Transcript
00:00G'day from the Bureau with your national weather forecast around the country for Wednesday the 14th
00:06of May. And while high pressure dominates much of the country we may see a few more showers through
00:11inland parts of Queensland and also through eastern parts of Queensland and New South Wales on
00:17Wednesday. Maybe even a few light showers as well particularly through the morning through southern
00:22parts of Australia too. Otherwise dry warm and sunny weather continues for much of the country
00:28maybe just the odd shower or storm across Cape York and about far south western parts of Tasmania
00:34late in the day. But let's look at all that in more detail. Firstly in Queensland you can see a trough
00:39sitting through inland parts of Queensland could produce some isolated showers maybe a rumble of
00:44thunder during the afternoon and evening on Wednesday through there but falls will be pretty light and
00:49patchy. Showers also continuing across much of eastern and also southern border areas as well
00:55during the afternoon and evening and they could be more scattered down in the south. Temperatures in
00:59the mid to high 20s for much of the state a bit cooler in the south are in the low 20s and hotter in
01:05the north are in the low 30s. Brisbane looking at a few showers and 26 degrees. Moving down into New South
01:12Wales showers can be quite widespread through eastern and even central parts of the state on Wednesday
01:18and then increasing towards night time along the Queensland border. Temperatures in the low to mid
01:2320s for much of the state and also a bit cooler as well with low 20s through eastern parts of New South
01:30Wales. Canberra looking at a partly cloudy 21 degrees. Sydney 23 with a few showers. Moving down into
01:39Victoria you can see another mild day for most of northern and eastern parts of the state but the cooler
01:44change will move into southern areas during the latter part of the day. That's going to drop temperatures
01:50into the mid to high teens. Maybe just the chance of a shower through southwestern Victoria but they
01:55will be light. They will be isolated and not the soaking rain that we all need. Melbourne looking at
02:00a possible late shower and 19 degrees. Moving down into Tasmania we're going to see a front move through
02:07in the morning. That's going to bring widespread showers to western and southern areas. That'll ease up
02:12as we move through the latter part of day and maybe redevelop around the southwest corner as we get into
02:17Wednesday night. So showers across the west may be isolated shower in the north staying dry though
02:23through eastern parts of Tasmania. A couple of showers may sneak into Hobart 16 degrees. Moving into
02:29South Australia may see some morning light showers around southern parts of South Australia on Wednesday
02:36but again they'll be light they'll be isolated not the soaking rain that we all need. Temperatures in the
02:41mid to high 20s and lots of sunshine in the north around 20 degrees for much of southern South Australia
02:47with those hit and miss isolated drizzly showers. Adelaide a partly cloudy day chance of a shower but
02:53probably not really 21 degrees. Moving into Western Australia we're going to see those light showers through
02:59southern parts of South Australia particularly out towards the Eucla area but the southwestern area
03:04likely to say dry warm and sunny once again. Perth looking at 26 degrees and even warmer as we move
03:11further north with temperatures in the low to mid 30s as we get towards the Pilbara with lots of sunshine
03:17and no rainfall. Finally across northern parts of Australia temperatures in the low to mid 30s for
03:24much of the Kimberley and the Top End getting into the mid to high 20 through southern areas. Remaining dry
03:30for many areas just a chance of a coastal shower up around the northern top end and also Cape York. Darwin
03:37looking at a sunny 34 degrees. And remember if you want the forecast for your area anywhere around
