00:00 So Dean here we are at Sandy's, your new cafe. Yeah. So how does it feel to be here and how long have you been here?
00:06 We opened early November effectively. Real build up through Christmas, some real great learning times and
00:13 And now we're really building our business as you can see. Cafe's full, we've got some bookings coming through and yeah, absolutely thrilled to be here.
00:22 Wonderful. So what did this used to be? It used to be, initially it was a chip shop and then after the chip shop it was a
00:29 Greek restaurant or a Greek takeaway.
00:32 We saw the opportunity with the football and the locals and wanted to give the community
00:38 something that they could really come and just have a sit and have a nice cup of coffee.
00:42 Yeah. So we tried to provide a nice warm environment for everybody.
00:46 Yeah. Fantastic.
00:48 And yeah, it seems to be working well.
00:50 Have you had good comments from the customers?
00:52 Yeah, the reviews on Facebook have been really good.
00:55 Yeah, so it's just about us making sure that we maintain that standard really for our customers.
01:01 We're enjoying ourselves. It's just in the right position. It's costing us too much money everywhere.
01:06 Do you live near here?
01:08 Yes.
01:10 So you'd recommend it?
01:12 The coffee is first class.
01:14 Is it really? Yeah. Proper coffee?
01:16 Proper coffee. Wonderful.
01:18 And you're here with your granddaughter?
01:20 We bring Lizzie in every Wednesday.
01:22 Yeah. For her lunch.
01:24 Lovely. And are you enjoying your cake?
01:26 Yeah. Is it tasty?
01:28 Yeah. Lovely.
01:30 So who have you got here then? What are your names?
01:32 Carol and Elaine.
01:34 Carol and Elaine.
01:36 And you say you love them the teapot?
01:38 Let's have a look. Let's have a closer for your teapot.
01:40 Yes, eh?
01:42 Lovely.
01:44 So you say this is the first time you've been here?
01:46 And not the last.
01:48 So do you live local? Are you local?
01:50 Yeah. Council.
01:52 So you'd recommend it you say to friends and family?
01:54 Oh, definitely recommend it.
01:56 So what is it about here that you like?
01:58 Apart from the teapot.
02:00 I just love the welcome.
02:02 Love the ambience.
02:04 I do love the ambience.
02:06 And it's...
02:08 When we came in, it was just all warm.
02:10 And, you know,
02:12 just the coffee smells.
02:14 It was just great.
02:16 Lovely. And there's nowhere else like it around here, is there?
02:18 No.
02:20 We've got a coffee shop up the Mill Bank.
02:22 There's a greasy spoon over there.
02:24 But this is...
02:26 Something else.
02:28 Something higher class.
02:30 Lovely.
02:32 OK, Simon and Jane.
02:34 So you're enjoying the meal here.
02:36 What do you think of it?
02:38 It's very good and it's great to have something on your doorstep.
02:40 Brilliant. Can you come again?
02:42 Definitely.
02:44 What did you have?
02:46 The avocado, the avocado on the toast.
02:48 So what made you come here?
02:50 Have you heard about it or somebody recommended it?
02:52 We live just over the road, so it's lovely just to trade
02:54 with a local cafe.
02:56 So not far to come at all.
02:58 And they're low well-behaved dogs.
03:00 Brilliant.
03:02 This is a bonus.
