00:00 Good morning, it's Steph at 3 Press and it's Wednesday December the 6th bringing you some
00:04 of our headlines this morning. Unsurprisingly we have some problems on the road this morning
00:10 due to the icy conditions. We've already received a number of reports of road traffic collisions
00:16 and also some unfortunate car owner has left their car unattended with the engine running
00:24 and has that stolen. So the police are issuing a warning about that. It's quite prevalent
00:30 at the moment so if you are going to defrost your car please stay with it and never leave
00:38 your car keys in if you can while you're not with the vehicle. In other news we have a
00:45 disturbing report about cervical screenings in the city. There is a decrease in the amount
00:51 of people who are attending these screenings. It's vital that you do so. It's a five minute
00:58 job. It's not the best of experiences but it's not the worst of experiences and it could
01:04 save your life. So have a read of that and if you've avoided your appointments please
01:08 do and get booked in with your GP as soon as you can. And then a good news story for
01:14 one of our schools. St Thomas Wharton Academy have been taking part in some groundbreaking
01:21 research into school meals. Quite fascinating. They are one of a number of schools across
01:25 the UK that have been looking into eating habits of school children. So you can read
01:30 about that this morning as well. So for those three stories and for anything else visit
01:35 the website www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and please, please take care on the roads today.
01:42 Speak to you soon.
