00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Friday, July the 5th.
00:07Most of you will be waking up to some rather remarkable news this morning.
00:12There has been a complete Labour whitewash in yesterday's general election.
00:18Myself, my colleague Darren and local democracy reporter Shannon have been keeping tabs on what's going on.
00:25Shannon's been down at the racecourse at the Count keeping an eye on everyone.
00:31We'll be bringing some videos and reports from that throughout today.
00:37The actual results for Doncaster are all up on the website now.
00:42There's been two Labour holds and the new boundary of Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme,
00:49which was served by MP Nick Fletcher, has now been taken over.
00:54It's a Labour gain for Leigh Pitcher.
00:58So, yeah, all change. It's completely Labour dominated in South Yorkshire, across the board actually.
01:07So that's the main story coming to you this morning.
01:10Just a couple of other things that should be mentioned, politics aside.
01:17We put out some information that French Gates, who obviously have just been bought out,
01:22which we announced at the beginning of the week, are welcoming three new stores into the shopping centre, which is great news.
01:34And also we had a warrant. We looked into a warrant that was being carried out.
01:41Again, on the clearance day, there's been a lot of problems over the last week or so.
01:46The police eventually came back to us and said the property that was raided, they actually found two firearms in there.
01:55We'll give you more of an update if that is forthcoming from the police.
02:00So for those stories, and like I say, everything election related, that Shannon will be putting out.
02:08Once she's had a little bit of a sleep, I would think, which is what I'm planning on doing,
