00:00And just to start off with, I mean, I'm assuming there's a real sense of pride there in Riyadh that for the second time, the U.S. president has made the kingdom the first stop of his first state visit since taking office.
00:13Well, firstly, thank you very much for having me. And it's good to join you. Indeed, I think there is a great sense of jubilation. And I think your word is far more accurate that there is a sense of pride. But why is this a sense of pride?
00:26I think, in my opinion, this speaks to the success and also this speaks to the fruit of a great deal of Saudi's labor that it had invested in trying to position itself as a middle power, a power in this evolving kind of international order that we find ourselves in.
00:51And, you know, time and again, we're starting to see this role of not just investor, not just a spender in other people's economies, but actually being the recipient of investment.
01:03And I think even today we could see with the who's who coming out of the United States business elites that they're here and they're choosing Saudi Arabia to be a destination for investment.
01:18And so there is indeed that sense of pride.
