00:00This is my 4th January elections.
00:08I contested each time in where I lived.
00:13But I never moved house.
00:15But this is the third constituency I'm contesting in.
00:20Jiu Jiet, Marine Parade, and now East Coast, my home.
00:30So many of you have experienced that.
00:32This is truly, uniquely Singapore.
00:38Many have asked why I'm back.
00:42Actually, I have never left.
00:50I have just stepped out because I've been called to, called upon.
00:56After GE 2020, I remained active with the party.
01:02But I had no plans to contest one more round.
01:06Two years ago, the party asked me to start ground activities in Pongo.
01:12At some time, I agreed.
01:14So we started walking with some passionate people, including some who are our candidates today.
01:26I told the party that I need not be considered to be a candidate.
01:31I'm still a soldier with fire in my belly.
01:36So, I was happy to prepare the ground.
