off this season the second-best price and just ever so slightly behind
06:46The LA Dodgers to win the National League not
06:50You know not to be one of the top teams
06:52But to win the pennant and despite the injury the Braves really have flirted with one of those best prices
06:58Here are the National League pennant prices as of this moment, Joe
07:02You have trust in Milwaukee the brute crew at an 11 to 1 price
07:06They'll have home field advantage at least in the wildcard round if they can't catch the Dodgers or the Phil's to earn that opening round
07:13There is some value the Mets $4 behind the Raves
07:17I don't disagree or I don't agree with the price now the American League net
07:21From the NL to the American League in the playoff picture on that side of the equation in Major League Baseball
07:29Really the stories have been down the home stretch the race for the American League East
07:34The Yankees have now established a pretty substantial cushion in that division
07:39But thus the race for the AL East has also been the race for the top spot in the number one overall seat in the American
07:46League alongside the Cleveland Guardians
07:49So the Yanks 87 and 63 now a three-game lead over Baltimore in the division the Guardians
07:56Yesterday coming from behind to take the opening game of their midweek set against divisional foe the Minnesota Twins
08:02We'll talk about Minnesota on a slide here as of late the Guardians 87 and 64
08:08Joe just a half game behind
08:11New York it will be a pretty
08:13Contested race over these final two weeks for what would be home field advantage the entirety of the way to the pennant in the AL
08:22Yeah, and ironically enough and the the one team that we don't have to worry about getting that number one seat is Houston
08:29I don't think any of us believe that that's even a possibility
08:33The fact that there's still just four games up on Seattle is kind of laughable as well
08:38But you know, you and I have talked about that division being the Astros are winning it despite of themselves there
08:44But the Yankees and Guardians, I think it's gonna come right down to the last couple of games
08:48But it would not shock me if the last game or two here in the regular season will determine who gets that number one seat
08:55So the Guardians now a five-game lead in the American League Central again
08:59There are two division prices still available to bet on the fan sports book
09:04The Yanks minus 750 with the three-game advantage to win the American League East with the five-game lead in the AL Central
09:11Cleveland is minus
09:126,000 again the Guardians rallying yesterday against Minnesota to win the opener of that set four to three the Tigers
09:19knocking off Kansas City in Kaufman
09:22Seven to six in terms of that American League West the Astros still a four-game lead despite Seattle winning three
09:31Consecutive games the Astros did drop their opener yesterday out in San Diego against the Padres
09:37But the odds maker is not putting that one up on the board
09:40We know Joe for a very long time that whoever does come up just slightly short in the American League East
09:46Would be that top wild-card team in the American League and despite the O's trailing the Yankees by three games
09:52There are five games up over the twins for that top spot
09:56There's still two and a half in front of Casey who has the second best pot spot
10:00Casey at this moment again losing yesterday to Detroit still a two-and-a-half game cushion over, Minnesota
10:06The twins germinary just a game and a half lead now with 12 games remaining in this regular season
10:14Over the Tigers do not sleep on Detroit. The Tigers a 7-6 victory
10:20Yesterday in Kansas City the Tigers have been one of the best teams in baseball
10:24Since the end of August in those final few weeks of August
10:28Does Detroit have life to make an American League playoff run?
10:33And they've been since July
10:36One of the best pitching staffs and all of major league baseball, which is really what catapulted them
10:43To even make a run at this. So I mean when you look at it
10:47No, everyone was laughing at Detroit a month ago
10:50We would have told you we were in this spot Ben people would have thought we were crazy
10:54But no, no
10:55we're not crazy and a lot of this has to do with the fact that the twins to your point have fallen off a cliff but
11:02You know, the twins have been you know, heckle and jive heckle and hide all all year long Ben
11:08Which version are you going to get we've seen the one that strikes out a ton and the bullpen melts
11:15We've seen the one that will score 15 runs on you and you don't have a prayer. That's the problem with, Minnesota
11:22They have not been consistent
11:24Detroit has and Detroit in all likelihood could very well catch them in these final 12 games. It would not shock me
11:32So we're an area the twins did not play on August 22nd
11:36The reason I bring up that date is because the Tigers did we'll talk about Detroit in just a moment
11:41They lost the st. Louis on August 23rd. So on August 21st, they were 15 games was Minnesota above
11:50571 and
11:5156 from that point they are 8 and 15
11:54They have dropped 7 of their last 10 games now, August 22nd Detroit was 4 games below
12:01562 and 66 from that point they are 16 and
12:077 Detroit is on fire
12:09The Tigers have clawed their way back and Joe
12:11Although we do not believe the American League West to be a competitive race because Seattle is playing better baseball
12:17They've won three in a row
12:19They're only two back of Minnesota as well in the American League wild card chase
12:24Here are the pennant odds right now in the American League the Yankees a substantial cushion at 2 to 1
12:30The Astros and the O's tied for the second best point price at plus
12:35three six
12:37two weeks remaining of this
12:392024 MLB regular season four series remain for all 30 clubs around Major League Baseball the hunt for
12:47October is certainly here, which means our MLB insider the host of
12:53Newswire and a man with many Florida Gator connections Craig Miss joins us on this Tuesday on the early line at on
13:00Sports grid, of course, you can catch newswire starting at 11 a.m
13:03Eastern time after us each and every weekday live right here on the grid Craig. We appreciate the time
13:09Thanks for being here as always
13:10Yeah, I think last week we talked about a lot of games
13:14We did some college to off the air and and I and I think I did okay
13:18I mean UCF, I mean, I don't know how you felt about their win last week
13:21It was crazy in the end, but they were giving points. They were getting points, but my thought that the Gators
13:27Getting points at home in the swamp against any team
13:31I mean, I I was so alarmed watching that game last week. I don't even know what to say
13:37So for me, I know that's the big story right now in college football in the state of Florida
13:42But and I assume we all know how it's gonna end in the end, but right I would just I can't believe what I saw
13:48Last week it was it was stunning
13:50Almost a delay of the inevitable and inevitable for what will feel like Billy Napier's final run here in year three
13:57Probably not seeing year four at the helm of UF
14:00Listen, if you can't go to Starkville against the Mississippi State team
14:04That is a struggling right now where Toledo blew out the Bulldogs in Stark Vegas Toledo and win
14:10And cover as a five and a half point favorite. He might not make the trip back to Gainesville
14:16But Craig we often joke around MLB trade deadline day or any big time during the offseason that my dream
14:23My dream on this show is for you to get a text or a call of some big MLB breaking news if that happens
14:31With the Florida head coaching job because you are plugged in my friend. We break it here on the early line. Shake on it
14:37Shake right now. I don't think it's gonna happen
14:40But we will we will definitely shake on it because there's some candidates out there that I may know
14:44So that that that would be that would be something that I could potentially provide
14:49Listen, the tribe is strong
14:51Let's hit each and every bag as we get ready for the final two weeks of this MLB campaign. It's time now for daily basis
15:04Got a love when Joe Lisi makes an appearance with his voice as well Craig both
15:08Hold on
15:11No before we go any further I
15:13Have to express my disappointment in Ben
15:17Yesterday a lot of text message a lot of direct message
15:21I do very little season win totals before the season. I gave out to to here on the show
15:29Kansas City Royals over Los Angeles A's under I did not get a text from Ben Stevens
15:36One of the few one of the few yesterday. I five great job. It's over. Can't believe it two weeks to go
15:43Just saying Ben next year. Yeah a little bit more than a handshake, you know, come on, man
15:48I listen listen, that's on me, right?
15:51I did give you a
15:53Gratulatory text and thank you for that when the Royals went over because now you did 74 win
15:58It was a cash ticket. I knew it. It was my fault Craig not out of
16:03Not being happy or thanking or gratitude for you
16:07But just maybe bad sports hosting and not realizing that the Angels had lost sixth grade and thus were 30 games below
16:14500 and could only win even at most if they won all-final of their
16:191272 to stay under it was bad arithmetic on my part. Not bad appreciation a sincere. Thank you
16:27All right. Listen, we gotta have Shohei Ohtani speed on the base pass if we're gonna get to all four
16:32We saw both guys Craig that are still in contention kind of for the National League Rookie of the Year Award on display yesterday
16:39Skeens did record his third loss of the year. That's Paul Skeens, but his era did lower
16:43He only allowed a single earned run albeit in a loss to the st
16:47Louis Cardinals Jackson Merrill another home run in a decisive game for the Padres against the Astros
16:54You see the odds minus 550 for Merrill plus 270 for Paul Skeens
16:59Craig is the graphic asks. Is this even still a race for National League Rookie of the Year?
17:04I think it is but I do think in the end Skeens is popularity is gonna win out
17:09I don't know if that's fair, but because he's must watch every time he starts. I think he's going to win it
17:15I think the whole thing is unfair the best rookie in Major League Baseball in the National League April May and June and now
17:22Again was shown at Imanaga. I don't know what happened here. I mean the guy has been fantastic all season long
17:27I don't I guess he's not gonna win Rookie of the Year, but guys in my mind
17:31I think he is the Rookie of the Year in the National League to me. He had one bad month of the season
17:36He was dominant for three months. He's dominating again. Why is he not in this conversation? I have no idea
17:43Hmm, it's a great point. He has once again been absolutely lights out except for that brief little stint
17:49On the ILE has been really really good. What about the whole National League playoff picture? No Craig
17:54It feels like we're gonna not going to have Atlanta Braves baseball in the postseason for the first time in forever
18:00It feels like yeah, and I think like I said last week on the show. I think it's okay
18:05You look the Braves are not gonna be happy with this, but they've just had too many injuries over the course of the season
18:10I think we'll look back at the end of the year and say when you lose your best pitcher and you lose your best hitter
18:14And you have injuries throughout and some underperformance. You don't get in and by the way credit to them
18:18They still have a shot. But again, it'll come down to them. That's for the end
18:22It will really be a credit to them
18:24Those two teams will start a three game set in Atlanta against each other exactly one week from today to the American League perspective
18:31Of things Craig the wild-card race is getting interesting the twins on a slide the Tigers and Mariners playing great baseball
18:39We thought the playoff picture was pretty much done
18:41Just had to figure out some seating is it alive for that third and final a a wild-card spot?
18:47Tigers are red-hot. I think we'll be talking about them Ben next year as a potential over depending on what they do
18:53Guys, would they look back on trading Jack clarity right now and saying we wish we never did that and had him down the stretch
18:59Maybe so Tigers still have a shot. I would not give up on them. The twins have not played great baseball
19:05The Tigers a game and a half behind their divisional foes in Minnesota quickly here Craig
19:10And by the way, if we do bet the Tigers to the over and it cashes immense gratitude
19:13Of course quickly here before we go a contender matchup in the National League in Milwaukee
19:19The Brewers won the first game of the set against the Phil's yesterday
19:23Philly a game in front of the Dodgers who are two in front of Milwaukee
19:27That's the standing at the top looking for those two buys
19:30Who do you think ends up with the two buys in the end while at playoff picture?
19:34Yeah, I'm not sure today's game though is interesting, you know
19:37Philly's not as good on the road as they are at home and Milwaukee's been dominant. So Wheeler at minus 140 I get it
19:42He's the better pitcher between him and Frankie Montas. But if this game is tight third fourth inning
19:47I'm popping on one of those sites and maybe taking the dog here
19:50All right, Craig miss we appreciate the pick before you go. We thank you. We'll see you on newswire more on the early line
19:57Next major league baseball breakdowns as we enter the final two weeks of this
20:022024 MLB regular season each and every year Joe at the end of March in early April when we get to opening day
20:08It's always like a hundred and sixty two games
20:11How are we ever going to reach the finish line?
20:13We are so tapped in early in the season in the summer months when it's just baseball
20:18That's our focus as well. And here we are just two weeks remaining the hunt for October the team's in playoff consideration
20:25these games meaningful they matter they are
20:29Significant even in Milwaukee where Philadelphia is not really getting tested in the National League East
20:35We're gonna have a divisional champ
20:37New for the first time in seven years after the Braves have won this division six
20:42Consecutive seasons and Milwaukee was not the preseason favorite to win the NL Central
20:47It was the Cardinals or the new look Cubs with the Brewers former manager and Craig counsel all the credit in the world to Pat Murphy
20:54In Milwaukee, they've got a double-digit lead in the National League Central
20:57The reason this game matters is for playoff positioning in the National League the Phillies game up
21:03Over the Dodgers for the best record in the National League the brew crew two games back of
21:10LA for what would be that opening round by
21:13Throughout the wild-card round and in to the division series
21:18Here's the game in Milwaukee today and as Craig misshared earlier
21:22You look at the line working back to Milwaukee ever so slightly
21:25But Zach Wheeler in the Phil's a road favorite total of seven and a half
21:30Yeah magic number for Milwaukee now what to I believe here they handled their business again last night and
21:39Call me crazy here
21:40I think they've got a pretty good shot of once again being able to get this done
21:45Montas has been good since he's come over for them. Of course, they're gonna have to
21:50Go against Wheeler who is never a lot of fun in any way shape or form
21:56But
21:57At plus money then which is what you're always gonna get them going up against somebody like a Wheeler
22:04And there is some value
22:06There although Wheeler has been pretty good. What six starts in August three and one what a one point six two era
22:1344 strikeouts. He's only walked five in the last 39 innings
22:18He has been really really good including two and oh this month in September
22:23but boy, it just feels like
22:26Milwaukee is at plus money or even plus a run-and-a-half is worth a stab
22:32Because what happens when the Phillies have to go to the bullpen?
22:36Yes, that is the issue as we saw yesterday Ranger Suarez has not been great twelve and seven now after a
22:45Roaring start to this year two is the magic number by the way for Milwaukee to win the division for the Phil's
22:51It's a little bit more than that as they try to still with an eight-game lead stay in front of the Mets
22:57But we've got just 12 games remaining here in this MLB regular season yesterday
23:02The Phillies actually had more base knocks double digits 11 and that of Milwaukee despite losing six to two
23:08But the Phil's were just one for nine with runners in scoring position
23:13Now we go to San Diego out in Southern, California
23:17The Padres and the Astros San Diego now has won four straight games Houston entered yesterday winning four straight both
23:24swept the weekend before this midweek series and the Padres and ever so slight favorite now at minus 112 in front of
23:32Houston total seven and a half for this matchup only four runs and you Darvish was really really good yesterday for San Diego
23:41Another sellout crowd last night at Petco for Darvish. There's gonna be another sellout crowd here tonight for Michael King
23:49Since May July 20th, we're talking about the Padres 36 and 15
23:55They have been absolutely on a roll. They've won four straight now Ben
24:00I believe and they've allowed only four runs
24:03Total in this four-game winning streak that they are in here
24:08And I believe also the Padres lead Major League Baseball as a team hitting 275 against right-handed pitching
24:15I love on a brown. I think he's been great this year for the Astros, but man
24:20I am NOT stepping in front of this Padres train in any way shape or form
24:24And then Joe you go to the Arizona Diamondbacks as well much like San Diego one of the hottest teams from the all-star break
24:31They really were battling for that best record and up until August 28th
24:35Arizona was 26 and 8 but from that point they have cooled down just a little bit
24:42They've lost three of their last four
24:44They've lost six of their last ten can the Diamondbacks find that?
24:48Against one of the worst teams in the National League today at Coors Field as the Diamondbacks will visit the Rockies
24:55But they're not the biggest favorite Jordan Montgomery being called up from the bullpen
25:00He's now back in the starting rotation
25:02Arizona near a dollar and a half favorite total is 11 today in Denver
25:08Well, Arizona win this baseball game. It's not necessarily the strongest number you would expect against the Rockies at this time of year
25:16No, and the fact that they lost last night too is even more disgusting here
25:20But what am I supposed to do with Jordan Montgomery in a six point two five era?
25:24He hasn't started a game in more than three weeks because they demoted him to the bullpen
25:29Yeah, I don't even know if he makes the postseason roster at this particular point, but I'll tell you this
25:35I don't want to say it's must win, but you can't lose to back-to-back here and
25:41Not in Colorado in Coors Field, but the problem is if you're ever going to back, Colorado, you're only backing him at home and
25:48This is a spot against this pitcher where I might want to consider Colorado once again
25:54The Diamondbacks scored two runs in the top of the first yesterday on a Cattell Marte to run shot
26:01Fantastic, then Ezekiel Tovar hit a home run in the fourth. The Rockies remain in the game
26:06They had another home run in the seventh and then Brendan Rogers scores on a fielder's choice
26:11And then because we had a scoring error or because a throwing error Brenton Doyle
26:17Scores the walk-off run for the Rocks to knock off the Arizona
26:21Diamondbacks can the Braves bounce back from dropping the final two games of their four-game extended set today in Cincinnati
26:28The Reds are not going to be a playoff team
26:29But since he hasn't been bad here really since the middle of August should provide a little bit of competition
26:35To Atlanta grant Holmes gets the start for the Braves
26:38They're a road favorite in a great American ballpark total is nine
26:42Will Atlanta bounce back now trailing the Mets by a full game for that final and a wild-card spot
26:48Well, they brought Holmes back right he was in the in the pen he was hurt now
26:54He's back. And can we trust Atlanta on a road as a favorite to score enough runs man?
27:00me
27:02Blanked yesterday two runs in the loss on Sunday the Dodgers only four hits as a team yesterday
27:10It's dicey. They're a favorite, but it's not exactly easy
27:13Can the Mets then extend the lead in the National League wild-card chase more next?
27:18The New York Mets now a four-game lead for the third and final National League wild-card spot in front of Atlanta
27:25The Braves a slight road favorite today in Cincinnati not exactly going to be an easy one
27:31They just walk away with so if the Braves do lose for a third consecutive day
27:35The New York Mets must take advantage against the Washington Nationals
27:41They are booked as a hefty home favorite minus 164 total is seven and a half
27:46It's not exactly an ace on the bump for New York
27:50But Tyler McGill hasn't been terrible as of late you see what the graphic says when Eric gotta win these
27:55Will the Mets do that today? Yep?
27:58Yeah, well they better
28:00And you know Lindor on the he's a basically reserved to cheerleading now in the dugout
28:06And but that's alright because they're still hopeful that he might be able to get back here
28:11If you had to wonder what was this team gonna be once they lost the guy that's been leading this charge in Lindor and the answer
28:18Is pretty much the amazing Mets again?
28:21It feels like those amazing Mets figure out way Marte comes in again gets it done last night
28:27The Mets at home in this spot. I you know I don't trust park here. I think the Mets keep it rolling
28:35Although I do like Washington
28:37Moving forward next year, but that might be one of my first future bets when those numbers come out
28:43But not tonight against the Mets no way it
28:46Less than a very promising young core led by Dylan Cruz who has been called up who has been very very good
28:52James would Mackenzie Gordon terms of their starting staff
28:56There was a lot to like for the Nats and maybe one so I'm not gonna talk about Juan Soto in his offseason
29:01Oh sure just yet, but Tyler McGill has been good Rene three starts since the end of August
29:07He's allowed for earn runs in total the Mets have won all three games
29:12You might look at the overall record that is three and five with a four four eight era and say this is the guy you
29:17Turned to in a must-win spot. He's been solid
29:20He's been what they need the offense needs to be there Jose Iglesias in that leadoff spot for Lindor has been pretty good as
29:27Well, the Detroit Tigers man, they're making a fight. They've won seven of their last nine
29:33They're only a game and a half back of divisional mate, Minnesota for the final American League wildcard spot
29:39They won yesterday in KC in the opener seven to six over the Royals
29:43Kansas City and Cole Reagan's hefty favorite at home today against Casey Mize and Detroit
29:48But heck you can't count out the Tigers. What do you make of this matchup today at Kauffman?
29:53not pretty good
29:56Pitching battle here to know Ben
29:57I mean with with Reagan's and Mize both on the mound here and the Tigers looking to continue and listen
30:04I do think that this total at eight is fascinating to me
30:09It's a game in which I'm going to think Ben that we're going to get just that a pitchers battle in the first five
30:15I'm on the under four in that spot there because this has got to one heading into
30:21The sixth seventh eighth inning written all over it. That's the way I'm going to approach it with these two starters
30:27Bobby Witt jr. A grand salami in the third yesterday got the scoring for KC Detroit battled back
30:33They even had a 6-4 lead entering the sixth in Kansas City off a couple more RB eyes from Bobby Witt jr
30:41But then it was a three run sixth for Detroit Matt Bierling the game-winning RBI
30:47For Detroit, there's 16 and 7 since the end of August or at least August 28th when they were four games below
30:55500 this Detroit team has been good August 22nd, excuse me, but still very very good, Minnesota the opposite
31:02They've dropped seven of their last ten. They are holding on for dear life
31:06And yesterday had an opportunity to hold off the Guardians. They were unable to do that
31:13We stay in Cleveland and it's not like the Guardians Joe with a five-game lead in the division like hey, whatever we can help out
31:19Minnesota
31:20They're trying to contend with the Yanks only a half game out for that number one overall seed in the American League
31:25Cleveland a home favorite. What do you like?
31:28Yeah, well, I don't like the twins. I mean they've lost 18 of their last 27
31:33And they I mean not good here. The Guardians are 10 and 5 so far this this month Gavin Williams, by the way, I think
31:41It's been a little
31:43Exploded his ERA over the last couple here, but I think this is exactly who you got to look at here
31:50Everyone will expect some sort of bounce back against him. I don't see it. I think the Guardians are the right side
31:56Minnesota had a three zip lead Kyle Manzardo a two-run shot for the Guardians brought them back
32:02They went four to three again Cleveland only a half game behind
32:06The Yankees Joe in the final 20 seconds the Yanks make the road trip out to Seattle the Mariners have won four straight
32:12What gives tonight?
32:14Yeah, no, no runs the under 2-1 final score here. The bullpens are gonna have to win it
32:20Three straight for Seattle, by the way, but you see that total of seven in the Pacific Northwest. He's Geron Arie
32:27I am Ben Stevens. What a time it was on this Tuesday. The early line returns tomorrow at 8 a.m
32:34Eastern Time the talk to you then
