00:00It's not a huge success at all. It's not even a trade deal. It's a tariff deal.
00:03And we are in a worse position now than we were six weeks ago.
00:07It's better than where we were last week. So it's better than nothing, but it's not much.
00:12And one of the things that concerns me is that we will probably now not get a comprehensive free trade agreement.
00:17It looks like Labour has settled. Every time they negotiate, Britain seems to lose,
00:22whether it's the Chagos Islands, the India trade deal, which they announced earlier in the week.
00:27I don't know what it is about Keir Starmer and Nigel Farage that makes them quiver whenever they see Donald Trump,
00:33but this is not a great deal for Britain. The U.S. is our single biggest trading partner.
00:38The EU is closest to the U.K. We now have an independent trade policy because we left the European Union,
00:44so we can do both at the same time. But what we must do is be sensible and not be naive.
00:50What I see Labour doing is making concessions all the time and not getting very much in return.
00:55That's why I say when Labour negotiates, Britain loses. We've seen it with so many areas,
00:59whether it's Chagos, the India trade deal. So I am a bit concerned about what they're negotiating now with the EU.
