Doncaster Free Press Daily Bulletin with Stephanie Bateman - Wednesday July 17, 2024
Transcript
00:00Morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday, July the 17th,
00:04bringing you some headlines this morning. First of all, a piece I put out which features
00:09Doncaster's most and least expensive streets, which has been revealed in the city. The prices
00:17are based over the last five years. You can probably guess where some of the most expensive
00:22houses are, but there is a list there of the postcodes, so you can have a look if you fancy
00:29moving or if you want to see if your street features, just take a look at that today.
00:35Then we have a food-related one. A Doncaster minimarket held a piece of cake challenge.
00:42It asked customers to go along and try a piece of its large chocolate cake to finish it all
00:49within a minute with a chance of winning £50. The event actually took place last night.
00:54We have asked them to get back to us with some up-to-date details of if that was achieved. It
01:00follows on from some things of being on social media. Another minimarket asked customers to try
01:06and drink a litre of fizzy pop in a minute with also a chance to win £50. Quite an achievement
01:13if you can do it. I wouldn't fancy doing that myself, but there you are. And then finally,
01:17also, another food-related one. Nice for those who are a bit short of a penny as we're going to
01:26the summer holidays. One of Doncaster's newest pizza takeaways is offering slices of pizza for
01:32just £15. It is only taking place for one day, but still, £15 for a slice of pizza
01:40sounds good to me, so you can find out where that's taking place and when the offer is on.
01:47Also on the website today. Obviously, we'll be keeping you updated on Facebook and X as the
01:53day goes on, and hopefully it will remain sunny and you can have a lovely Wednesday.
01:57I shall speak to you later.
