00:00I'm sick of women not being listened to.
00:02My periods basically involved flooding,
00:05which meant that I would also have to set an alarm through the night
00:09to change my period products.
00:11I'd sleep on a towel.
00:12I was in so much pain that I would sometimes sleep on the floor
00:14so that it would be painful that way
00:17so I wouldn't have to think about the other pain.
00:20I would pass out, I would vomit, I would have diarrhoea
00:23and I would still be going to work.
00:25I would wear two pairs of knickers
00:26and I would always pack a spare pair of tights.
00:29I'd never wear white on my bottom half.
00:31And, you know, I am not uncommon.
00:36And just because it's not uncommon doesn't mean it's normal.
00:38But no one ever asked me or investigated why they're so heavy.
00:43I was told, you'll grow out of it.
00:45What nonsense.
00:46It'll be better when you have a baby,
00:48so I've got to have a baby to stop being in pain.
00:51And then when it was finally diagnosed,
00:53and everyone says, oh, weren't you relieved?
00:56Well, yeah, I can put a name to it.
00:58But there's no cure.
