00:00President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. is in favor of the proper use and transparency of the Pondo ng Bayan.

00:09According to the President, it is important to lay out a plan to properly distribute the services to the people.

00:18With this roadmap, we give a clear mandate of ensuring that the money entrusted to us by the people

00:26serves a purpose that truly matters, that will make a difference.

00:31President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. is in favor of the commitment of his administration to a transparent and transformative leadership.

00:40He said that when he led the ceremonial endorsement of the Public Financial Management Reforms Roadmap 2024-2028 in Malacanang yesterday.

00:50According to the Chief Executive, the ceremony is more than just an endorsement of the policy, but it is the government's support for the change.

00:58This includes the proper use and transparency of the public funds.

01:04President Marquez is determined to help in providing the government's services,

01:10such as disaster relief and response actions, public health care, social services, and others.

01:17In this new PFM, we are committed to synchronize planning and budgeting at our local, regional, and national levels,

01:25as well as streamlining our institutional frameworks to reduce the time spent on bureaucratic processes.

01:32Last year, President Marquez passed Executive Order No. 29 that establishes the Public Financial Management Information Systems.

01:40This includes the support for technological innovation and digitalization.

01:46Because true progress is about moving beyond what we have always done and questioning how much we can be,

01:52true progress is about how we find ways to flourish in this ever-changing world.

01:58The Public Financial Management Reforms is formed by the Budget Department,

02:02along with the Commission on Audit, Bureau of Treasury, NEDA, and others.

02:07With the strong support of our partners, especially with ADB,

02:11I am confident that the PFM Reforms Roadmap, anchored on the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028,

02:19will lead the nation to a higher growth trajectory, and ultimately to reducing poverty and achieving genuine prosperity.

02:28Consider yourselves as the forerunners of this new era, this Bagong Pilipinas that we are building.
