00:00Because we were going to give all of our efforts, our love, into this last EP.
00:06In California, so LA. LA would be the city for me.
00:10If it's not that whack, we should not do that.
00:20So, uh, Simulat Wakas basically translates to English, uh, beginning and ending.
00:26So, when we were first conceptualizing our, um, EP, um, we have this question in our minds.
00:33Um, how are we going to be able to exceed what we've done before?
00:37How are we going to exceed our best or our maximum potential?
00:41So, um, when we started creating the EP or, uh, giving a title to the EP, we've thought, um, the question, um, what if this is the ending?
00:52What if this is going to be the last? What are we going to do?
00:54And, um, what if this is the beginning?
00:58Um, we've started our goals. We've set our goals and our dreams.
01:02So, how are we going to start it?
01:04Um, that's why we entitled the EP, Simulat Wakas, because we don't, didn't want to close the trilogy of EPs, um, doing, not doing what we wanted to do.
01:16In terms of producing the song, Dam, um, we had a really big or crazy idea in terms of creating the music.
01:31We wanted to, um, make the music more cinematic than before.
01:36Um, so we've incorporated, um, instruments that make it feel really big and epic.
01:43Um, and in terms of, uh, doing the vocals and adding layers to it, we really ensure that everyone will be able to highlight their, you know, utmost, um, ability.
01:55Like, for example, uh, Stell has the highest vocal range, uh, amongst the group.
02:02So, I really tried to, you know, utilize his vocal range, uh, to the point that he'd go dizzy when he sang that part.
02:13Those kind of things.
02:15And for Ken, he has the deepest voice.
02:18So, we tried to utilize that as well.
02:20So, um, for this title track, we just tried to highlight each of the members so that, um, when we present the music to the whole world, it would be like they're listening to the Avengers of the Philippines.
02:34It's like, it's like that.
02:35The music video for them, our title track, um, garnered how many millions in just a few hours.
02:48So, it's the fastest, um, music video or the fastest, um, view, garnering views, uh, for the music video that we have released.
02:57When we released it, um, the music video is, um, very new for us.
03:03It is like a whole CGI music video and when we released the EP, um, it is with a two music videos.
03:12So, the fans, uh, were, like, surprised, were really surprised with those, um, difference, um, to our previous releases.
03:21Actually, um, when the demo was sent to us, um, when the first time we heard about it, um, we all agreed that it, it must be in our, in our, um, EP because the messaging, the melody and all that, um, we think that it's perfect for our EP.
03:49And it, uh, we really, uh, we really relate to it.
03:52So, um, yeah, we, we just had a, um, like a quiet revision, Pablo did, to make it more, um, SB19.
04:03But, basically, I think, uh, we all think that this one's gonna be, uh, loved by many.
04:10I think it's, um, greatly embedded in our culture because when we were kids, um, just like Sel.
04:22I think it was because of when we were young, our families, our parents used to set up this, um, home karaoke in the house and just, you know, just play music and sing along with the family.
04:36And I think that kind of bond that we had when we were kids is like, uh, we grew up on it so that when we, when we were in high school and college, we are into music, I guess.
04:51So, that's why when, um, in international competitions, when they heard a singer, like with, um, beautiful voice, they can really, they can fight, they can really say, are you, are you Filipino or something?
05:07Filipinos were known as good singers and good performers.
05:11And, yeah, as what Pablo said, I think it's very embedded in our culture as well.
05:15Uh, uh, uh, quick trivia, I think almost all of our celebrations here in the Philippines are, like, uh, incorporated with karaoke.
05:26So, if it's your birthday, there's karaoke.
05:28If it's graduation, there's karaoke.
05:30Like, all of the celebrations here, uh, people will always ask you to sing this song, sing this song.
05:36Filipinos, that's, yeah, I guess that's how we grow up, uh, being able to sing for most Filipinos.
05:44Yeah, yeah, most Filipinos, uh, are, uh, are great belters.
05:55Hen, one of our members,
05:56basically talks about, you know, like, pushing through, um, uh, struggles along the way as an artist, you know.
06:05Um, as an artist, I definitely, there's gonna be a lot of, like, um, walls to overcome.
06:10Um, but then, like, uh, we realize we just have to stay strong.
06:15And, you know, uh, with the support of our fans, you know, uh, all that seem impossible is not passable.
06:22So, our group always like to experiment.
06:26So, uh, that's why, uh, when I, uh, just like what I've said earlier, each of us has different styles in music.
06:34And, uh, each of us have different vibes.
06:37So, we try to, um, in order to have this consensus, we try to highlight the styles of each member.
06:45And, uh, we try different genres so that, uh, each member could, you know, um, explore.
06:51Each of us gets to explore the fragment of that member.
06:55Um, first off, um, this is the biggest indoor stage in the whole world.
07:00So, we were able to sell the stage for less than seven hours.
07:05So, we were really, really grateful.
07:07That's why we've invited great minds to collaborate with us to make this show really, really grand.
07:13And, uh, apart from, you know, improving ourselves or training ourselves to equip for the whole performances,
07:20um, we've invited, um, like, uh, great directors who have directed, uh, such great, um, shows.
07:28Also, in doing the, the setting, um, different, um, effects, all of it will be grand.
07:35And, um, we have a surprise that we couldn't tell right now.
07:38But, uh, really, really soon, 18, you should be, um, gearing up for that because you will really have the experience of your life
07:47if you, um, just wait for it.
07:49For me, since my family is in, um, in California, so LA, LA would be the city for me.
07:55I guess, apart from the Universal Studios, LA, um, I'd also want, want to, uh, go visit, uh, Japan.
08:05For me, um, I wanted to, um, because Stel, Stel told us that Pechanga is a really nice place.
08:14So, I wanted to, I'm very excited to go there since we're having a concert there for the first time.
08:19So, since I really love fashion, so, yeah, New York and Japan is, like, like, one and number two.
08:26Both number one for me.
08:27Um, well, if given a chance to have a show in Europe, why not?
08:33I'm excited to go to Europe.
08:35Yeah, that's on the list.
08:37I wish.
08:38Of course, they really liked it.
08:40They were excited about it because before we released this EP, we, um, promote it as individuals, as individual artists.
08:48So, each of us had their own time promoting their own music.
08:52And then our fans, 18, waited for how many years?
08:56Two years before our comeback as a group.
08:58So, they were really excited about the, the EP.
09:02And when we released it, like, every, everyone went gaga about it.
