00:00Welcome to Strictly For A Cause, our podcast. We are now one week to go until we dance on
00:16the stage in front of 600 people. Can't wait. Today I am joined by Chris Dixon and Alicia
00:21Gillam. Hi. How are you feeling, Alicia? If I'm being brutally honest, I think I'm terrified.
00:30Have you felt that way the whole way through? No, it's just sunken. I've been totally oblivious
00:35to the fact that we actually have to dance in front of 600 people until yesterday. Yeah,
00:40I mean, that didn't help because we, of course, had a drive-on, didn't we, of showdance last
00:45night. And I think that brought you home a bit. How many people did you have watching
00:50you last night? 10? Yeah, a good 10 or so. So we're times in that by 60. Yeah. Excellent.
00:55Thanks for that. Thanks for that mental stress. Yeah. You're welcome. You're welcome.
01:00So you're doing showdance. What's the other dance you've got, Chris? Lyrical, of course.
01:05Lyrical. Yeah, I know that, but our listeners don't necessarily know that. Yeah, Rachel's
01:08doing lyrical with me. I'm doing lyrical too. And do you have a preference over your dances?
01:15Well, I think I know mine. I think I know yours. Are they different? Yeah. Okay. What's
01:21yours, Chris? Mine's lyrical. It's probably because it's the only one I think I'm good at.
01:25You manage to embrace the drama. Yes. And the sadness. Move away from feeling emotionally
01:31constipated. And Alicia, how about you? Why showdance? Because I love my outfit. Does
01:39it give you like a sense of confidence that you maybe don't have an early one? Oh, I can
01:44even answer that. She looks like, you look like a Christian woman in lyrical. But her showdance
01:51one. I can objectively say it as a gay man. Pretty hot. Very nice. I'll take that. Thanks.
01:56Yeah. So it makes you feel empowered, basically. Yeah, a little bit. Yeah. So have you got a
02:02few people coming to see you on the night? On the night? Yeah. How many people? I think
02:06I sold all my tickets. Very good. Do you think you're more nervous about them being there or
02:13all the strangers? Oh, I don't know. I haven't really thought about that. Sorry.
02:17Probably just the amount of people that's there. It is quite a lot. And I don't think
02:22until we're up there, it's going to sink in for me until the day. Yeah. But we were just
02:29talking about this on the lift up. I'm quite happy because we know the running order now,
02:34of course. I was disappointed originally when I knew that we were doing lyrical first because
02:40I thought, that's the heavy hitter. That's the one fully, I think we fully did quite well
02:43on points was. But now I think I'm quite glad we're doing it first because I think show
02:49dance, there's a lot more footwork to show dance, isn't there? Yeah. It's a lot faster.
02:54It's a lot faster. And I think we'll be more stressed doing show dance, I think, just trying
02:57to nail it. Whereas lyrical, I feel like, I don't feel I'll be going into that feeling
03:01of stress. I'm hoping by that point, I'll just be running on adrenaline and I'll not really
03:06care. Or shots. Yeah. One or the other. Do both. Because the thing is, we do have a group
03:12dance first. We go out, we do group dance. And then what number are you on? We're four.
03:16Fourth. So you've got quite, you're not the end, you're not the end. I think we've hit
03:21a good spot, actually. Yeah. Yeah. You've got a bit of time. And I think people from previous
03:26years have said, you're on such a high when you finish group dance that the adrenaline
03:32kind of takes over. Yeah. And it's really fun. It's interesting, actually, because I said
03:36this to you yesterday. I'm dreading group dance more than any of the other dancers. I don't
03:40know why. I don't know why. I just objectively, just I'm dreading that one. I think it's because
03:44that one, oh, there's just moves in it. It's just not. It's so long. It's so long. There's
03:49a whole section of it I just can't do very well. Mm-hmm. So I'm conscious, you know, when
03:54it's that four-step pose change. Oh, yeah. Like that. Trying to do that, like, just.
04:01Head. Yeah. And do you think you hide a little bit more in group dance? I know they want,
04:07the tutors will not approve of me saying this, but do you think the fact that you've got
04:10more people around you does help with that? I mean, that's the benefit of us being told
04:13without the bag. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's true. But I think the way ours is, we're separated
04:22quite a lot. Like, there's only really one bit where you're a big group as such stepped in
04:28height, you know. So obviously, we're at the back, hiding. But I don't think there's very
04:35much of that in our dance at all. Yeah. I think we have a bit of a mix. And you'll still
04:40live, because your family and friends are going to be looking out for you. So we have
04:46been rehearsing since January. We are now at the start of May. Has it gone quicker than
04:52you expected, Alicia? Has it felt like a drag? Has it been what you expected it to do when
04:56you signed up? It's been nothing that I expected, to be honest. It's been really good
05:02fun. But it has. It's been really funny. It's passed in an absolute flash. But on the
05:08other hand, I'm like, oh, my God, I've been doing this since January. You know, we're half
05:11the year's almost gone. So it's a really weird scenario. Am I the only one that feels like
05:17that? No, you're not the only one. No. So I don't know. I don't really know how to explain
05:21that because I'm like, I feel like I'm smack bang in the middle of it. But yeah, it kind
05:25of feels like we only started a few weeks ago. And it will be over and done with this time
05:30in two weeks. And when you started that kind of first moves, they were showing you because
05:35we never got shown our full dance to begin with. No, it was always just bits, wasn't
05:38it? It was always just bits to now being able to dance the full thing. Are you like amazed
05:43at yourself that you've managed to do that? I actually, was it last week? I watched back
05:48some of the first videos. So you know how like we record them during rehearsal so that we
05:52can practice on our own. I watched back some of the first videos of the full like three
05:58minutes or whatever it is from each dance to the most recent ones that we have. And
06:03oh my God, what a difference. And I don't think you can realise that until you watch it
06:07either. It's been a mad rollercoaster. Like there was days when you couldn't pick anything
06:13up, like throwing the towel in completely. And every day you're like, ah yeah, smashed
06:17it. Yeah. But it's been really weird, but really enjoyable at the same time.
06:21I mean, I agree with everything you've just said. And Chris, you've also had that, but you've
06:26also been doing a lot of commuting. Nightmare. Yeah. I mean, I think what we've had three
06:32hour lessons a week and then either side of that, I've got an hour to get here and an
06:36hour back. No, to be fair, we've been doing four hours since January. Yeah. We started
06:42our extra practice quite early on. And actually we've been ramping up over the last couple
06:46of weeks because Alicia's been coming down out to Elgin. Not that we're competitive at all.
06:51Yeah. But, but each time we have done that, cause I, I, I've got a village all very close
06:57to me that I can make use of. But like, I feel like us having that space, even just
07:02spending two, three hours there, we did it yesterday, Monday. I feel like, I feel like
07:06you see like a notable difference. Yeah. In like. The quality. In the quality.
07:11Um, but going back to the commute. Yeah. Like the commute is knackering. Cause I, I mean
07:17the work as well, of course, and I, I try to get to the office for nine o'clock to a full
07:21day here and then you go to dance practice. And then my other problem as well is I've got
07:26nowhere to be between the hour, like between five and seven almost. Yeah. So then I was
07:30just like, Hey, great. I've got two hours to just hang about. Yeah. And has it been what
07:36you expected it to be the dancing? Have you enjoyed it more than you thought? Or has
07:40it, did you think you were going to enjoy it more than you have? Oh yeah. I've definitely
07:44enjoyed it. I mean, I've said it numerous times on the podcast, but I got lyrical is the
07:49one I didn't want to do. Did I? And I made it quite clear. I was like, I'm not interested.
07:56No, whatever. And now it's the one I prefer, but I think I can resonate with lyrical in some
08:03senses in the sense that, um, I kind of get what emotion she wants because we were doing
08:08it the other day. It's just like, and I think that just comes from the creative side of my
08:11job in that I, you know, get people with poor faces and stuff like that. You know, it flows
08:16a bit easier, I guess. Yeah. But it was a show dance. I've got to be this like really macho
08:22man, which I'm not. And it doesn't work too well. You can just stop.
08:28I don't know if he does. I feel like you can tell like, oh, he's gay. You know, as he
08:35walks on stage. You're going to have to like take some, um, what's the words? Get yourself
08:42pumped up before you go on. Shots. I think, I think. Creatine. Oh yeah. Have some creatine
08:49before you go on stage. Something we would do. Yeah. Is that a thing? Please work out.
08:54Yeah. Yeah. Like gets them all pumped up. I'll stop it. Could you imagine? Bikes it
09:00off the roof. That's it. Um, but it's certainly been a roller coaster and I certainly feel
09:04the same like lyrical. I thought I was going to prefer to musical theatre. I can't wait
09:09to see your musical theatre. I'm so excited. I actually really enjoy musical theatre because
09:13it's like that kind of like springy, upbeat. And I really hate movies that people sing
09:19in. Like, it's just not natural. You don't, you're not in the middle of a conversation. You burst
09:23into song. Like, it's just not normal. Well, I do in my own house because it's just me.
09:27Like, you know, and sometimes in the office, but yeah, they just irritate me. So yeah, but
09:34I've actually really enjoyed it. But I just, I still can't believe it's a week away. It
09:38doesn't feel too real at all. And obviously a big part of it has been fundraising. We are
09:44now coming towards the end of that because our money has to be in by Monday. What has that
09:49experience been like for you, Alicia? Because you've had a few different events on. What
09:52have you hosted?
09:54Yeah. So I think I've found it a bit more difficult than I thought it was going to be. And I've
10:00kind of put that down to the climate at the minute. I think people aren't really wanting
10:06to spend money as much as they would have. And there's also been loads of fundraising events
10:12going on at the same time, which again, it's been tons. It's been so much. Not that that's
10:19a bad thing, but I think my personal opinion on that would be that people need to have a
10:22look at when things are done and look at whether they can spread them out a bit more to make
10:26life a little bit easier for people who do put on these events. I had a mediumship night
10:35in February. I think that was my first one, which went really well. I had a race night
10:41in March, which again, done really, really well. Or I was going to have a murder mystery
10:47night. But unfortunately, I had to cancel that because I just didn't sell enough tickets, which
10:52in turn meant cancelling the tipsy tea party that I was going to have the weekend after
10:57because I just couldn't chance putting money out on everything and not selling the tickets.
11:02Yeah. So it's a shame, but it's one of those things. Yeah. It is what it is. But you've
11:08still done really well. You're over what, five grand? Yeah, five, five, six, I think.
11:15I mean, that's amazing. Yeah. Still a few wee bits and pieces to come in. So yeah, not bad
11:20at all. It's very good. Thank you. And Chris, you've done a few different ideas as well. You've
11:25done some dance lessons. Have you? Yeah, I did that once. Yeah. Meals at your house.
11:31Mostly meals and meals. You started very early, actually. You had your Robert Burns now. Yeah.
11:41Well, I was getting like the fear thinking if I don't do anything sooner rather than later,
11:45it's all just going to stagnate. I don't know. I think my problem is Elgin. The Highlands
11:51Hospice doesn't really quite resonate out in Elgin as much as I hoped it would.
11:55It's a little funny. Yeah, I thought it would be. So the dinners have done well. They've always
12:01never seen the point in doing an event if I could only get two or three hundred pounds
12:04from it, if I'm being totally honest. But maybe there is a logic to that, because I think that's
12:08probably why some people got so high, which is why I like the dinners, because I felt like
12:11they were low cost, but high value.
12:15High value. So most of my money is coming through that sort of by doing that effectively. So that's
12:22been good. But I had one or two ideas. I just never got the time to do it, to be honest. Work's
12:29really busy, as you know, which isn't an excuse, but it is just the...
12:33And by the time you do your practice, but I think it's like you said...
12:35It's time consuming. It goes quick. This time really does go quick.
12:39I mean, you asked about my commute, right? Like that's three hours sat in a car and then
12:44one hour's in a lesson. So, you know, that's time taking out my day before I can even sort
12:50of think about doing an email or so to people. So that's been a big thing.
12:54Yeah, it is time consuming to organise these things. And I think as well, you think you've
12:59got more time than you do and you get to a certain point and then you're like, oh, bugger.
13:04Yeah.
13:05Can't do that anymore because I haven't got enough time to organise it. Yeah. So it does
13:10take a lot of planning. And when you've got work full time as well, the day just runs away
13:16with it before you know it.
13:18Yeah. And then you're right. Okay, I'm off to dance practice.
13:20Yes.
13:20Time for dinner.
13:21Try and sleep.
13:22Yeah, exactly. Sleep. Off we go. Here we go again.
13:25Yeah.
13:25And it has been like that. And I think it has been really... Because for me, it's
13:29seen how the weather has changed. You know, like when we first started off, it was dark.
13:33Dark and miserable.
13:34It was miserable. Like you'd go to dance practice in the dark, leave in the dark. Whereas
13:37now you're going and you're like, oh, beautiful sunshine. Yeah. And it really, that kind of
13:43shows me how long we haven't been doing it for. But like you say, it feels really quick.
13:47It feels like I just, I don't really remember the process of learning everything. But I have
13:51learned.
13:51It's just kind of happened.
13:52Yeah. Yeah.
13:54It has happened.
13:55I think there were days we were going for the group and I was like, I can't remember.
13:58Or I think it was like the last half of the dance. And then all of a sudden I'm like,
14:02oh, I don't know what I'm doing.
14:03Yeah.
14:04Just small degree.
14:05Yeah. And I don't know about you guys, but did you find that you would do a dance one
14:09week and really not get it, but the next week it would click?
14:11Well, yeah. I mean, I had that yesterday, Monday. I keep saying, I keep thinking it
14:15as yesterday. But like, you know, that little bit of footwork that we have to do for lyrical
14:19where you run backwards.
14:21Oh, the one I keep getting wrong.
14:23I wouldn't say that.
14:24Yeah.
14:24Well, I got it.
14:28I'm joking. But like, I don't know. Oh, no, not that bit. No, the bit before that, you
14:33know, where it's the sort of fist pump in the air and sort of run back.
14:36Oh, you said lyrical. I'm getting confused.
14:38You did say lyrical.
14:39That's in group.
14:40No.
14:40Oh, that bit.
14:42Yeah.
14:42Oh, got you. Sorry.
14:43Yeah, that bit. But I feel like I got that bit quite, that's probably the best of it,
14:47don't you?
14:48So I was like, oh. But then it was just, I think sometimes you just need to recontextualise
14:51what you've been asked to do. And then when you recontextualise it, you're like, actually,
14:55I get it.
14:56Yeah. Yeah. For me now it's hard because last week in musical theatre, she was making us
15:00do the faces. And for some reason, something that I've had since the beginning, right, could
15:05do the steps, no problem. And then she was like, do the face. Because I forget to remember
15:10what to do with my feet. Not at all. Because I was so busy trying to focus on, like, looking
15:14in musical theatre, like, where do I need to be and what do I have to do at this point?
15:18Because it's so many things. As soon as you add hands in, everything else goes. It's that
15:22classic thing of, like, rubbing your belly and patting your head.
15:25Absolutely.
15:26Because it is just really difficult to do it all at once. But yeah, it has definitely been
15:30an experience. Now, you two met at painting night. And did you kind of just immediately
15:36kind of click when you started dancing together? Or kind of felt like you were
15:40at the same level?
15:41I think we got on quite well.
15:42Yeah.
15:43Straight away. I was dancing with someone else. I think I was dancing with two other people.
15:47Then we got paired.
15:48Yeah. I mean, it's always a bit awkward when you don't know somebody and you're straight
15:52up in their personal space. And yeah, I mean, that's always a bit awkward.
15:56I mean, I think the most awkward bit we had was like the first day of doing show dance
16:00and I had your fire in my hand.
16:01Yeah. That really threw you.
16:03That really threw you.
16:04Oh, God, this is unfamiliar territory.
16:07Because that has been something for you because it has been completely at your comfort zone.
16:12It's on again.
16:13Yeah. I've never touched so many boobs in my life.
16:14Yeah.
16:15So if men are not looking to join strictly, well.
16:18That's your silly.
16:19That's us.
16:20But it sounds like you've had a really good partnership for you to be well be comfortable
16:25to do that, Chris. And Alicia has been a very good understanding person to do that.
16:31We've been, it's been a really good laugh, hasn't it?
16:34Yeah.
16:35Like, honestly, there's nights I go home crying just because I'm laughing so much.
16:38It's ridiculous.
16:39I'm like, I'm going again because I'm thinking about last night's group chat.
16:43Yeah.
16:44Honestly, it's just like.
16:45Because Billy's in our chat as well, of course.
16:47So we've been really lucky with the people that we've been.
16:50Surrounded by.
16:51Yeah, absolutely.
16:52They've helped us get through it.
16:54It's been, it's been wild.
16:55And I think it's like pretty lifelong friendships now as well.
17:00This is.
17:01Yeah, there's a good, there's a good group there.
17:03Out of curiosity, did I throw you yesterday?
17:05Because I, not like throw, throw.
17:07Like, like.
17:08At what point?
17:09Well, show dance.
17:10When I was, I was probably a bit.
17:12Oh, at the very end?
17:13I was thinking in the middle.
17:15Well, I felt it at the end when we're meant to be in a static pose and I went over.
17:19Well, that as well.
17:21Because yeah, that's another thing you guys have got a lot of lifts.
17:24We won't tell people what they are, but how has that been trust wise?
17:27Because you have to trust each other to be able to do that.
17:30Is that grown over time?
17:32Or is that, do you just kind of have to do it?
17:34I'm kind of one of those people that I'm like, okay, I'll just get on with it.
17:37I think.
17:38What's the worst that's going to happen?
17:39Yeah.
17:40I think I've said to you on more than one occasion, just like, let me worry about it.
17:45You know, I'll make sure that my legs need to be where they need to be.
17:49Yeah.
17:50And they usually are comfortable.
17:51Because I feel like for Alicia in particular, I don't think you might understand this, but
17:54I feel like you're quite sensitive about your height.
17:56Would you say that?
17:58Or conscious of it.
17:59Probably a bit more conscious of it.
18:01Yeah.
18:02I didn't mean sensitive.
18:03Sorry.
18:04I meant conscious.
18:05And so I'm just conscious that that comes with its own little bits of stresses.
18:08It's not even height.
18:09It's just the length of legs.
18:10Yeah, that's what.
18:11People have to do things.
18:13Like one in particular.
18:14Yeah.
18:15In show dance.
18:17I'm trying to keep my legs straight.
18:19I feel like I need to be tied by a rope or something so they don't fall over.
18:25It's just ridiculous.
18:26And there is another one, another lift that we were trying to practice that we had to change.
18:32And again, I think that was really hard weight bearing wise, because a lot of my weight is in my legs.
18:39I've got quite a short body and compromise into my legs.
18:44So it puts me a bit off kilter in these situations.
18:48Yeah.
18:49So we had to, we tried a good selection of, I mean, what was quite nice is we actually just, we went away, didn't we?
18:54We just went on TikTok and found lifts that we thought we wanted to achieve.
18:57Yeah.
18:58Some interesting videos from, from a tech series as well.
19:03Yeah.
19:04And that's a good thing is we're going to be able to share them soon with everybody.
19:07I actually can't wait to see this big montage.
19:09It's going to be a whole year.
19:10Yeah.
19:11Of like how you're learning.
19:12And you guys did have a fall in lyrical near the beginning.
19:15I think it was when we had to do that run.
19:17Oh yeah.
19:18And that monkey grab.
19:20When you jumped on my back.
19:22It was when the spore wasn't there.
19:25Yeah.
19:26Yeah.
19:27I don't think anybody got that in video.
19:29No.
19:30It's a shame.
19:31No, and it sounded very sore on the knees, to be honest.
19:33I think that was only like three or four weeks in.
19:35Yeah.
19:36It's quite early.
19:37It was early.
19:38So was, when did we start doing lifts for show dance?
19:40Because we had a few falls then.
19:41They were a bit.
19:42Well, you had a few falls, I didn't.
19:44I was mostly the one dropping.
19:46I was like, yeah, whose falls are that?
19:49Yeah, they were, they were a bit later than the show dance ones.
19:54Yeah.
19:55But it's been a good laugh.
19:56And yeah, I, I'm one of these people that will throw myself into a situation and then
20:01think about it afterwards.
20:02Mm-hmm.
20:03So there has been a few times where I've like, oh, yeah, should have thought about that.
20:08Mm-hmm.
20:09So, talking about throwing yourself into situations, what made you sign up for Strictly and Burness?
20:15Mm-hmm.
20:16So it's something that I always fancy doing.
20:17Mm-hmm.
20:18Never really had the, the guts to do it.
20:20Well, two life, two life feet.
20:22I don't know if anybody's seen the TikTok that my friend made of my dance moves at the
20:26very start of Strictly.
20:28Mm-hmm.
20:29That will show you the extent of my dance experience.
20:31And then last year I went to watch my friend Emma, who's the mentor on Friday.
20:37Mm-hmm.
20:38She was in Strictly last year and I was just absolutely amazed and completely blown away
20:45at what they had done.
20:47And then on top of that, last year was one of those years where everything was thrown
20:52at you and I thought, what's another thing?
20:56So I just applied for it and here we are.
20:59Yeah, you are.
21:00Days to go.
21:01Thinking about it later on.
21:03Yeah.
21:04And how about you, Chris?
21:06What was your reasoning for signing up?
21:09Well, let's be honest, work threw me in.
21:12Mm-hmm.
21:13So mostly just that.
21:14Yeah.
21:15No, no, no, I don't regret that.
21:17I will admit I signed up not knowing about the fundraising.
21:20So that was a nice little surprise when I was like, oh, yeah, I'll do it.
21:23And then it's, oh, but you've got to do the fundraising as well.
21:27And then I thought, oh, but that's mostly been the driving reason, I'll be honest.
21:31Yeah.
21:32Feels a bit of weight.
21:33Don't think I've done that.
21:34I don't like what you said last week.
21:35I think I've just eaten more, gained weight.
21:37Yeah.
21:38Yeah.
21:39I am so annoyed.
21:40I'm so annoyed.
21:41I was like, I'm going to have a beach body.
21:43Yeah.
21:44But I am still just, yeah.
21:48You said my posture's better.
21:50Definitely.
21:51So that's a win.
21:53My legs are musclier.
21:54Do you know what I mean?
21:55Like they're more solid.
21:57They're more solid.
21:59But yeah.
22:00I definitely, I think you're, I think your confidence is growing as well.
22:04Like from the first time that I met you.
22:06Yeah.
22:07Yeah.
22:08Because every time I had to do a lift, I'd be like that.
22:11I'm more scrunched up.
22:12And now you're like, just come on, hurry up.
22:13Let's go.
22:14Yeah.
22:15Um.
22:16Yeah.
22:17And I think, I think that's been one of the great things about us.
22:19But also I think the show, one thing I would say about the show dance and Billy and Kellyanne
22:22and stuff like that, it's just like Billy's very good at making you feel comfortable.
22:25And in his own little way, you know, Billy's very good at calming you.
22:29I think just easing the.
22:30The tension.
22:31The tension.
22:32Yeah.
22:33He knows how to break the ice.
22:34I don't think he, well, I don't think he knows how to.
22:36He just does.
22:37Um, so that's been good.
22:41Um, well, I think it's been very, I know there's been, there's other slow dances, but
22:47I feel like from my point of view, it's, it's very like yin and yang.
22:52You've got like show dance being very sort of out there and loud.
22:55Yeah.
22:56And then you've got his other dance that's very sort of.
22:59Soft and gooey.
23:00Soft and gooey.
23:01Yeah.
23:02And gooey.
23:03Which is good.
23:04That contrast that you'll be able to show the judges and the audience, you know, the
23:09different spectrums.
23:11Well, not even that.
23:13If we just don't speed up.
23:15Slow down.
23:16Yeah.
23:17I know we'll be done and there's like three minutes of the song.
23:19Yeah.
23:20Yeah.
23:21Yeah.
23:23Off the dance floor.
23:24Music's still going.
23:26Ta da.
23:27Done.
23:28Could be done.
23:29So just a few days to go.
23:31What are you going to, how are you going to make the most of these next few days that
23:35are left?
23:36What's your plans, Alicia?
23:37Get tanned.
23:38Yeah.
23:39Not too much.
23:40Not too much.
23:41I have taken next week off work.
23:43So I can kind of just chill out a little bit in the run up.
23:48Maybe do a little bit more practice next week.
23:51And then just enjoy it.
23:54Or at least try to.
23:56I think if the nerves will stay at bay for a wee while.
24:00Erm.
24:01I'm looking forward to going on Thursday night and seeing the hard work that everybody's
24:04put in.
24:05We've seen bits last night which was great.
24:07Yeah.
24:08Yeah.
24:09Leo and Norton.
24:10Yeah.
24:11They are good.
24:12So good.
24:13I think everybody that we saw last night just.
24:15And I think it's going to be the same with everybody that we've seen.
24:19You know like you've seen bits and pieces.
24:20Yeah.
24:21Throughout it.
24:22I can't wait to see it all put together in the outfits and stuff.
24:25It looks so good for me.
24:27It is.
24:28It's exciting seeing all the hard work people.
24:30How about you Chris?
24:31What are you going to do?
24:32Make the most of it?
24:33Yeah.
24:34What am I going to do?
24:36Erm.
24:37I've got.
24:38I am working next week.
24:39I'm working Monday and Tuesday.
24:40But then my tan.
24:41I'm not.
24:42It's going to see this.
24:43Yeah.
24:44I'm.
24:45For some reason in my head I've like Wednesday just isn't on my
24:49radar.
24:50I know I'm dancing in it but I don't.
24:51I just.
24:52It.
24:53It just isn't.
24:54It's my day off Wednesday.
24:55That's why I keep thinking.
24:57I'm just not really like thinking it's.
25:00It's part of it.
25:01I know.
25:02I know it kind of is.
25:03And so I'm like.
25:04That's fine.
25:05I've got to Friday.
25:06That's the only thing I keep thinking in my head.
25:10Erm.
25:11Other than.
25:12Yeah.
25:13I'm really bad at sort of.
25:15I think.
25:16Thinking about things in this sort of capacity.
25:18I'm really.
25:19Like give it.
25:20Give it a week after.
25:21I'll be like oh I did that.
25:22Yeah.
25:23That's fine.
25:24Erm.
25:25Which is quite bad actually.
25:26I need to be better at reflecting on stuff.
25:28I'm.
25:29I dissociate while things are happening.
25:31And then when it happened.
25:32Like a few months have passed.
25:33I'll be like oh I did do that.
25:34Yeah.
25:35See I've.
25:36Like.
25:37What if I was nervous about dancing on the night.
25:39And I was like I've not even thought about it.
25:40I'm not going to think about it.
25:42But this is it.
25:43I haven't until yesterday.
25:44But this is it.
25:45It goes back to my point.
25:46I'm not nervous about.
25:47I don't feel as.
25:48Yesterday caught me off guard.
25:49When I had to do in front of people.
25:51So I'm like.
25:52And I was nervous then.
25:53But then.
25:54Equally I could see everyone.
25:55So they didn't help.
25:56And I could see that they were looking at us watching.
25:58I'm hoping.
25:59The lights down.
26:00And stuff.
26:01I am hoping.
26:02That.
26:03You won't hear anything.
26:04Well you will hear people cheering.
26:05I'm hoping you won't see anything.
26:06Yeah.
26:07It's like you won't.
26:08Could you hear me on a different planet.
26:09Yeah.
26:10I think you're going to be very different.
26:14Well what we're going to do now.
26:16Is our wheel of.
26:17Fortune.
26:18Or torture.
26:19Whatever you want to call it.
26:20So Alicia.
26:21If you can.
26:22Give the.
26:23Wheel a spin for me.
26:24Please.
26:25I want to.
26:26It's all right.
26:27What's going to happen.
26:28Nothing to worry about it.
26:30Inside joke.
26:31So if you go look in here.
26:32There's a little.
26:33Question.
26:34And you are going to ask Chris.
26:35Chris the question.
26:36What am I looking at.
26:37I'm looking for this.
26:38Right.
26:39Okay.
26:40Right.
26:41Okay.
26:42What's.
26:43What's our funniest inside joke.
26:44That never fails to write in your day.
26:46Hmm.
26:47It's probably got to be the brogues.
26:49Shut up.
26:52And that's not really an inside joke.
26:54Because that was on public.
26:55Radio.
26:56Radio.
26:57Huh.
26:58What is it.
26:59Explain it to us.
27:00Well.
27:01It was.
27:02It was when we went.
27:03Went and did.
27:04Hospital radio.
27:05And you know Terry.
27:06Yeah.
27:07Doing his little questions.
27:08At the very end of.
27:09Of the hour slot.
27:11We get asked the question.
27:12Where do you wear brogues.
27:13In fact.
27:14Where do you wear brogues.
27:16I would have worn rogues to like school.
27:18Or work.
27:19On your feet.
27:20Yeah.
27:21On your feet.
27:22Yeah.
27:23On your feet.
27:24Yeah.
27:25So I had said outside.
27:26So that's it.
27:27I was buying.
27:28I couldn't speak in the game.
27:29For the rest of the night.
27:30In case I said something else.
27:31That's so funny.
27:32It was so bad.
27:33That's very good.
27:34When I was at hospital radio.
27:35They asked me.
27:36Who.
27:37Is that actor.
27:38From a touch of frost.
27:39And I was like.
27:40David something.
27:41Or Jason something.
27:42And then we're like.
27:43We'll give you that.
27:44It's David Jason.
27:45Oh.
27:46No.
27:47Let's have to go for it.
27:48I got to go.
27:49We'll get that.
27:50Right.
27:51Chris.
27:52Your time.
27:53No.
27:54No.
27:55No.
27:56No.
27:57No.
27:58No.
27:59No.
28:00No.
28:01No.
28:02Right Chris.
28:03Your turn.
28:04My turn.
28:05Surprise.
28:06Surprise.
28:07I don't know what this one is.
28:08I'm worried.
28:09Oh.
28:10Oh god.
28:11Is there a side of me.
28:12You never anticipated seeing.
28:14Yeah.
28:15Yeah.
28:16Yeah.
28:17Oh that's probably the other thing.
28:23I didn't mind.
28:24You can say it.
28:25What is the side Alicia?
28:26Um.
28:27I think Chris is actually the funniest person I've ever met.
28:31Aw.
28:32And when I first met you.
28:33I was a bit concerned that you might be a little bit dry.
28:36And unsure about like how to take certain things.
28:40But oh my god.
28:41I was so wrong it was not even funny.
28:43Aw.
28:44That's nice.
28:45That is nice.
28:46It's the nicest compliment you can get isn't it?
28:47I don't think I've ever had a compliment like that.
28:49Aw.
28:50The funniest person you've ever met.
28:51I don't think I'm that funny.
28:52That's the thing.
28:53I think that's probably an exaggeration to be honest.
28:54To be honest.
28:55But.
28:56That you like.
28:57You don't realise how funny you are.
28:58And that makes it funnier.
29:00Yeah.
29:01I did say to Alicia I was going down on her.
29:04Aw.
29:05Like.
29:06Without intention.
29:07I was just like.
29:08Alicia I'm just going to go down on you.
29:09No.
29:10No.
29:11We were with that.
29:12Ellie and Kelly Amd in Extra Factors.
29:14And they asked about something.
29:15And they turned around and went.
29:16What?
29:17When I go down on you.
29:18And I was like.
29:19Excuse me.
29:20That is not what happens.
29:23But I think.
29:24I do know why I think I'm like.
29:25I think it's because I'm just not used to the female body in that.
29:28And I think I'm just socially awkward like that.
29:31Yeah.
29:32So I don't realise what I said.
29:33Yeah.
29:34But it's actually really funny.
29:35Like honestly I was crying.
29:36In fact I've lost count of the amount of times I've been crying because I've laughed so hard.
29:40That's good.
29:41That's a good memory to have.
29:42Yeah.
29:43It's really good.
29:44I think we're very lucky.
29:45Yeah.
29:46Yeah.
29:47You have.
29:48Yeah.
29:49The relationship that we've built up.
29:51Mm.
29:52Yeah.
29:53It's good.
29:54Teamwork makes the dream work.
29:56Mm.
29:57Well we'll find out on the night.
29:58Won't we?
29:59We shall.
30:00Well good luck.
30:01And thank you both for coming in and Chris from leaving your desk to come here.
30:05Oh so far.
30:06And being on the other side.
30:07Longest commute I've done so far.
30:08Yeah.
30:09All the best.
