00:00 Hi there, I'm Connor Gormley, a trainee reporter for Sussex World and these are some of our
00:04 top stories from across both counties today. Pell's Recreation Ground in Lewis was taped off
00:10 on Saturday. This was early in the morning after police officers were called to reports of a woman
00:15 in distress. A Sussex Police spokesperson said officers are investigating a potential sexual
00:20 assault and the woman is being supported by specialist officers. Meanwhile, in West Sussex,
00:25 an injured northern bottlenose whale died after washing up on shore at Rustington Beach.
00:30 This was despite the best efforts of locals, rescue teams and the British Divers Marine Life Rescue
00:37 Group to return it to the sea. In much lighter news though, the Eastbourne Air Show set off over
00:43 the weekend to rave reviews from guests. It's in its 29th year and it remains one of the standout
00:48 air shows on the south coast. If you check out the Sussex World website, you'll find pictures of the
00:53 Red Arrows display, the Battle of Britain memorial flight, typhoons, spitfires and an awful lot more,
01:00 so that's well worth taking a look at. That's all from me today, but to find out more and keep up
01:05 with all the latest news from your area, do make sure to follow Sussex World on the social media
01:10 platform of your choice - that's Facebook, Twitter or Instagram - and check out our website for
01:15 updates. Thank you very, very much.
