00:00Because we've got this new administration in Washington, as everyone knows, and a fairly new U.S. Secretary of State in the form of Marco Rubio, who's got his hands full.
00:09There are quite a lot of issues around the world that need settling. And as we've been saying, they're not looking for another one.
00:16So who do you think is going to emerge as being the the honest broker of peace between these two sides?
00:22That is difficult to say. The Gulf states, particularly Oman, which is currently brokering talks between the U.S. and India and recently brokered a truce between the U.S. and the Houthis in Yemen.
00:37The Omanis have spoken up and appear to be willing to play a role. So that's a possibility that Oman will play that brokering role.
00:44But right now, there doesn't seem to be any appetite on either side, Pakistan or India, to seek de-escalatory steps that pressure is all the other way.
