00:00What are the Yankees going to do?
00:01And how will this affect fantasy when Jiren Carlos Stanton returns?
00:05I know we can make jokes here, okay?
00:07They say he's going to return in late May.
00:08Let's just say for giggles he does.
00:10Then you've got Stanton, Bellinger, Grisham, Rice, Dominguez.
00:16You have five guys for three spots.
00:18Someone's got to sit or someone's got to go bye-bye.
00:21What do you think the Yankees are going to do here?
00:23And what are you going to do with Stanton?
00:24Any chance of starting him in any leagues?
00:25Yeah, you know, actually, earlier this week, there was the Met Gala.
00:33And Andre 3000 from OutKast was there with a piano on his back.
00:38And it reminded me of Giancarlo running.
00:44I don't know how good Giancarlo is in your lineup if you're the Yankees.
00:51I don't know.
00:51I mean, as a DH, sure, you get some at-bats.
00:54I guess he gives you something for, like, three at-bats a game.
01:00And then, like, you're going to have to pinch.
01:02If he gets on base, you're going to have to pinch run for him.
01:04I don't know, man.
01:05I just don't know how much he's going to do, really, if he's even healthy, his arm at least.
01:13Because we know he's got so many other issues.
01:15The back, now the legs.
01:19I just don't know.
01:21I just don't see that much happening with Giancarlo.
01:23So, you know, if you give him, say, 50% of playing time, that moves Ben Rice, I guess, into some sort of platoon.
01:33And that's assuming Ben Rice is still good in, you know, a month and a half, two months when Giancarlo comes back.
01:39Because we've seen this from Ben Rice before, where he's played well for about a month and a half, and then he's just fallen off of a cliff like last year.
01:47So, assuming Ben Rice is still hitting.
01:49So, now we're up to, like, two assumptions.
01:52And then you have Goldschmidt, who's older, who's now, I think, 37 years old.
01:57So, is he going to still be healthy?
01:59I don't know.
02:00You know, it's like, there's so many question marks in the Yankees when it comes to Giancarlo that, yeah, I mean, I'm assuming he's going to come back at some point.
02:08I'm assuming he's going to take some at-bats from somewhere.
02:10But, like, with so many question marks, I think he'll find a way to work his, you know, work into the lineup for maybe 30% to 50% of the time.
02:21And that'll be all they get.
02:23Maybe he gets 200 at-bats this year.
02:25That even feels like a lot.
02:27Maybe 150.
02:28I don't know.
02:29I'm not really counting on Giancarlo anymore.
02:32And I love Giancarlo.
02:33I mean, when he was on Miami, I was, like, the biggest fan.
02:36And I liked him, too, on the Yankees early on.
02:39But, yeah, he's just so old now.
